Chapter 9: Lime, the fierce Engineer

The day was done with the task, all the crew relaxed and were busy with their respective affairs.

Green, Black and Red play cards in the cafeteria. Red has recovered so he can move as usual. Purple was with them. He apologized to Red so everything was fine. He was busy making a house of cards with the used cards of the three of them. Pink and Yellow sat at the next table, they were engrossed in chatting and joking. Orange in the kitchen as usual, thought of the new recipe he wanted to try.

While others work and relax. White in navigation, Brown in medbay, Cyan cleaning in the hallway, Lime in electrical, and Blue in his room.

But all that calmness changed. As Purple was about to lay the last two cards on top of her card house, someone appeared at the door and shocked them all.

"GREEN!!!" Call Lime in anger. Makes them all surprised. As a result, the card house made by Purple collapsed.

"My house of cards," said Purple lamenting the results of her now-devastated hard work.

"Why Lime? You surprised us all" Green asked, stroking his chest.

"Attractive? I'm even more surprised at what your pet does in electrical," Lime replied in a fit of rage.

"maintenance?" Green was puzzled then he looked at the floor, "Geez, where's Rugel?" Green panicked to realize his pet was gone.

"You just realized? Your pet has bitten a lot of wires in the electrical. I should have taken a break by now, but your pet has made me go the extra mile" lime complained.

Suddenly the lights in the room dimmed Green immediately ran to the electrical, followed by the others. Arriving at the electrical, Rugel looks to bite a blue cable. There were also some that he had bitten to break up.

"Rugel, stop!" Green orders a panic and attempts to release Rugel's bite.

Lime turned off the electrical circuit and they all turned on their flashlights. Green was still trying to get rid of Rugel, but it was hard. Rugel insisted on his bite.

"Did Rugel lack iron to the point of biting real iron?" Black asked confusedly.

"Your jokes aren't funny, Black," Lime commented

"I'm not joking with you," Black replied tightly. Makes Red giggle amused.

"Well I'm kidding him, '" Black continued proudly.

"As far as you go" Lime replied lazily.

Eventually, Green managed to remove Rugel's bite from the cable and clamped the nape of Rugel's neck like a cat.

"You're Rugel's bad boy, '" Green told Rugel as if the pet understood. He put Rugel on the floor.

But it seems Rugel did understand Green's words. He immediately put on a guilty and considerate face when his employer advised him.

Neither did Green, "Huft well, I forgive you. Next time don't repeat yes," said Green gave up and carried Rugel and took him away.

"Heh, don't play go. Replace those wires," Lime said angrily.

"Sorry Lime, but I don't know how to fix it. You're all right" Green said without turning around.

"But you're ah already," Lime finally gave up. He himself also did not believe if someone else fixed the cable.

Lime got into the electrical and started taking out her equipment. While others also return to ordinary activities even though it must be dark-eight.

"Yok Red, we go too," Black took a walk first.

Red was about to leave the place. But just one step, someone called out to him.

"Red," Red turned his head and saw Cyan standing not far from him.

"Why?"

"I want you to help me get these things into the crew's room" Cyan said as he approached.

"Oh you're still here apparently," Lime came out of the electrical and stood near Red, "Help me change those wires," Lime said.

"Hey I'm the first one so Red has to come with me" Cyan protested.

"Huh? I didn't know you were there. After all, Red was here from now on, so who did he get. Isn't that so Red?" Tanya Lime asked for an opinion from Red. Actually, Lime never argued with others, but if she was in angry mode even Cyan himself dared to be challenged.

"Err sorry but I," Red did not dare to continue his sentence as the two of them directly stared at him.

"Who are you, huh? Dare to fight me, "Cyan is getting upset.

"uh? I'm not afraid of you. You're just a janitor," Lime added to Cyan's annoyance.

Suddenly they simultaneously held Red's hand. Cyan on the left hand and Lime on the right.

"He should come with me," the two of them said in a sinister tone.

"What the hell, of course Red has to come with me" said Black, who appeared and held Red's shoulders from behind.

The two monsters then looked at Black with a horrifying look. Red could feel Black's hand trembling. But the vibration is gone. Black closed his eyes, sighed then he opened his eyes.

"You think you can do it?" Black asked in a tone that was no less sinister. They're getting heated up.

"God help me," Red's inner fear.

Now Red is like a woman who is contested by 3 men. But this one is 3 monsters.

"You stop!" Red shouted then let go of the three of them and slightly moved away.

