Ares: Never Grow Up

Ares: Never Grow Up
Good bye, Dave!

POV: Ares

"Dave ... You really don't want to come with us?" Merida looked towards the boy with a sad look, it is the morning after yesterday. We decided to stay one day with Dave. Several times you tried to persuade him, but Dave remained firm in his stance.

"No, I'll take care of this place. Even so, I will always support you. Go, your journey is long." Dave threw something at me, thankfully I caught him. When I looked at that thing, it turned out to be the teddy bear I had previously given her.

"Why are you giving me this again?" many wonder. Dave smiled thinly. "I'm sure it's Alan's wish. That thing, will definitely protect you someday," said Dave. I grasped it tightly, then stuffed the tiny doll into my pocket.

"... Thank you, I'll bring you hope too, Dave." I smiled broadly, after which I made another car.

CRIING!

"Well, let's go all in!" I screamed a little while looking at my partner. Merlida is holding up a few small bags, while Ken and Vani appear to be arguing.

"We can't do it, Van! That's too risky!" ken said with an expression that started to get emotional. I walked up to them because it seemed that their debate was not over.

"But isn't that better?! If we take that path, then it will be faster for us to restore this world! And saved a lot of people!" vani said with a higher tone of voice. I immediately stood in the middle of the two of them, and somewhat gave them some distance.

"Wo wo wo! Relax, what's wrong? Why are you fighting?" I asked as I watched the two of them take turns. Vani looks more difficult to control emotions than Ken, Vani's body has gone up and down because of emotions, while Ken can still breathe normally but his eyes are getting sharper.

"I'll never agree, Vani. At the heart of your advice, you said that it's better for one person to die than many, right?

I would never approve of it. What you think is selfish, imagine the feelings of the person close to the person you sacrificed!

Comforting one person who is lost is as difficult as comforting a thousand who are lost" Ken said coldly. After that he turned around and headed straight for the car. I was a bit confused, so I just kept quiet and looked at Vani.

"... What's wrong? Van?" soft ask. Vani controls his emotions first, he stroked his chest many times and took a deep breath

"... I was just thinking. That it would be easier if we asked people with abilities like Alan, to sacrifice themselves to make the world return to normal.

But ... after I heard Ken's words, it turned out that my thinking was wrong .. I just thought that it would be better if this ended as soon as possible, but I didn't think about how people who loved them felt," vani said with a sad look. After that he went to approach Merlida to help lift things.

Which Vani says is true .. pity if they should be abandoned by their loved ones ...

So ... if the self-sacrificing person is someone no one loves .. doesn't that matter?

"Ares! Let's go!" The sound of Merlida's screams roused me from the daydream. I immediately ran to them and sat down on the front bench, next to Ken who was driving.

"We're leaving."

BRKRMMMM!

Ken started stepping on the accelerator, and we eventually left this location. From the rearview mirror, I saw Dave who was still standing with a smile from the side of the road, staring at us until finally invisible again.

"By the way our next destination ... Oner town?" I asked while staring at the rows of trees and buildings that were rather weathered.

"Right, because it's a neighboring town," Ken replied without taking his eyes off the road.

I looked towards the front, noticing Merlida's spiked tendrils getting rid of the vehicle in the middle of the road. Fortunately there is Merlida, if there is no him, maybe we have to walk because there is no place for a car road.

Since the appearance of red gas, many uninhabited cars have been left in the middle of the road. Merlida tendrils are the ones who get rid of it so that this car can run without obstacles.

"Merlida .. haven't you used enough of your powers? Pay attention to the limit, do not exceed the chast, you can be exposed to infic later," my memory while turning to look at him. Merlida nodded with a smile.

"Don't worry, there's plenty left. Moving the rose tendrils does not take much chast," said Merlida casually. I just nodded and did not continue to ask anymore because Merlida is also originally an adult, she can definitely take care of herself.

"Even so, immediately say if you've used your 3/4 chast, we'll stop to rest" Ken chimed in.

"Ready captain!" merlida replied with pleasure. After that the journey continues until late afternoon, maybe now is 3 pm. We stopped driving because Ken was tired, and the Merlida chast was also a quarter. I made a tent before I left Dave, I put it in the trunk of the car. So now I just want to build it.

One for me and Ken, and one for Vani and Merlida. Vani and Ken still don't seem to get along, they're still fighting over it. Well, even so, I also disagree with Vani.

Because the life of every human being is precious, it does not depend on the number of people who love them or not. Vani also seems to have realized that he was wrong, but he still has the prestige to apologize.

"Whoa! Finally been!" I breathed a sigh of relief after setting up two medium-sized tents. After that my eyes returned to see Ken and Vani who were still not talking to each other.

"... Can't go on like this" I murmured slowly. I looked around, looking for ideas. My eyes stopped on a sack big enough beside my tent. I immediately picked up the sack and I gave it to Vani and Ken.

"Huh? What's this for?" ken asked confusedly.

"Find the dry wood, we have to make a fireplace! Go with Vani!" i'm firm. Vani and Ken seem reluctant to do so.

"Why not just you? When should I do it with women? It's heavy, loh" said Ken, with a clear feeling.

"Can't! Ares will help me to arrange things in the tent! I need one man to lift heavy things!" merlida suddenly said. I turned to her in surprise, and as we looked, she blinked her eyes at me.

It turns out that Merlida understood my plan.

"Tck, okay. Come on, Van." Ken stood up from his seat, then left immediately. Vani seems to be upset with me too, she gave me a sharp look before finally going to follow Ken's back.

Hope they get better soon.

"They'll be better soon. They were friends for a long time, right? It must be better soon," said Merlida reassured. I nodded quickly.

"Yes, definitely. Okay fine! He said I have something to help you with?! Where!" I immediately ran over to Merlida, and helped her to arrange the necessary items for the night's stay.

"For her dinner .. I brought some sardines from the minimarket around the parlour." Merlida took out many large canned sardines from inside the bag.

Shit, I deserve to lift heavy. It's all food.

"What do you want? The tuna? Salmon?" ask Merlida confused.

"Is there a pari?"

"Nobody, there's a whale."

We laughed together while waiting for Ken and Vani to return.
