3 Months Girlfriend
Chapter 12: Elle's Boyfriend Candidate

Bren doesn't know what he's doing until he gets stuck in the car of someone he doesn't know. Today he was supposed to take Elle away and shoot her as he had planned. However, Jackson and the guy who was now driving in front of him, messed things up.

His friends have started to ridicule him for not having even managed to ask Elle out on a date. The agreement between them has been in place for almost a month. The season has changed and Bren is not dating Elle yet. Tyler threatens to cancel the deal and approaches Elle if Bren doesn't make it to Elle.

Elle seems cool chatting with a guy Bren just found out named Ander. Bren had never seen such a wide smile of Elle before. What is Ander's relationship with Elle? Bren feels a special connection between the two.

“By the way, Ander. Where did you get my number? And my school address? And how do you know that I didn't bring the car today?” Elle bombards Ander with questions that have been lodged in his brain.

Ander laughed softly before responding to Elle's question. “From Yellena. All the information I got from Yellena. Yellena and Miguel are dating. You don't know?”

Elle was surprised. “Seriously, Ader? I just found out.”

Bren leaned his back against the back of the chair. He had no idea what the two people in front of him were talking about. And that makes him very upset. He never expected that a Bren Hudson should be stuck in a stranger's car and ignored like this.

“You're right to be just friends? If other people who don't know see you two together, maybe they'll think that you guys are dating,” comments cynical Bren.

“Yes. You guys look very familiar. Have you been friends for a long time?” Jackson who had only noticed the interaction between Elle and Ander immediately asked questions after Bren spoke. He was curious about the relationship between the two. Because Jackson never saw this kind of open Elle to anyone else. Not to him either. So, he wondered what Elle's relationship with Ander was.

“We were friends when I was still living in Africa for seven years,” Elle explained.

“You sure you're just friends?” bren asked trying to sound as stupid as possible. He threw his eyes out the window.

“To be honest... we have dated,” Ander said.

The words thrown by Ander make Bren turn his back from the window, and turn quickly towards Elle and Ander alternately. Ander is a threat. A far more real threat than Jackson.

“But, we only dated for a few months,” Ander added.

“We only dated for a month, Ander. Not for a few months. Don't exaggerate,” protest Elle.

“You sure there are no more feelings for each other? All I see is that you guys look like you want to go back on a date again,” Bren comments as he lifts his back, and stares in full search.

Elle shook her hands in front of her face. “Cannot be. Me and Ander are like brothers.”

Without Bren noticing, the smile on his lips expanded. Elle doesn't like Ander as a man.  That's a good thing for Bren. But what about Ander? Does she have any special feelings for Elle as a girl? Bren had to ask so he could know his position.

“I have to drop you guys where? Or do you want to come with Elle to my new house party?” ask Ander. Making questions that are already at the tip of Bren's tongue, said Bren.

“I'm coming!” bren and Jackson said. They stared at each other fiercely. Bren is upset that Jackson has been following him. Jackson doesn't know what he's doing right now. He did what he was not at all like he was used to.

Bren passed the cakes lined up neatly on the table. The variety of cakes that make a tall stack neat and beautiful. However, as beautiful and attractive as the cakes were, Bren had no intention of touching them at all.

From a distance Bren can see Elle chatting with a couple who is very clear Bren does not know who they are. No. gabe. There's no one at this party that Bren knows his name. Except Elle, Jackson and Ander.  

Ander seemed to stand beside Elle and embrace Elle's waist leisurely. Elle seemed to have no objection to it. It's cool to laugh at something that Bren doesn't know what. Elle laughed more than Bren had ever seen before.

Bren sees Elle embracing Ander's waist back. They were standing too close for Bren.

Bren walked closer to the two. Arriving there, Bren has got Jackson who came first to approach Elle. The presence of Jackson and Bren makes a long black-haired woman who Bren suspects is still under 25 years old, asking Elle who Bren and Jackson are.

“Friends, introduce. It's Yellena. My sister.”

Ah... So this woman is Elle's sister? And let Bren guess. The guy standing next to her was definitely Elle's sister's boyfriend. It's a great opportunity for Bren to get acquainted with Elle's sister.

Jackson seemed to shake Yellena's hand first. “Jackson Rivera's. Friends Elle.”

Bren displayed her most charming smile before introducing herself to Yellena. He kissed Yellena's back. Act like a gentleman to attract Yellena's attention. 

“Bren Hudson's. Elle's boyfriend.”

Not only was Yellena surprised. Ander and Jackson look as surprised as Bren's statement. And Elle was of course now the most shocked party here.

Elle blinked her eyes repeatedly. What does Bren mean by that? Elle thought Bren had only considered him a friend.

Yellena laughed happily. “Well, so you publicly stated that you're going to date my sister in a minute?”

“Of course. But, honestly I haven't shot him,” Bren said confidently.

“So, Bren. When are you going to start dating my sister?”

“Yellena!” furious Elle. He was so embarrassed now. How could these two people chat about him in front of him so casually like he was not there right now.

Bren shrugged his shoulders. “Maybe I'll shoot him after this party. You know, a lot of people have been approaching Elle lately and I don't want anyone else to get ahead of me.”

“And how can you be so sure that Elle will receive you?”

“He also likes me,” Bren said with confidence. Elle rounded her eyes in surprise.  He really likes Bren. But hearing Bren say that clearly made her feel embarrassed. So, Bren knew all along that Elle liked her? Did Elle act so clearly that Bren immediately found out that Elle still liked him?

“I'm very sure of it...” Elle no longer heard Bren's words because she had left before Bren and Yellena. If he survives a little longer it feels like his face will turn into a boiled crab so shamefully.