"That's it. First I helped Cyan carry those things, it shouldn't be long. After that, I helped Lime. When it's over, I'll come with you Black. Hows it? Good idea, right?" Red Proposal. He had to separate them before something worse happened.

They stared at Red. Red was surprised, almost throwing the flashlight he was holding. But not long after, their eyes changed.

Black sighed, "All right I give in," he said as he walked away, "But don't wear it for long," he said again and disappeared into the darkness.

"beginning? Am I the stuff?" Inner Red was upset.

"I wait in the electrical," Lime also relented. He's back in the electrical.

"Let's get to work" Cyan asked.

It turned out that Cyan asked Red for help to help him carry the 5 big boxes. At first Red was astonished, thinking that Cyan should be able to carry the boxes himself. But it turned out that the box was heavier than he expected. They were even bored just by carrying a box.

The two of them were immediately covered on the floor, but only one box.

"It's heavy. Huh huh, what's it all about?" Red asked while panting.

"Important items for our planes and our food. It should have been packed by the second day we were here. But it seemed that the Captain had forgotten," Cyan replied and stood up, "He's old, "but Red could hear him clearly.

If not wrong, White is already 30 more. Red found out about it from Black. But because White albino so it is not clear that he is old.

"Normally who moves these things?" Red asked again and stood up.

"Lime and Green" Cyan answered and walked first.

"Lime's right. I'm just a janitor, "cyan's mind and they continue their work.

Finally all the boxes were moved. Red rushes to the electrical, meeting Lime. Lime is seen sitting waiting for Red while staring at the broken cables that have been released.

"I'm here, Lime. What am I supposed to do?" Ask Red when he just got to electrical.

"I want you to hold this cable while I change it. My hands are only two, so it's very difficult to make sure the cable stays in position" explained Lime and then gave a new cable to Red.

Lime gave instructions for Red to attach the cable to the hole the power source will be channeled. While Red was gluing her, Lime started doing her thing. It turned out that it was enough to make Red's hand achy, but fortunately not many cables are broken so there is no need to linger there.

After they finished, Red sat down to rest his already achy hands. Now he understood why Lime was always angry when something was bothering him to work. Because in addition to making sore hands, this work also drains the mind. Red itself until the headache just because to make sure the position of the cable does not move. They also only use flashlights.

If noticed, it looks like Rugel has bitten the cable before. This is evident from White and Brown who did not come to check which means they already know the core of the problem. Except for Blue in his room. I don't know what that guy did, maybe he turned off his room lights so didn't know the lights outside were off as well.

"Done," Lime said after relaxing her equipment.

"Thank you Red. If it wasn't for you helping me, I wouldn't have finished it by now," Lime said, and they both stood up.

"Together," Red replied with a smile.

Lime was silent for a moment. He looked at Red's face until the one being stared at was confused.

"Why?"

"Nothing," Lime answered and turned on the electric circuit.

The lights are back on. They both came out of the electrical and then split up in storage. Red to communication and Lime to cafeteria.

"Now I understand why Cyan relied so heavily on that person," Inner Lime.

The next day, after doing the task. Red chatted with White on navigation. He asked his captain a lot of things. He even told me about the incident when the lights went out. White who heard it just laughed.

"It turns out you also dared to separate the three monsters" White praised.

"Ah it's nothing," said Red shyly. He was not usually praised like that.

"But I'm serious. I myself would not even dare to break up if the three of them had already argued. Seeing Mira HQ's side choosing them, shows that this is not a playful mission," explained White.

"Have all the Crewmates here met before?"

"Yes, but this is the first time they've worked together. Previously they were on different crews" White replied, focusing on the front.

"Captain, I want to report," said Lime who appeared from behind the door.

"Please" White replied, and he and Red turned around.

"Look, my tablet got a malfunction signal from one of the walls of the plane. Damage to the outside wall. I'm going to fix it. Is it no problem?" Ask Lime for approval.

"You can just fix it," White looked forward and then turned around again, "In a moment we'll pass through the outer space current zone. You can bounce far away if you're reckless" White replied.

"Hm so yes, but not if left alone it will be more dangerous. These space currents could have carried asteroids that could have caused even greater damage. Wasn't Shield himself also unable to protect her," Lime said giving an opinion.

White sighed. He finally gave up on Lime's decision, "You can leave but there has to be one person to help you."

"If it's for that one, I'll take Red, '" Lime replied.

