Ares: Never Grow Up

Ares: Never Grow Up
The Beginning of Ares' Plan! (3)

POV: Ken

FLASHBACK END

"Yap ... that's all I know, after that .. I went back home 2 days later, and the house was very quiet. The next day, Riot and Vani come together, and Ares comes on day 3 at night" Elly said, wiping the glass ball carefully.

Hearing Elly's words, it looks like Ares is doing something secretly ... but what?

"Oh! When we returned, the house was filled with grenades. It looks like Ares spent his entire chast for 2 days making all those grenades" Elly added with a widened eyeball.

"Well, I get it. .. Then, I wonder what the ball really does?" I asked as I stared at the crystal ball which seemed to be guarded very carefully. Elly smiled brightly as she glanced at me.

"This ball, is the strategy of Ares to restore the motivation of the captured population!" Elly raised the crystal ball high, after which she directly lowered her hand again and ran outside of this mini house.

"Ken! Help me gather all the residents!" elly muttered before flying away from me.

"What?"

At Elly's behest, I began to visit each house and ask them to gather in the meadow. Most of them just kept quiet and looked at me with a look of despair, but I should not give up on persuading them.

I use my powers to treat every wounded resident. Starting from fractures, burns, and some other trivial injuries. My goal is to treat them only once, to have them trust me at least once.

The rest, I leave it to Elly.

"I've brought the residents. Then ... What are you going to do?" I asked while looking at the hordes of residents who came closer. Elly closed her eyes, letting the wind blow her face and hair.

"This is the most important part. Get ready!" muttered Elly while looking at me.

Srek srek.

The residents began to stand in front of us, their expressions looking curious, between confused and also frightened. I stared at Elly, how shocked I was when I saw her breaking the crystal ball.

"Hey! What are you doing."

PRANGS!

WHOA!

A projector emerged from the crystal ball that had been broken. It's like a movie about war. But if you look at it more clearly .. It was a war between Ares' forces against Boni's puppets.

The army, consisting of the rest of the citizens that Vani had persuaded, fought unhesitatingly along with the beasts that Safa had brought.

All the residents who saw the projector broadcast, stared at the screen as if glued. Their eyes could not escape the onslaught of bombs and the enormity of the battle.

"You saw it, didn't you? The citizens who were outside were risking their lives, taking back what their rights were. Didn't you guys feel anything after seeing this broadcast?" asked Elly in a loud voice. The residents fell silent, they lowered their heads and stared at this expanse of fake grassland.

"I can't believe you didn't feel anything after seeing this. Don't you also want your rights back? Don't you also want to be recognized as human beings again?!" ask Elly again in a loud voice.

"ARE YOU GOING TO BE SILENT, LETTING YOURSELF BE A TOY DOLL FROM THAT DAMN WOMAN?!" shouted Elly in an angry tone.

"WE DON'T WANT TO EITHER!" shouted the boy whose arm I had just healed, it seemed like he was the child with the broken arm earlier.

"THEN FIGHT! DON'T JUST SHUT UP AND WAIT FOR FATE LIKE A SCARECROW!" elly snapped while looking at the child's face. The boy began to lower his face again, his body slightly shook and slowly.

"We ... hiks ... also want to help! But .. hiks ... with a body like this ... what can we do?!" ask the boy with his sobs. Elly smiled with satisfaction at the boy's reply, she started to step forward and stroked the boy's hair.

"Can! I have a plan! Do you want to listen?" ask Elly with enthusiasm. The residents looked at each other, then they huddled to gather towards Elly.

"So this is ..."

POV: Ares

WHUS!

"Woah ..he's really not kidding huh," I muttered as I tried to stand up. Right now I'm fighting Civilian, the most troublesome windbender. I can't even approach it less than 5 meters.

Clamps.

"AH!" I stared at my ankles, the color of her skin had already turned bluish purple.

Don't-don't break?!

I screamed in my heart as I continued to stare at the wound on my leg. It hurts so much to even just step.

But I can't make a cure now, I have to save chast as much as I can.

WHUS!

I immediately looked towards the front, just turning my head, my face immediately greeted by a straight tornado that hit my face.

JDAGH!

Brucks.

I was thrown against the wall of the house. Even the wall I hit was destroyed in one hit.

It's not that I have no way of dealing with Civilian, but .. she's the woman Ken likes. I can't possibly hurt the woman he likes, imagining Ken hurting Vani for revenge.

Whuses.

"Did you give up?" Civilian came flying, his legs floated and his body was enveloped in a thin wind. I threw away the blood stored in my mouth, then looked into his eyes.

"If I give up .. then Ken won't survive" I said with a calm smile.

WHONG!

"URKHS!" Civilian directs the air to press against my neck, making it difficult for me to breathe. This is tantamount to strangling someone without the use of hands.

"What do you mean?! What are you doing, Ken?!" civilian asked with anger. I closed my eyes for a moment, trying not to throw air in my lungs.

"Ta ... its ... course ... on Thea!" I said with my breath almost gone.

Bruk!

Civilian instantly let go of his wind-chirpation, he looked at me with a look of disbelief.

"You ... know Thea's power?" ask Civilian.

"I know the strength of all of you, only you .. who do not know our abilities," I said with a grin.

WHUS!

Civilian immediately flew away, leaving me with the rubble of a collapsed building. It hurts so much to stand up, maybe my spine cracked.

"Boss! Are you okay?!"

I stared at the two girls who came with the cake basket. They ran small towards me, and began to feed me with a dry chocolate cake.

Ngii.

Slowly my body healed, even I was now able to stand normally.

"Thank you, Ene and Eni." I smiled faintly at the two twin girls in front of me.

"What about the preparation?" I stared at the black smoke in the air.

"We're ready to move whenever your orders are issued."

TBC.

Don't forget the likes, guys!
