Chapter 16: Analysis

They finally arrived at The Skeld 385. The female Crewmates welcomed their return. Red and Black were taken to Medbay.

"Good work Orange," White praised.

Orange smiled shyly, "Thank you, Captain."

"I thought I was going to die earlier" Blue said.

White told them to disperse. Tomorrow they will discuss the thing they just experienced. They can't do it now because two victims and witnesses are sick.

The next day, they both got better. But Red couldn't come along because the electric shock caused Red's body to become weak. Only Black will testify.

They all gathered in the cafeteria. The atmosphere at the time was really tense. It was because it was only this first time that they faced such a situation.

"We're going to talk about what happened yesterday. William, the Captain of The Skeld 301, is declared the killer of his crew" White said.

"No, it's not him."

"No, it's not him."

Black and Green looked at each other as they realized their similar sentences. White and the rest of the crew were confused.

"Why isn't he? Aren't we all looking at him trying to pull Red into The Skeld 301 that's about to explode?" Lime Protest.

Black asks Green to testify first.

"Me and Blue found Captain William's body on Medbay wrapped in a body bag. So I think he must have died before the crew," Green explained to all of them.

"Well, how about yourself, Black? Your arm is bleeding, you must have been attacked, right?" Ask White.

"We were both attacked. But before that, we found this tape" Black replied as he handed the tablet to White.

They played a video of the tablet. Their reaction was more or less the same as Black and Red's reaction when they found the video, shocked and confused. Yellow and Pink to the creeps.

"He wasn't lying" Orange commented after the video was turned off.

"No, no" Green replied.

"What kind of creature attacked you? I just saw a big tentacle holding your plane back from leaving" asked Pink.

"I don't know what kind of creature he is. But for sure, he's not human and he's got a mouth on his stomach" Black replied.

"Mouth?!" All Crewmate's confused. Yellow and several other crew members instantly saw each other's bellies.

"Yes, mouth is on his stomach. There were even pointy teeth in his mouth. His tongue can also be used as a weapon" Black replied again casually.

Lime gulped, "I think that's the reason why the bodies of the crew we found, the body is not intact."

"Yes us too" Blue replied.

"But Fred didn't die that way. There was a hole in his head that seemed to be due to the creature's tongue attack. Hah, considering that Red was attacked by the creature makes me grateful that he was not eaten," said Black.

"That must be terrible" Purple commented.

Green just nodded. But suddenly he remembered something.

"Oh yes Black. If it's not wrong to get back on the plane, you're carrying a white box. Where's the box?" Ask Green.

Black patted his eel, "Oh yes I forgot, I'll take the box for a moment" Black said and went to his room.

Moments later, Black returns with a white box in his right hand. Because his left arm was bandaged. He gave the box to White. White looked at the box and opened it.

It's the same thing Red saw. Some artifacts, skulls, crystals and some cylindrical tubes were frozen. Inside the box was also a hologram tablet containing information of the findings. They all cheered in excitement because their mission had succeeded.

Brown took the hologram tablet and opened it. He looked through all the information until he found something strange.

"There's no data on the object inside the cylinder tube" Brown said.

White took the thing and noticed it. The inside was covered in a fog of freezing effect, "I myself don't know what things were inside either. But you just take it all to medbay. Scientists at Mira HQ must know what it is."

Brown nodded and took the object to Medbay. White ends the meeting, while Black goes to Medbay to visit Red.

"Hey Red, how are you?" Black asked when he arrived at Medbay.

"I've been feeling better. But my body still feels weak" Red replied. Then Black sat down on the bedside chair.

"What about the meeting?" Ask Red.

"Walked well. I've told you everything we've been through" Black replied and played the tip of Red's blanket.

Black told me everything he knew at the meeting. While Red was just listening. He actually listened to all of Black's words.

"Hey Black, can you tell me what happened when I passed out yesterday?" Pinta Red's.

Black was confused but ended up telling it as well. Red's expression looked like he was thinking about something.

"Don't you think there's anything weird?" Red asked for an opinion.

Black was confused, "Surpring how?"

