Chapter 38: Worry or Curious

Elle hates when she's sick. He was actually going to school. However, his chatty and meddling older brother forced him not to attend school. He only got the flu.

Getting the flu in the spring is not uncommon for Elle. In the winter, he rarely gets the flu. Never mind.Elle doesn't want to think about yesterday anymore. Yesterday was the best day Elle ever had.

Instead of making up with Bren, he even got into a fight with the guy.

Elle let out a rough breath while staring blankly at the bowl of soup before her.

“What is the soup dead? Until you mourn her like that while sighing out loud?” yellena asked while tapping her spoon on the table so Elle would wake up from her daydream.

Elle threw a murderous gaze towards Yellena.

“No need to look at me like that. You can try to kill me once you're healthy. Just finish your food and take medicine afterwards,” Yellena said as she lowered her head to sip the steaming soup from the spoon in her hand.

“Let me go to school.”

“You're sick. Just rest.”

“I just got the flu. Not a deadly disease.”

Yellena's hand scooping the soup in the bowl, stopped for a moment to hear the new sentence saha thrown by Elle. His face changed instantly. Become stiff and empty at the same time.

“Do not speak origin. Just finish your food and take medicine,” said Yellena coldly. Elle had never heard of Yellena as serious and cold as that. So, he followed Yellena's words without fighting back.

Bren doesn't see Elle at school. He did not take the same class as Elle today.

Bren didn't want to care. However, the gossip Tyler brought made him quite worried.

“I heard Clark was sick today. What pain did he not get in today? Is it that bad to not be able to go to school?”

“Is there nothing else to talk about? I'm tired of you guys talking about Red Hair.”

Bren no longer listened to the conversation between his friends. Because his mind was now wondering what happened to Elle. Did that girl get sick because she snapped at her last night?

Bren wants to contact Elle directly, but his ego refuses. He's too proud to call Elle first. The only person Bren can ask about Elle's current situation is Jackson. The one who also intends to kill him for dating Elle.

Bren tries to think quickly about how he can figure out Elle's situation without having to ask Jackson or contact Elle directly.

“I have to go to the toilet,” say goodbye Sara.

When Sara left her friends. The idea crossed Bren's mind. He has gossip friends. Why not just use it.

“Tyler, Joe, you guys are good at gossip right?”

“You think I'm a gossip presenter?” tyler did not accept.

“Not so, Dude,” elak Bren. “I need you to dance know something...”.

Tyler and Joe stare at Bren, waiting for Bren to finish his sentence. However, Bren is just staring back and forth between Tyler and Joe.

Like weighing should he convey his curiosity or he pendam himself?

Because Bren is worried that his friends will mock him if they know that Bren is curious about Elle's situation.

“He wants you to find out about Clark's situation,” shoot Adam on target.
