Am I Different?

Am I Different?
Dream~2

After my mother put me in bed, I went out of the room. I was so excited to hear mom call someone, it must be dad. He returned shortly with a glass of water.

“Dek, this is the water to drink first. Earlier I read a letter, I hope Dedek is okay,” said the mother while giving water to me.

I received water from my mother and drank it.

“Bu, actually Dedek why? Dedek after pointing, then no longer remember anything,” my question to mom while trying to remember it.

Mom hugged and stroked my head.

“Dedek earlier, possessed by a spirit that was seen. Just wanted to take Sekar Lo's son, Dek. Said her son,” said mother told.

“Kok can yes, Mom. Did I bring shit, anyway? Mom, every time I try to tell you there's always something going on,” I said, bowing my head.

“Whose word, Dedek brought shit? No, Deck. Earlier Mbak Sekar thanked Dedek, meaning his sign Dedek is not an unlucky carrier, but quite the opposite,” replied mother tried to calm me.

“But, Mom ...." I tried to talk back.

“Already, rest only. I'll be home soon, I'll tell your dad about what happened. Dedek just rest,” said mother while stepping out of my room.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep in my dream.

_____________

Long enough I fell asleep, I felt my body move. Then try to open your eyes slowly.

“Dek, let's get up. Shower continue to pray first, yuk,” dad wake me up.

“Dad, When to come?” my many.

“Barusan, Deck. Come, shower first in the afternoon.” Dad told me to leave my room.

I woke up doing my father's orders, when I was done I went out of my room to look for my parents.

“Dad, Mother." I called.

“In the kitchen, Deck." Mother replied.

I'm the way to the kitchen.

“Sit here, Deck,” dad said as he patted the chair trying to dust off.

I approached my father when I saw my mother shocked by the figure of the woman I saw at the house of Mbak Sekar.

“Go from here, Go!" I threw the fruit on the dining table at the figure.

I did it over and over again, dad hugging me trying to wake me up.

“Dedek .. The Mom, Son. You see again baby!” dad spoke to me.

“Not, Dad. That was the girl, Dad. Tell him to leave our house,” I said with my index finger pointing towards mother.

“Dek, this is Dear Mother,” said mother.

I heard her say, then slowly tried to see her.

“Mother, sorryin Dedek yes, Ma'am,” I said as I cried a mouthful.

I didn't see the figure, then mom tried to get close to me and hugged me.

"Well, how do we try to ruqyah Dedek?" mom asked dad.

"Later, I try to go to Pak Kyai's house, Mom," said the father.

I thought, 'cause there seems to be something wrong in me, I made people around me overwhelmed, troubled. I am a fucking carrier. That's right what my class mates say, I'm a weird kid, I'm an unlucky carrier.

In my heart said like that, out of when I shed tears.

"Sir, what else does Dedek think?" dad tried to get me to talk.

"Nothing, Dad," I answered trying to hide it from my father.

"Yes, already. Come on, eat it first, Dek." Bring dad.

I'll take my food. It turns out I still can't hide what I think of my father. During the meal, Dad tried not to discuss so I could finish my meal. When we finished eating, we gathered in front of the television.

"Well, am I an unlucky carrier, anyway?" I tried asking dad.

"No, Deck. Dedek is a gift given by the Almighty, Allah SWT for Father and Mother. So Dedek don't ever think Dedek's a fucking carrier, yeah!" said father.

I did not respond to father's words, I suddenly remembered my image.

"Oh yes, Dad. Somebody wants Dedek to show you, Dad," I said.

I went to my room to take pictures, and I immediately took them to my father.

"Well look at this!" I gave my picture book to Dad.

I started to see my pictures.

"What's with this picture, Dek?" ask dad.

"I dreamt of him twice, Dad. The first one when I fell asleep on the living room couch, he just smiled from a distance, well. The second one last night well, but this time he tried to get closer," I told my father.

"Keep why, Dek? Did Dedek ever see him?" ask dad.

"It seems like it ever was, Dad. She's Salma's mother's son Yeah .. I saw her at Miss Salma's house. But it's also not very clear, Dad" I replied.

"How about we just go there, Dad?" i said again.

"This grandpa is just there, later we go to Miss Salma's house even offended them," said the mother.

I looked towards my mother.

"Because that's also not necessarily what you see their son, Dek," said the mother again.

"After all, does Dedek know the way to go to Miss Salma's house?" ask dad.

"House, it's near my camp yesterday, Dad," I replied.

"In which area, Dek? Who knows if your father knows," asked the mother.

"It's just you, Deck." Dad stroked my head.

