Ashgard: Ambition and Purpose

Ashgard: Ambition and Purpose
Destroyed Residence, Cost #152

With puzzled strides, Carlos walked down the Federal aisle, accompanied by two tactical apparatus running parallel to him. His face was quite confused, keeping the question of who was visiting to meet him. Yet he was very calm, even covering up his confused expression.

Arriving at the meeting area, Carlos was immediately greeted by a figure named Garwig who stood there, waiting for his arrival. The meeting area or meeting place is a spacious room, and filled with a lot of tables and chairs, while every corner of the room is guarded by many apparatus. During the day, the room was seen to be a quiet visitor who was usually the family of the inmates.

"What's wrong? Did I make trouble, so bring in someone as important as you?" spontaneously Carlos asked, walked, and until now a meter with Garwig.

Garwig smiled, shrugged his shoulders, and replied, "you don't make trouble! I just came here to pick you up, Carlos."

Pick up? Waitaminute! Carlos was immediately stunned to hear what the casual black-clothed man said. He did not really catch or understand what Garwig meant.

"I'm not kidding, Carlos." Garwig nodded her head slightly, and then asked, "come here, come with me!" her question, her gaze was serious, indicated that she was not joking about what she said.

Garwig had already stepped up, approached the exit, and stood there. As for Carlos, he still seemed to be puzzled by Garwig's intentions and goals saying that to him. The man remained silent in the middle of the room, before he followed Garwig.

Slowly and still with a flustered step. Carlos passed through several layered entrances from the Federal. He managed to go through a lot of guarding done by the authorities, along with Garwig of course.

"What are you planning, Garwig? Why are you suddenly aiming to free myself?" ask Carlos, sharp. The glance really harbors suspicion of the actions carried out by Garwig. He walked after the man in the Federal parking lot.

When he was outside the Federal, he had spent a year and more a few months locked up inside that horrible place. The fresh air really felt, so peaceful, so calm. Carlos could now feel how peaceful and fresh the air of freedom was outside the Federal. Undeniably, he quite missed the fresh air like that.

Garwig's step stopped right next to a black SUV parked in the yard. He turned to Carlos, who was behind him, answering the questions and suspicions of the men, "I didn't plan anything, Carlos. I just ran the trust that was given to me" he replied, unlocking the car, and then opening the door.

"Well, I'll explain a little as I know!" ask the man to Carlos, get on the steering wheel. Carlos turned a little, opened the side door, and sat in the passenger seat right next to Garwig.

The car engine was on, the wheels were turning in rhythm with Garwig stepping on the gas pedal. The car he was driving came out of the Federal area, and disappeared at the turn of the road leading towards the freeway.

Tranquility and silence were created between the two men, in the middle of a journey that would either take Carlos to where. The man turned to Garwig, with an expression that seemed to ask "so when are you going to explain it?".

Realizing that gaze, while driving his car that drove on the freeway. Traffic is quite slow, not too crowded with cars passing by.

"I came to get you, Carlos. I did it based on a warrant that was made and written directly by someone who might be of value to you."

Garwig took out a piece of paper that turned out to be the letter in question. He took the letter he had stored on the dashboard of the car, and gave it to Carlos, letting the man read the contents of the letter.

"According to the agreement that the three of us made in the form of a contract, before all the chaos a few days ago. I just want to keep his promise, and make his request come true." Garwig spoke, without giving up her focus on driving, continuing to look towards the road ahead.

Carlos managed to be stunned by the contents of the letter he read. The letter contained a plea for her parole, written in handwriting, more precisely in pencil. Who knows whose writing style it belongs to.

"Berlin's? Why is he so ambitious to free myself?" murmured Carlos, putting the letter right on his lap.

"No, he's not so ambitious about it, Carlos. Understand more deeply, he is not ambitious, but he seems to want to give you a chance." Garwig immediately refuted Carlos' question about the ambitions of Berlin.

Hearing what was said by Garwig, made Carlos slightly remember what he had said when answering a question from Prawira some time ago. At that time Prawira asked him, "Carlos, if you can be freed from your prison sentence. What do you want to do and will do?". And at that moment he gave an answer by saying, "if there's a chance for that, I want to fix the trust and the relationship that I've broken before.".

