Ares: Never Grow Up

Ares: Never Grow Up
S2 - Intervene or not?

"Looks like you're really good people."

POV: Ares

"Well?!" Emotionally ignited Riot immediately walked towards the child named Rafleo and began to grip the collar of his shirt. Riot cornered Rafleo until the blond boy's back pressed against the wall.

Bruk!

"Don't make me even more angry. We're on good terms here, and you threw us right outside the building?" Riot gritting his teeth held back his annoyance, and Rafleo who was being gripped his collar was still silent and staring at Riot.

"Hey! Riot! Calm yourself!" Vani yells at Riot when she sees him starting to spiral out of control. I also immediately intervened and helped to calm Riot who somehow seemed to be very angry about something.

"Hey that's it, aren't I okay? Besides, I'm not that weak to death if I just fall from the building" I said, distancing Riot from Rafleo. Riot still looked angry, his eyes were still squinting sharply and his breathing still sounded heavy. While patting Riot on the shoulder, I glanced towards the pensive Safa.

"What's wrong? Safa?" ask her. The girl flinched then turned to look at me with a worried look.

"It looks like there's some kids coming over. Of the number ... probably about 30 children. They're not fast, if we leave soon, maybe we'll be safe." Safa spoke in a serious tone. I nodded in understanding and was about to speak to Riot, but I had no time to speak, the boy named Endo said first.

"I'll take you away. Take it easy .. No one understands this city as well as I do." Endo said while receiving treatment from Ken.

But ... This is very strange. Why hasn't Ken finished treating him? I know the healing speed of Ken's powers, and Ken should be able to heal paralysis in just a few minutes.

More than 15 minutes have passed, is something wrong?

"... Strange, I .. can't treat it." Ken stopped channeling his power and looked at Endo's feet in confusion. Endo, aware that his legs could not be healed, smiled and gently rubbed Ken's hair.

"It's okay. You've been trying. Better now we go first, we continue our conversation later." Endo looked back at us all, and suddenly ...

Fuut!

we moved to another room. This room is still quite bright with the light from the candle flame. I looked back to look at Riot, but he shook his head, meaning that this was indeed not Riot's strength.

"Well, do you want to sit down first? I'm sure you're also aware that this town is very creepy." Endo said with a smile. After Endo said that, a door next to Vani suddenly opened.

Brak!

"Well, comein. You can wait there." Endo then disappears, either he teleports to where. Ken and I are still silent and looking at each other, either since when Rafleo is gone.

Throwin!

"Oh?" I stared at Vani who was gently touching my arm. I raised next to my brow as a sign that I was asking 'what is it?'.

"The Endo ..." Vani whispered to me, but the next sentence did not sound clear. I brought my face closer to her and asked while whispering as well, "What's ed?".

Puk.

Vani's hand held my face so as not to get closer to him, that second I also realized that my face was very close to Vani. "DARK!" Riot's loud voice startled us, spontaneously me and Vani immediately away.

"Vani, you're coming with me." Vani is dragged by Safa to another place.

I was still silent to see Vani who was getting away, then when she was no longer seen, my gaze now turned to Riot. "What's wrong?" ask me while looking up because of his position I was bending my legs.

"So this ... are you sure that we should trust them?" riot asked while massaging his temple. Riot then let go of his grasp and I also immediately stood up while cleaning the dust that was stuck on my feet.

"I don't believe them" I replied confidently. But Riot looked at me confused and in disbelief.

"In that case, why are you so relaxed and even obeying their will?" riot asked again with angry and disappointed eyes. I seem to understand why Riot like this, the events in the previous City, made it hard for trust to grow for strangers. Riot will be suspicious.

"Don't worry ..." I touched the tip of Riot's head while smiling broadly. "I am smart and strong." I could see that Riot's eyes were starting to become sad, he rubbed his eyes many times with his palms.

"Yes .. I know you're strong. I'm sorry, I should have trusted you more." Riot spoke in a sad tone but a smile rose on his face. I chuckled softly while embracing Riot's shoulder.

"Just let's go to the room. We need to know what Endo wants to talk about!" take me to Riot. After he nodded, I walked with Riot with my hand still holding his shoulder.

After we got to the door that was still open, we went in and found that Ken was sitting quietly looking at the window. "Yo, where are you guys from?" ask Ken to us. I let go of my embrace and started walking towards Ken.

"I'm talking about something important with Riot" I replied honestly. Ken nodded and looked back at the window. "Surely about that boy named Endo." Riot and I were shocked because Ken's guess was right.

"Do you know anything?" ask Riot.

"Hm .. no." Ken replied after thinking for a moment.

Tok tok!

"Can we come in?" Safa's voice made the three of us turn towards her.

"Yes, of course. Is your business done?" riot asked with a smile towards Safa. The girl nodded and brought Vani in. They were sitting in front of us, because here were 4 rectangular chairs arranged with a round table in the middle.

"Well, before they get there, there's something I want to ask you, Ares." Safa asked while leaning her back on the chair.

"What's that?" my many.

"You don't intend to get involved in this town thing, do you? Or have you decided to get involved?" Safa's question was so sharp, and because of this, Vani, Ken, even Riot came to see me. I was silent for a moment, I cannot say that this city is the worst city among the cities we pass through.

But ... for sure the condition is not much different from other cities as well.

The strong are in power.

"That's .. we decided after hearing Rafleo's story."

TBC.
