A quarrel?

"KEN! YOU'RE BAJ*NGAN!"

POV: Vani

I'm really mad at Ken right now, could he hit a girl?! If Elly wasn't standing in front of me earlier, I'd be the one hit! Has he lost his mind?!

"You're disgusting, Vani," said Ken in a cold and stern tone. I immediately glared at him, it felt like my jaw was hardened from holding back the anger.

"Ugh ...," Elly's groan awakened me from this control of anger. I immediately crouched down and helped Elly stand up once more. Now .. I know why Ares and Riot aren't with Ken. They must have known Ken's changed attitude.

"I'm disgusting? At least I'm not a nut who forgets his skin like someone" I said, glancing sharply at Ken. He looked even more angry at me, even he had already clenched his hands, preparing to punch me.

"Do you know what about me?!" snapped Ken at Vani.

"We know. Aren't you just busy with that little girl next to you? Until you forget your partner in one night?" asked Riot who suddenly joined in this quarrel. Ares looked at Ken with a look full of disappointment and anger.

While Riot may look calmer, but I'm sure he's feeling the way Ares feels too.

Then me? I can't even describe the pain in my heart with my mouth. Why did Ken turn out this way? What has made him change so far?

"Hahah! Nevermind! I'm lazy to meet you guys! Just go!" Ken immediately took the girl away from us, I looked at Ken in disbelief, he did not even turn his head towards us as he left.

"Vani, forget him. 9 days from now, we're leaving this city. Before that, you can have fun here first" Ares said, rubbing his eyes. Maybe I didn't hear his sobs, but his wet eyes couldn't lie to me.

"What's? You're leaving Ken?! Why are you that kind of a bitch?! We still have to take him!" I said I didn't accept the decision Ares made. I even shook Ares' shoulder, but he doesn't seem to change that decision.

Ares and Riot just smiled mischievously and walked away from us.

While walking away, Ares said, "Don't forget, 9 more days. We'll meet at the city park!" That was how he said while joking with Riot. Elly approached me, then patted me on the shoulder slowly.

"He .. was great. Is he strong?" ask Elly suddenly. I paused for a moment, trying to remember what happened to us all along.

"Yes. She's strong." I stared at Ares' back which was moving away.

He can make anything come true. He could defeat the giant with his small body. He could defeat hundreds of undead with just two tiny hands. He could also defeat natural disasters with his strength.

Maybe we were not aware, but to be honest ... Ares is the one who kept us going until now.