"How can ...?" carlos murmured, his gaze fixed, his expression still showing that he was thinking, digesting what was really going on.

Seeing that expression, Garwig only smiled silently. He did not expect to see the facial expression of the figure of Carlos Gates Matrix. Expression saves confusion, but also seems to store a sense of joy in disbelief.

"You can get answers and detailed explanations of the questions in your mind to Berlin, because only he has a good reason for deciding to free you, Carlos," Garwig said.

Today's weather is quite sunny, although it's a little cloudy. At noon today, Berlin visited a land in the area of one of the elite housing that has a strategic position. The location is above one of the city hills, not too far from the city, and has a direct view towards urban buildings. Not only that, the atmosphere in the location he chose was very cool, there was even a source of water that is the river just below the hillside.

Berlin, along with his colleague Kimmy, met a man who appeared to be the owner of a large enough land on the hill. The environment around the housing is also still very beautiful, and also very comfortable to live in. So quiet, and will not be disturbed by noisy traffic and pollution.

After finishing chatting a little with a man in black who seemed to be a representative of the housing administration. Berlin was accompanied by Kimmy immediately went away from the closed residential area.

"Boss, isn't the land and houses sold in this housing more expensive than your first home?" kimmy asked, while driving a car that belonged to Berlin, out of the residential area.

"Yes, it has a point. But the cost of renovating the first house if total can buy land here, and build a house from scratch. So I decided to move on, rather than fix it," replied Berlin, straightforwardly.

"What's worse, anyway? I'm so curious, sorry for my curiosity, boss!" cetus Kimmy, while focusing on driving, down the twists and turns of the city's rolling hills.

"I was also confused, I don't know who sent rockets into the living room of my house during the conflict" said Berlin, sighing, shaking his head in an unexpected sign.

"Seriously?! That's how?!" suhut Kimmy, had looked at him with both eyes wide in surprise.

"If you don't believe me, just stop by and look!" answer Berlin.

Quickly, Kimmy changed his course when he got to the crossroad to the middle of the city. Because of his curiosity, he drove his car to the old house owned by Berlin.

Arriving at the house, it turns out that what was said by Berlin was true in fact. The front of the house was completely destroyed like it was bombarded and attacked all out. Not only chunks of ruins of the building, but some lead from bullets that shot can still be found around the yard.

"It turns out to be this bad, yeah ...?" muttered Kimmy, stopped his car, got down and looked with an unexpected look. Accompanied by Berlin, he stepped through the shattered gate, walking in the middle of a completely chaotic courtyard.

"Because the location is very close to the City Hall," said Berlin, pointing towards the hills of the city at the top, and can be seen the white building from where it stands. "So the impact got here, and at first I didn't expect it to be this bad." Berlin continued to speak.

"It's good that you and Nadia are okay" Kimmy said.

Berlin smiled at Kimmy's concern, "thankfully," she said in response to what Kimmy said.

Conditions are completely destroyed and chaotic, maybe more destroyed and chaotic than the condition of the City Hall after the attack. Because almost eighty percent of the entire house, it can be ascertained only leaving debris, as well as some particles such as bullet lead and friends after the attack of Clone Nostra in the area of the City Hall very close.

"But, Berlin. Are the costs you have enough for everything? I mean ... You're quite a mess after the conflict with Clone Nostra, and maybe there's something I and my friends can help you with?" kimmy said as he walked back to the car.

Berlin smiled at his colleague's concern, "it's okay, don't worry ...! I've taken everything into account, and by selling many of the vehicle assets that I own, it will be enough to cover seventy percent" he replied, with a very calm attitude.

"That's it, don't worry! I'm just relaxed, so you should also be able to relax more!" berlin continued, inserting a walking stick, while re-entering the car with Kimmy who was ready to drive. The man in white shirt looked calm and relaxed, and was not depressed by circumstances.

Looking at Berlin's facial expression that seemed to be fine, Kimmy slightly sighed in relief before then saying, "if you need me and friends, then just say it! We will be ready to do anything to help!"

Berlin was made to smile by what Kimmy said, "thank you" she said.
