POV: Ares
I was sitting daydreaming while looking at the stream. It's been 3 days since we defeated The Ants, one of Ron's research results. My eyes stared blankly at the calm river current, the dim sunlight and the wind that was blowing slowly, carrying a strange feeling in my heart.
"It feels like these 3 days are so calm, that I am swept away in this calmness" I murmured softly.
"AREST! HOW MANY FISH HAVE YOU GOT?" Ken's screams immediately awakened me from the reverie.
Right ... I came here to fish, why am I daydreaming?
"Not Ken! Sorry I was daydreaming!" I said to Ken with a little scream. Ken was quite far away from me, we both fished together to eat. Actually, since the day Riot entered the team, we agreed to take turns in foraging. I went with Ken today, while tomorrow is the time for Vani and Riot to go for food.
"Basic! But, what are you daydreaming about?" ask Ken again. I glanced at Ken then smiled knotingly.
"It's okay, I'm just amazed we've been able to survive until now!" say lie. Ken sighed and then refocused on fishing. I immediately took the fishing line beside me and put the worm I was looking for in the hook as bait.
Clup!
Now Ken and I are both silent, because if we keep talking, there are definitely no fish approaching. Because I kept watching my cat hook, I became sleepy and almost fell asleep several times. The feeling of seeing the water in the flowing river was very strange and pleasant. It feels like addiction and sleepiness.
Deg.
Kailku's moving!
I quickly pulled my pancake and started lifting it.
The splash!
"Yes ... fish that almost died again .. why since yesterday many fish that have had a hollow stomach?" askaku. Like his stomach has been bitten by another animal, or maybe there is a parasite?
"Is it broken again?" ask Ken. I nodded, although this fish was hollow, but he was still alive. I immediately put it in a container large enough to cook later.
"Yesterday Vani and Riot also got fish like this, I don't know if there are any predators in this river?" say Ken again. I also thought. It was as if all the fish in this river had been broken and in their bodies were many holes.
"Should we move fishing?" I asked Ken. He seemed to think for a moment.
"Right as well, it looks like we should move places to fish!" Ken immediately stood up and took care of his fishing gear. I also took care of my equipment and brought one fish that I managed to catch earlier.
"Oh, where did you put the car?" ask Ken. I fell silent, we did indeed set off in the car I created two days ago. Because all the cars left in the world there are only sizes for adults.
But I'm sure I parked it between those two banyan trees?! Why is there no now?!
"So I parked there ... Why isn't there now?" I asked Ken with a confused expression. Ken immediately put the fishing gear on and patted me on the shoulder.
"You wait here, I'll look for him. Maybe you forgot to lock the brakes, so the car kept going down the ground" Ken said.
Hand brake? Whatisit? This is the reason I don't want to learn cars and prefer to ride public transportation. Even if I had to, I would rather walk.
But Ken insisted that I learn to ride in the car, he said so I could change to drive. Indeed, kasian also Ken because all this time only he drove the car.
Ken had walked far enough, until my eyes could no longer see his back because it was blocked by trees. I put my fishing gear next to Ken's.
Ahh, sitting under the lush trees while enjoying the breeze. Honestly, the park in the city of Oner is one of the beautiful parks in my opinion. It feels clean and comfortable.
A SPLASH!
BYUR!
I was still staring at the fish intently, until my eyes saw a red slime stuck to the wound of the fish.
"Huh? What'sthis?" my spoken. Out of curiosity, I dipped my hand in the water, about to touch the red mucus.
Is this fish blood that has been frozen?
The srut!
Suddenly the red mucus seemed to respond to my hand. I quickly took my hand out of the water. My heart beat faster from being shocked by this situation.
Wh-what? Just now the slime was moving into my hands, right?
Is that slime alive?
My heart is still racing fast. In the next second, I realized that the fish was dead. He was lying helplessly at the bottom of the container. Instead, the mucus looks more aggressive and envelops the carcass of the fish quickly.
Tinn!
I looked around, and Ken found his car. He looked at me confusedly and then immediately got out of the car.
"What's wrong?" tanyakanya. I swallowed my mouth nervously. My eyes glanced at the fish.
"Take a touch" I told Ken. He immediately walked up to the fish container and then noticed it for a few seconds.
"Is this dead?" ask Ken. I nodded, Ken so looked a little hesitant to touch her. But in the end he put his hand in the water.
BYUR!
"WHAT?! WHY IS THE RED MOVING?!" Ken was shocked to fall. His face clearly looked frightened and there was an anxious expression there.
"That's right! What is this, actually?" ask again. Ken immediately stood up and cleaned the dirt in his pants. He ran to the car and pulled out a sack.
"We'd better close it up. We'll take it to Vani and Riot. It's possible that Riot knows something" Ken said, wrapping the container in a sack. I stood up and helped tie his sack and the water in it didn't leak.
Kruyck.
"I ... am hungry ...," I said, covering my face in shame.
Why can't my stomach cooperate?!
Ken chuckled when he saw my behavior, he stroked my head slowly while cleaning the fishing line.
"We go somewhere else first to fish, about this fish we will talk about later!" ken said with a big smile. I nodded and started to show my face. Ken had put all the fishing rods and fish containers in the trunk of the car.
"Let's go in!" ken then sat in the steering chair. I opened the door in the steering wheel seat, right next to Ken.
Along the way, Ken and I didn't talk. We just focus on our own thoughts.
And of course, the most disturbing thing to our mind.
...What is red mucus? ...
TBC.
DON'T FORGET THE LIKES, GUYS! SORRY FOR THE NEW UPDATE!