"Oh, yes, Dad. Saturday I took a rapot, Dad. What if I ask Mr. Andi?" my proposal.

"Just say yes, Dad. Let your son not think" said the mother trying to persuade the father.

"Yes-yes. I'll ask your teacher, Dek" replied the father.

I heard my father's words, and at once my heart was a little relieved. Late at night I went to sleep.

"Mom, temenin, huh? Dedek was afraid that this woman was here this afternoon again, ma'am." I'm taking Mom.

*********

Saturday also means it's time for my dad to take my rap. I took my picture book to school.

"Hi, Key. You brought that book again?" ask Dinar.

"Yes, Din. Let me tell Mr. Andi later," I replied.

"What's the same relationship, Mr Andi?" The dinar asked again.

"I'm going to Miss Salma's house, Din. I wonder about my dreams" I replied.

"Your determination, Key. If there's anything, how about?" Dinar.

"I'm the same as my father, Din. Later bring Mr. Kyai too," I replied.

I waited for my father outside of class and talked to my friends. I saw Dad out of class, with Mr. Andi.

"Keyla, can you come to the office?" ask Mr. Andi.

I saw my father telling me to nod. I didn't answer, I just nodded my head at the invitation of Mr. Andi. I headed to the office with my father's hand.

"You can see the picture, Key?" ask Mr. Andi.

I gave you my picture book. Mr. Andi started looking at my picture.

"Are you sure, Key. If it's one of the kids from the people over there?" ask Mr. Andi.

"Yes, Sir. I've seen her twice at Miss Salma's house, sir. He also saw his smile but it was from a distance, so it didn't look so clear, sir" I replied.

"Well, do you know the story about this kid?" ask Mr. Andi.

"Know, Sir. The mother of this child once told me about how the child died and the child was named Diana, sir," I explained.

I began to tell Mr. Andi, from the beginning until the tragic death of Diana. Suddenly in the middle of the story when I said about the accident, Mr. Andi cut my story.

"Awhile, Key. What happened four years ago?" mr. Andi said while remembering.

"Yes, Sir. Four years ago," I said.

"Accident, hit by a truck? Elementary Schoolgirl who was piggybacked by her teacher, was hit by a truck whose brakes were blong huh, Key? I know this accident," Mr. Andi said.

"Isn't he? You know, the accident?" I try to make sure.

"Yes, Key. The boy died at the scene and his teacher was taken to hospital. But until there his life was not helped either. You go on with the story, Key." Mr. Andi told me to tell him again.

I went back to telling you about Diana coming to her father too until four years ago, I also told her that camping time also saw her. I almost forgot, asking about the paper in Diana's pocket to Mr. Andi.

"Sir, sorry. Did you see the paper in Diana's pocket when she was in an accident?" my many.

Mr. Andi tried to remember.

"Yes, Key. You know, the paper does exist, but if it is not wrong the paper fell and flew when Diana's body wanted to be taken to the hospital" replied Mr. Andi.

"How about, if we go straight there, sir? Coincidentally I brought a car," my father asked.

"Good, Sir. We just go there," replied Mr. Andi assented.

I sat in the backseat, while Mr. Andi was next to my father. Before leaving, I called to ask my mother's permission. And it turns out mom wanted to come along because she was worried about me. The car drove to my house first, then went to Miss Salma's house.

____________

The journey far enough to make me fall asleep all the way.

"Dec, it's here. Let's get up." Mom woke me up.

I woke up, when my father stopped right in front of the mosque which was close to where I was camping at that time.

"Dad, it's Miss Salma's house." I pointed to Miss Salma's house.

"How's the car parked there, sir? The yard there is spacious," asked Mr. Andi.

Dad drove his car to the front of Miss Salma's house. The car stopped right in front of the house and there Ms. Salma went straight out from behind the door.

I got out of the car to call him.

"Assalamualaikum, Miss Salma," I called.

Miss Salma saw me embrace me.

"Waalaikum salam. What's up, son?" ask Salma's mother.

"Let's go in." Take Miss Salma to all of us.

I introduced my father, mother and teacher Pak Andi. Since I did not see Mr. Hendro Diana's father, here I see Ms. Salma confused by the arrival of us all.

"Mom Salma, Mr Hendro is still talking?" my many.

"Yes, Son. Is it necessary, Mother told the neighbors to call her?" ask Salma's mother.

"Yes, Mom. Sorry to bother you," I said.

"No trouble, really. A minute, I'll stay first." Salma's mother said goodbye, to go and ask her neighbor for help to call her husband.

We waited at Miss Salma's house. Suddenly I remembered that I forgot to call Mr. Kyai.
