Chapter 5: Explanation (new year 2022 species)

Red was still waiting for Black who was still trying to find the right sentence to start telling stories.

"So this is how I'm going to start with the current condition of the earth" Black said and drank Nevi's mineral water. Nevi did not comment on any sign that she was serious at the time.

"A few years ago scientists began to tire of the current condition of the earth. Natural disasters continue to occur and global warming continues to increase. Until the idea emerged that humans needed a new planet for habitation. Once the idea came along and technology got more sophisticated. They begin to race to find a new planet and one of 'them' is Mira HQ," Black stops and rests his chin in his hand. It seems that he is confused.

"It's a drink first" Nevi said as she gave her bottle and Black quickly sipped it to the ground.

"Mira HQ built a spacecraft called The Skeld. The number has now reached thousands with their respective serial numbers. Some are exploring space, some are here being repaired or are waiting for use. But what I'm going to talk about this time is The Skeld 301, the plane that went missing 1 month ago," Black stopped again and picked up Red's drink and spent it and went back to telling stories.

"The crew of The Skeld 301 found a planet that had criteria suitable for habitation and they spent years there exploring that planet. If they find anything new, they'll report here. But they found a lot of strange species that could not be examined so they decided to return to Mira HQ because the facilities here are more complete."

"Black where you're whining..."

A plastic bottle flew up and hit the head of someone who had just appeared in the cafeteria.

"Don't be noisy, the stuff you're looking for is in my drawer" Black said. He was the one who threw the bottle.

"Yes well," the man replied, rubbing his head and turning, "You are usually the one who is always noisy" the man grumbled as he walked away.

"Huft, I'll keep going. Where did I get to?" Black's tanya made Nevi pat the jidat.

"The facilities here are more complete" replied Red.

"Well yes. When they were on their way here they never got here. It's over," said Black closing the story.

"Wait to give a detailed explanation on the ending. I don't understand" Red protested

"We lost contact with them. We couldn't reach them and they couldn't reach us. Our only last contact was the S.O.S code they sent before it went missing and that was enough to make us believe something bad happened. Now you get it?" Black was quick and a little tired.

"Hey you waited a long time Red?" Ask Mr. Junaidi who showed up at the door.

"Not really," replied Red.

"Let's go, the boss is waiting," asked Junaidi.

"Oh well," Red stood up and approached Junaidi, "Thank you both for accompanying me" Red said before leaving.

"It's not a problem" Nevi replied.

"Hey Red!" Call Black. Red looked at Black, "If you're done come to my office. In front of the locker room, near the medbay and near the glass aisle. I want to talk to you a lot" Black said.

"I'll come" said Red and left with Junaidi.

They walked through many hallways, rooms and people. Until finally they reach a wider place and there is not too crowded. They approached 2 people who were sitting in the front seat of one of the rooms with the words "Superior room". One was dressed as a guard and the other was not clearly visible but it seemed like he was the one who was moved here with him. As it got closer, everything finally became clear.

"Wait, Blue? Why are you here?" Ask Red to the guy.

"I'm the one who should be asking, why are you here? How could a lousy person like you be moved here?" Blue asked back which irritated Red.

"Have not just anyone!"

"Do you know each other?" Ask the guard.

"It looks like there's a fire here" said Mr. Junaidi.

"I don't know him" Red replied.

"Moreover me," Blue replied not to lose either.

They entered a very large room. The room was filled with bookshelves, and a small table. There are 3 seats near the table.

"*I*ni is more like a public library than an office," Red's inner self was amazed.

On one of the chairs, there was a well-dressed man sitting while staring at their arrival. When they got close, the man stood up.

"You two can go" said the man. Junaidi and his friend were very happy

"See you Red," said Mr. Junaidi and walked out of the room.

"Please sit down" Red and Blue sat down.

The man opened the drawer and pulled out some files, "Do you know why you're here?" Ask to open the conversation.

"No," they answered together and looked at each other with annoyed faces.

"Don't lie to Red" the man said with a smile on Red.

"Eh?" Red was confused because it turned out that the person knew he was lying, "What do you mean? I'm not lying" Red said.

"You're a bad liar" said the man again.

"Obviously, he's terrible at lying" Blue sneered and retorted Red's sharp gaze.

"Lying is not a good thing" Red replied fiercely.

"Just calm down, I won't punish the person who told you. Although I don't really know who it is" said the man to make Red relieved.

"Before explaining, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Leonardo, you can call me Leon sir. I'm not the one who takes care of Mira HQ, but I'm the one who takes care of the space exploration center. So you two are my responsibility" explained Mr. Leon who was in charge of nodding by Red and Blue.

Mr. Leon began to tell about the missing plane until the idea to form a special team to look for it. The story is more or less the same as Black's story, only there are a few new ones known to Red. One of them is the fact that the one who proposed the two of them is Mr. Junaidi.

Blue looked surprised while Red was mediocre. Knowing that Black and Nevi will not be punished puts Red at ease. It's just that what makes him wonder is how Mr. Leon can know his lies.

"Now you understand, right?" Ask Leon after he finishes the story. They both nodded.

"So how? Did you agree to take the job of finding The Skeld 301?"

"Yes" replied Red.

"Again" replied Blue.

"All right, thank you very much. Please help" said Leon and shook hands with them.

They both came out of the room and went to their guards.