"When you were attacked by those tentacles, didn't you get close to that person through the cracks? Couldn't it be that the tentacles were moving shut as you said before. But the tentacles are still moving straight against you" Red explained.

Black suddenly felt that he was starting to catch Red's conversation. But he still wanted to test his friend first.

"Can you give me a more detailed explanation?" Pinta Black's.

"Look, the man and his tentacles are like trees and twigs. A tree needs a tree to bear fruit. So do those tentacles that need that guy to attack you. But he couldn't move anywhere, just straight as the person would. But for those 3 big tentacles, he can move to avoid the Orange shot, which means he's a living creature" Red explained.

"The tentacle broke in the middle, right? Means the part that wrapped around our plane should still be there right? Did you see him?" Ask Red tubi-tubi.

Black was silent because he remembered something. His eyes were empty and he stood up.

"I'll be back" he answered and left.

Red only sighed then looked the other way while holding his chest.

"**P**this feeling does not want to be lost," his mind is restless.

Meanwhile in the crew's room...

Cyan was sweeping the floor in the crew's room. But his activities stopped when he saw Black who was boarding the fuselage like he was looking for something.

"What are you doing there, Black?" Asked Cyan astonished.

Black did not reply, but he directly descended and approached Cyan.

"Hey Cyan, you cleaned up here yesterday, didn't you? Did you see anything on the plane wall?" Black asked back.

"I don't see anything, what are you looking for?" Ask Cyan again.

Black sighed. A worried look was engraved on his face, "Nothing," he replied and left Cyan.

"*A*neh," Cyan's mind then returned to his activities.

Meanwhile, on one of the vents, Lime looks to be repairing the damage in the vent. He really focused on his work until he finally realized there was something strange.

Lime felt like she was being watched. It made him uneasy until he finally raised his face. He was shocked when he saw the blob-like object was some distance away from his position.

He remembered it wasn't there before. Moreover, the distance that far makes Lime can not be sure what the object is. But he sure never saw anything like that.

Suddenly the blob moved quickly towards Lime. The shocked Lime reflexively crawled away from the blob. He further accelerated his movements, but the blob was also getting closer.

Lime was already indifferent to her sick elbow from crawling quickly. His breathing also grew heavier because he was not breathing well. Remembering her being away from the vent cover frightened him.

The blob accelerated his movements and managed to reach Lime's feet. The surprised Lime immediately stood up and it turned out that her head hit the vent cover open. The conscious Lime immediately came out and closed the vent.

Lime sat on the floor. Breath snuffling. His eyes were still staring at the vent, afraid that it might come out.

"Lime."

"YAHHH!" Lime screamed in fear and then sucked back.

But it turns out that the one who called him was Cyan. He's holding a garbage bag. She was confused as to why Lime looked so scared.

Lime was relieved. He tried to calm his beating heart. Cyan squatted beside him.

"You why?" Ask Cyan.

Lime adjusted her breathing before telling her, "I-I saw a strange object inside the vent and she chased after me," Lime explained stammering.

Cyan said nothing. He stared at the vent and then intended to open it.

"Don't! Later he jumps out, "let Lime get scared.

Cyan's movement stopped. He stood up and left, he came back again with a duster. He stood up again in front of the vent.

"Your toolbox is left behind, right? Where did you leave him?" Ask Cyan.

"In that direction," Lime replied while pointing from which direction she had come earlier.

"I'll be back" said Cyan, opening the vent and entering it.

Lime was shocked and panicked, "Cyan, what are you doing? Come back!" The screech.

But there was no answer and Cyan also did not appear from inside the vent. Lime stood up and paced. He was confused what to do. Does he have to catch up with Cyan? But he's still too scared.

It's been a while since Cyan was on the vent and didn't show up. Lime was worried that it would do something to Cyan.

Suddenly Cyan appeared from inside the vent and then came out holding Lime's toolbox. Lime who saw it appeared felt happy and relieved.

"This is yours" Cyan said as he gave the box away. Lime accepted it.

"I didn't see anything on the vent" Cyan said again.

Lime was surprised, "You really didn't see it?"

"No" replied Cyan.

They both fell silent. Cyan then suggested that Lime report the incident to White because he thought it was something that should be taken seriously.
