Chapter 63: Guardian Angel

"Coral, prepare to attack!" Gray's orders.

The man nodded then went to the weapons. The woman returned to Medbay. He sat down on the chair then started aiming at Riot.

Meanwhile, Riot who saw the movement of The Skeld immediately moved towards them. Coral shot Riot a few times, but he did not react at all with that shot and continued to move towards them.

The crew in control immediately stepped aside so that their plane would not be devoured by Riot.

"He's very immune" Coral reported.

Gray and the man thought hard. Riot was still trying to eat them, so the crew kept moving the plane.

"It looks like we need a decoy" Gray said.

Meanwhile in Polus, the three Crewmates were still busy dealing with tentacles and Impostor attacks. Pink sat on the roof while watching them.

When they were busy, large tentacles attacked Black from behind. Black did not realize it. But it was known by Red who directly cut the tentacles.

But it turned out to be a trap. One small tentacle wrapped around Red's legs and pulled him away from his friends.

"Blaa!!!" Red's exclaim made Black and Lime surprised.

Black ran towards Red who was being dragged quickly away from them. But suddenly a large-sized Impostor appeared that blocked Black.

"Keep out of my presence!" Black then raised his gun to shoot the Impostor.

But not a single bullet came out. Black repeatedly pulled the trigger, but still no bullets came out.

"I'm out of bullets?" Hisses. The Impostor in front of him opened his mouth.

"Revelation, Black!" Lime yelled at Black so he wouldn't get hit by the tongue attack.

"Reedd!!!" Exclaim Black.

Red is pulled and thrown into the air by the tentacles. Suddenly a huge Impostor appeared and swallowed Red and went back into the ground.

Black and Lime froze. But not long after that Black started shouting furiously and attacked the tentacles blindly.

"Black!" Call Lime when you see Black advancing alone.

Lime knew if Black had been like that, it would be very easy for the enemy to kill him. He immediately caught up with Black while continuing to cut off the tentacles.

"Black! Relax!" Lime Seru.

"Quiet down?! How could I possibly calm down to see them kill Red?!" Black asked furiously.

"I understand how you feel, Black. But you don't be like this! You'll be so easily killed by them!" Answer Lime.

"I don't care! I'll take them all out!" Black exclaimed without looking at Lime.

Lime finally ran out of patience, "BLACK!!! YOU-YOU-YOU-

JLB!

Blood splashed onto Black's back making him come to a realization. The tentacles stopped attacking and retreated slowly. Black turned his head slowly and his body froze with what he saw.

A large tentacle pierced through Lime's stomach. Blood flowed from his mouth and wounds. Lime was surprised to receive such a sudden attack.

The tentacles retreated, causing Lime's body to collapse into a pile of snow. Lime's blood made the white snow turn red. Black choked, he immediately approached Lime and turned his body.

"Lime, I'm sorry. Please survive!" Black then moved to remove his jacket to cover Lime's wound.

But her movements came to a halt when she saw Lime shake her head. Lime smiled. Then he began to talk in a stammer.

"Akh.irnya ka.kau men.dengar.kan me. Ugh. Ja.ngan bi.ar.kan emotions mengu. You're a..kan sa..ngat you..dah in...bun.uh."

Lime began to breathe irregularly. But it wasn't long and he no longer moved. Black held his breath and he stuck his ear on Lime's chest to hear her heartbeat. Her body froze when not listening to Lime's heartbeat.

Pink who sat on the roof noticed a change in Black's body attitude. He immediately laughed out loud, mocking Black who could not protect his friends.

"Haha...! Look, your friend died because of your own actions! You are a burden to them. Kill Impostor? A burden like yours will never be able to do it" Pink sneered.

Black did not react with Pink's taunts. He was still sitting upright in his place while still staring at Lime's lifeless face.

"Well, it looks like this is the end. Goodbye, Black," Pink said as she waved.

The smoke slowly disappeared. But Pink was surprised when she didn't see Black there. There were only Lime Bodies and cracks due to the attack of those tentacles.

Pink stood up and turned to her right and left, looking for Black. But didn't find it.

"I'm here!"

Pink looked back and was shocked when she saw Black already standing before her. A punch landed on his face, making Pink fall down.

Black looked at Pink who stood up and looked back at her angrily.

"It's a good thing you're not the real Pink, that way I can hit you as I please" Black said with a satisfied smile.

Pink grinned, "May as well."

He took out his tentacles then jumped up and attacked Black. Black dodged Pink's attack and attacked back with a knife.

Meanwhile, Brown and Rugel exit O2. He was looking for his three friends.

"Rugel, find them!" Brown's orders.

"Your woof!" Rugel answered and ran, followed by Brown.

They arrived to the third place the Crewmate had been before. Brown was shocked when he saw the lifeless Lime. But his attention is distracted when he hears the sound of a fight between Pink and Black.

"Where's Red?" Ask Brown.

Rugel did not answer. He himself was also confused where that person was.

Meanwhile inside the ground, more precisely inside the stomach of the Impostor that swallowed Red. Red was drowning in the liquid that was in Impostor's stomach.

He tried to swim up, but his body felt heavy so he was finally exhausted and sank to the bottom. Increasingly, Red began to feel a very familiar feeling.

Suddenly his headache appeared again and this time it hurt more than the previous one. Red groaned in pain while tightly gripping his head.

One by one foreign memories sprung up in his head. All those memories he had never seen, but slowly he began to remember. Who he is and where he comes from. Until finally his last memory appears, where it looks a woman who has a face similar to him. She was holding him and tears were pouring down the woman's cheeks.

Red flinched and his body twitched. Suddenly, tentacles sticking out from his back.

Back to the surface. Black was defeated by Pink because he was outnumbered. His knife slipped from his grasp and he was pushed back.

But Black didn't want to give up. He ran towards Pink to launch his attack.

Pink just smiles while pointing a gun at Black's face. His index finger pulled the trigger and a bullet moved quickly towards Black. But suddenly...

TING!!! PRANGS!!!

Pink surprised. Earlier he saw a blue circle surrounding Black and the circle cracked and broke when the bullet hit the shield.

Time starts moving slowly. A white-colored feather appeared and floated behind Black. Pink's eyeballs grew when she saw the familiar figure now flying behind Black with her white wings expanding and a glowing Halo above her head.

"White?" Hisses.

The protector broke and time went as it was. Black smacked Pink's face forward with all his might, sending Pink flung a few feet up to the end of the building close to the lava pool.

Not yet had he stood back up, Black was already standing nearby then raised Pink's body up and directly threw it into the lava pool.

Pink's body slowly sank into it and an inscription appeared again just like before.

...was an Impostor...
