Chapter 33: SUS

Red lay on his bed while contemplating the incident earlier. Though he really hoped that the examination could produce something important, but in fact it was thwarted by Impostor.

In addition, he was also still thinking about Gregory's words about his stomach pain. Red will indeed feel the pain of his stomach if too scared. But what Red felt was a little different, he felt more threatened than afraid.

As Red was deep in thought, suddenly his doorbell rang. Red stood up and peered outside. Black was standing at the door.

Red opens the door, "What's up?"

"You're busy? I want to talk to you" Black replied.

"I'm not busy. Come on in, let's talk inside" Red asked.

Black goes into Red's room. Red locked the door and sat down on the side of the bed.

Black looked out the window, "Gee Red, this scene is so beautiful. I really wish there was a scene like this in my room" Black said.

"Where is your room?"Ask Red.

"Lumayan is far from here and closed. I think I could be stressed if I was in that room constantly. That's why I'd rather do everything in my office, except take a shower" Black explained.

"Then why don't you just move rooms?" Red's advice then lay down.

"I've had that room since I first came here. At that time I was innocent and would accept whatever they ordered or gave me" Black replied.

Red nodded, "Oh yeah, you just said you wanted to talk about something, what do you want to talk about?"

Black turned his head, "This is about Impostor, I want to invite you to discuss again."

Red got up and sat down, while Black approached Red and sat down next to him. He took out his tablet which contained the information he had managed to obtain.

"What do you get?" Ask Red.

"Look, do you remember our conversation that the Impostor was from Polus and the missing Crewmates? I got a new fact from that, "Black replied and started fiddling with the tablet.

Red approached, a sign that he was interested in Black's explanation. While Black passionately swiped his finger onto the tablet screen. After finding what he was looking for, Black showed his tablet screen to the face of Red.

"I found out that Polus has many small holes on its surface. I think those little holes have the same function as vent, where the Impostor uses them for their path of movement."

Red noticed the surface photos of the planet Polus. The planet is purple with a thick stretch of snow on it, snowflakes are also captured from the photo. But the talk this time is that little hole.

"Why are you so interested in that hole?"

"Because in my opinion apart from being a path of movement, this hole is also heading into their nest."

Red sneered at his temple, "Can you get straight to the point?"

Black chuckled, "Alright."

He took out a photo of the hole again, but this one was larger than the previous holes. And a picture of a man dressed as a scientist.

"I found the data about this hole. So a few years ago, a Professor named Murry disappeared in the lab. He said he wanted to research something in the lab, but moments later he disappeared when someone came to pick him up. The disappearance of Professor Murry also coincided with the appearance of this hole which happened to be located in the laboratory."

"They suspected that Professor was in the hole, so they sent one person to get into the hole. The man went into the hole with a safety rope that tied his body. When it was a bit deep, they suddenly heard the voice of the man's cry followed by a loud bang on the rope. They pulled the rope quickly, but all they got was a broken rope at the end."

Red rubbed his chin, "But why don't they just take down the detection devices? The technology of the time should have been sophisticated."

"They've tried it, but the tools lose connection when they're deep. Most likely someone messed up before it got to the bottom. But they also learned from the rough data they got that the temperature inside the hole was very hot because it was side by side with the lava pool."

"It should not be much different from other small holes, maybe this is the reason why Impostor is able to linger in a stuffy vent" said Red beropini.

"That's what I deduce from this, too" Black replied.

Red nodded, but he suddenly recalled something, "Wait a minute, lava pool? Isn't it snow-filled polus in the picture, why is there lava?"

"Oh yeah, I haven't said. Polus is a unique planet. The heavy snow that falls creates cold temperatures, and lava pools that give off hot temperatures. They're side by side but it's still hot if you're standing near that pool" Black replied.

"But how do people live there?"

"There is a more dominant temperature is the cold temperature, we just wear warm clothes. Besides they've planted trees there and they're growing."

"I don't think you know much either. Where'd you find all that data?"

"Secret," Black replied as he placed his index finger on his lips.

Red rolled his eyeballs up, "What other data do you currently have on Impostor?"

"I don't have any more data on Impostor, that's all I've managed to get. But I've got someone who I think is very likely the mastermind of the faulty scan."

Red leaned against his body, "Who?"

Black was silent for a moment. Actually he was a bit hesitant to say it, but he ended up telling Red as well.

"Lime, I'm suspicious of Lime" Black replied.

Red's surprised, "Lime? Why her?"

"From us, only Lime understands such things. After all, he's already quite memorized by the vent line at Mira HQ, so I think he's the most likely mastermind" explained Black.

Red nodded in understanding. They agreed not to tell the others about their subject matter that day.

The next day, the Crewmates returned to work as usual. They could not continue the examination because it turned out that the scan tool was sabotaged and difficult to repair.

Red gets the task of cleaning the vents at Greenhouse, so he goes to the storage first to pick up the equipment.

Greenhouse is a room made of thick glass. So one can see the clouds above, beside or below. In the Greenhouse there are various plants. One of them is a unique plant that is grown in a cylindrical tube. The plant is located in front of the entrance.

Meanwhile, Cyan is busy looking around for Red's whereabouts. Actually he wanted to talk to Red about something, but he forgot when they were meeting earlier.

"May I forget," the Cyan grumbled in his heart.

Cyan checked the admin desk and found one person at the Greenhouse. He goes to the Greenhouse and sees Red's feet behind a tube containing plants in the Greenhouse.

Cyan walked behind the tube. He wanted to call Red, but what he saw managed to make him speechless.

Red was busy cleaning the vent, but that position really made Cyan inexhaustible. Red was riding with his upper body part on the vent. One of his hands was on the vent, while the other was holding his body from falling. Red's ass is facing down to Cyan.

Cyan shook his head, "What are you doing, Red?"

Red surprised. His hand slipped and his body went into the vent. Right after his body entered, the vent cover fell down and hit Red's back.

"Ouch!" Pekik Red's.

Cyan was shocked and opened the vent cover and pulled Red out.

"You okay?" Ask Cyan.

Red rubbed his stomach, "I'm fine, you surprised me."

Cyan frowned, "I'm more surprised to see you like that. Good thing I came, if someone else? Finish your history."

"What do you mean?" Red asked confusedly.

"It's nothing. By the way, what are you doing?"

"I'm cleaning the vent."

"Cleaning vent? What are you wearing?"

"Wear this," Red showed the washcloth in his hand.

Cyan patted his eel, "Why not wear a mop?"

"There are no more mops in storage."

"Try you ask the other Janitors again, there should be something they're done with by now" Cyan suggested.

"Oh, thanks for the advice" Red said, walking away.

But Cyan held Red's hand so he was stuck there.

"Why?"

"I want to say something" Cyan replied and let go of his grip.

Red looked at Cyan, waiting for something that Cyan wanted to talk about. But after waiting for a while, Cyan remained silent and lowered his head as if he was dodging Red's gaze.

"Cyan, you're still here, right?" Red asked waving his hand in front of Cyan's face.

Cyan held Red's hand again, "I'm still here" he replied.

After thinking for a while, Cyan sighed then raised his head and looked deeply into Red's Ruby eyes.

"If anything happens to me, I want you to save me" Cyan said seriously.

"Huh? Whatchu mean?" Red is getting confused.

"Nothing," Cyan let go of Red's hand and rubbed his stomach in pain, "I'm going to the toilet."

Cyan ran out of the Greenhouse. Moments after Cyan came out, Red smelled a foul smell.

"Eih, you slob!" Red screeched then ran out as well to avoid the stench all at once to pick up the mopper.
