Chapter 53: Welcome to Polus

It's been a year since the Crewmates crossed space on a crew plane. During that time they also try their best to save enough supplies until they arrive at Polus.

Black attempted to contact Mira HQ, but was unsuccessful because there was no signal. He sighed, now they could do nothing but be patient until arriving at Polus.

"Huft, this is very difficult" Black muttered.

The other Crewmate is asleep. Black and Lime are holding the plane. Lime was actually very sleepy, but she tried hard not to sleep.

Black approached her, "You go to sleep! Let me control this plane."

"It's okay. I can still last longer" Lime replied.

"Sleep! We agreed to one person a week alternating driving. It's been a week, so it's my turn now" Black insisted.

Lime was silent and thought. He forgot it was already a week. He rubbed his black eye bags from not sleeping for a week. His head was heavy too.

Only the two of them can drive so they are the more frequent mainstay. This is also because they are an old crew.

"Alright then," Lime accepted Black's words and stood up.

Black immediately sat down in Lime's place. He holds the steering wheel of a plane that has been hot for a long time in the hands of Lime.

"By the way, did you manage to contact Mira HQ?" Lime asked while holding on to the wall so as not to fall because her head felt dizzy.

"No. There's no signal. Actually I know there must be a signal here, but it's not as sophisticated as The Skeld's computer in finding the signal" Black replied with a slight complaint.

Lime patted her shoulder, "It's okay. Excitement" he said, lying on a chair.

Black looked at Lime who was already fast asleep from exhaustion. Then he refocused forward. Not long after, he remembered something terrible.

"YAHHHHH!!!" Black's screech woke up all the Crewmates.

"Why Black?" Red asked who stood up immediately followed Blue.

Black silently turned his head with an innocent face, "I'm afraid" he said with a grin.

"Yaaahhh," Red was disappointed to hear Black's statement.

Blue sat down and Lime slept again after waking up to Black's scream. They didn't sleep after that, except for Lime. Red is approaching Black.

"You have a plan what exactly woke us up?" Ask Red.

"There's no plan, I'm just bored. Need a chatter buddy" Black replied.

"just that? Disturb people's rest only," Blue commented cynically.

"But this means for me who won't sleep for a week. Let's see Lime's eyes, until they're so black for not sleeping. If you could ride this plane, I'd love you to feel what we both feel" Black replied.

"You're so outrageous, Blue. If the two of them are not there, we will definitely not reach Polus and die of fuel and food" Yellow said as he nudged Blue on the shoulder.

"Yes yes, sorry then," Blue replied with a pawky lip.

"Then I'll be with you" said Red and sat down beside Black.

Red began to ask a lot of things that they could make as a topic. Black would answer and start chiming in with a little joke. Yellow and Pink also participated in their chat so that the plane is now no longer quiet.

Blue and Brown watched them. Lime is still sleeping. He was completely exhausted, even the chatter of the four of them did not bother him at all.

After a week, Black saw a small dot in the distance. He sped up the speed of the plane and finally saw a purple planet with a layer of snow white on it like a cake.

Black's tired eyes shone back when they saw their destination.

"Everybody up! We've arrived" exclaimed Black awakening the Crewmates.

The Crewmate awoke to Black's cry. Some of them immediately looked at the window when they found out they had arrived.

"Slices like the ones in the photo" Blue continued.

Black flew close to Polus and looked at the buildings on the planet. He was looking for a place to land.

Lime stood beside him, "That! Looks like the place is perfect for parking the plane. It's not too close to the buildings either" Lime said, pointing out the window.

Black looked in the direction Lime pointed to, "It seems like the place was made specifically for plane parking. All right I'm there," he said, then flew low.

The plane slowly landed on Polus. The plane doors opened and they were greeted by a stretch of white snow and bone-chilling cold temperatures.

"It's a good thing I brought warm clothes," Red said while wearing it.

The Crewmates put on their warm clothes and got off the plane. The place was dark, but they were quite helped by the starlight in the sky.

Black turned on the flashlight, "It was dark. It feels like no one lives here."

"I agree with you, Black. Let's find some electrical in this place," Lime asked.

Black nodded then looked at the crew, "We should pair up male and female. Red and Pink, you guys are ahead. Brown and Blue, you go left. Lime and Yellow, you go right."

"How are you?" Ask Red.

"I'm going to check out the two small buildings that are in front of it, so you two check out that big building. I think that's where the cafeteria is" Black replied.

They nodded and then split. Black walks with Red and Pink and splits. He entered the first small building. Inside the building was a large wooden shelf, tubes and boxes.

"It looks like storage," Black muttered and then highlighted his flashlight in all directions.

After that, he came out and moved to a building that had a small satellite. From the satellite he could guess that it was a communication. He immediately entered the building.

Inside there is a small round table, 1 cabinet cabinet, 1 table that has 2 computers on it, and buttons attached to the corner of the room that seem to be connected to the outside satellite.

Black whistled, "May as well," his comment then went inside. But he stopped in front of the computer when he saw something on the floor.

Meanwhile, in the position of Lime and Yellow, they managed to find electrical. Yellow highlighted his flashlight in the direction fixed by Lime.

"Done," said Lime, then turned on the electric circuit.

Instantly the place was bright. Everyone looked up at the lights that were on.

"Good work" praised Brown with a small smile.

While Blue was stunned to see a very large room and equipment such as test tubes, spiritus burners, and much more on the table.

"It's a lab" Blue said, turning off his flashlight, followed by Brown.

Red and Pink found the cafeteria. They found three rooms in the building. There are cafeteria, office, and admin.

They all explored the place and went back to the front of the plane to report anything they found.