Red and White were surprised, "Are you sure? Can you trust Red?" White asked hesitantly considering Red was a new person.

"It sounds dubious. But, if Cyan alone can trust him why can't I? He also helped me in electrical, after all" explained Lime.

"Huft well, but be careful. We'll be passing through the outer space in 1 hour. I hope you don't endanger the new Crewmate" White said, then refocused on the wheel.

Lime nodded then she and Red went to the airlock (a small door where to get in and out of space. Usually in Among us animation, this airlock is used to remove the Impostor.)

Lime put up her astronaut gear and tied a rope around her waist.

"If the damage isn't too great, I can finish it before 1 hour. But hopefully not. By the way your job here is to hold this rope so as not to break if I get hit by that current. I know it's a rope, but the one called rope can definitely break. So I trust you," explained Lime. Red nodded.

He stood by the open airlock door. There is a kind of protector that makes the contents of the plane not sucked out.

"If I've given you a code, you just pull me in" Lime said again and walked out.

Lime drifted into space, but she quickly clung to the wall of the plane. White had already reduced the speed of the plane, so Lime could move freely. After holding on, Lime got on the plane and walked towards the damage. Arriving there, Lime could only sigh in disappointment.

The damage was quite large. It took me over an hour to fix it. Lime turned on the communication device that was in her ear.

"Hey Red, this is bad enough. The damage was quite large and it took over an hour to repair it. Get ready there, I'll tell the Captain that he gave you the code," Lime said, severing her communications with Red and connecting her to White.

Once connected, Lime tells the truth.

"Alright, I'll give him the code when the zone is near. Do it as fast as you can" White said, then they cut off communication.

Lime took out her equipment and started working. It turned out to be very difficult, considering he also had to race against time. If there was Red, it wouldn't be long. But he's unlikely to jeopardize the safety of the new Crewmate.

"Come on, Lime, you can do it, "inner Lime.

It didn't take long, Lime managed to shrink the damage. But it's not done and the problem begins.

White sent the code to sign the zone was close to Lime and Red. Red started to prepare. While Lime increasingly accelerate his work and turn on the adhesive in his shoes so as not to get carried away with the current.

Sure enough, not long after that a huge wave like a current appeared from the front of the plane and moved as if it was about to take their plane. Red tightened his grip on the rope, Lime getting stronger holding on to the plane. One hand held her hand and the other continued her work. White raised the plane to full speed, but the plane continued to move slowly.

Suddenly some asteroid fragments appear and hit Lime, making him thrown from the plane. But the rope around his waist held him. Red was almost drawn out, but he quickly managed to hold it in. His palm began to erode because of the rope, but Red did not care about it.

Lime approached back to the plane and continued her work. He doesn't want to give up just like that.

"Done," said Lime happily and then gave the code to Red to pull him in.

Red who got the code, immediately moved back while pulling the rope. But the unwanted thing happened, the rope broke and moved quickly out. Red chased after her and tried to grab her. But the rope was far from his reach, so Red was completely desperate.

But as the rope was about to come out, someone appeared and grabbed hold of the rope and pulled it. Red was wide at once relieved.

"Black?" Red really didn't expect his friend to come.

Not only Black, Green also came and helped Black pull the rope. Red did not stay silent, he also helped. Lime was finally pulled in. They closed the airlock door and White spurred even more speed. Eventually the Skeld plane made it through the zone.

After they finished, the four of them rested in the cafeteria. Cyan joined them as well. Red's hands were bandaged.they sat down while breathing a sigh of relief.

"I didn't expect I would actually do it," Lime said in disbelief as well as pride in herself.

"How did you know we were there?" Red asked confused because the only one who knew it was him, Lime and White.

"I told them just in case" replied White who had just appeared and joined in.

"Oh thank you very much" said Red happily.

"Thank you Captain and you two" Lime said.

Then Lime gets closer to Red and embraces him to upset Black and Cyan, "It turns out you're really trustworthy. Next time work with me again, okay?" He said as he brought his face closer to Red.

Embraced Red feels uneasy and afraid that Lime suddenly kisses him because their faces are really close now.

"Woi what are you doing? Red can only cooperate with me, "cyan protested and stood up.

"What did you say? Obviously Red is my friend, so he can only be with me" Black continued, not to lose.

"Start again" complained Green and held them captive.

Red restrains Cyan, White restrains Black, and Green holds Lime. Purple and Yellow who happened to pass by noticed them.

"The basis is strange," Purple said while Yellow just laughed amusedly.
