It was the same day, in the afternoon. Berlin and his wife went back to the hospital in the city. This time without Akira, the child was temporarily entrusted to Helena and Alana at the orphanage, as they both knew this would be a boring thing for the children.
With notes written and made by Helena, Berlin stepped slowly using his cane, entered the hospital accompanied by his wife of course. If without the records and information provided by Helena, Berlin may still be confused to prepare the files to be used for child adoption applications.
"Not complicated, huh? I think it's pretty good, anyway" muttered Berlin, sighing, a little offending what Helena had said earlier this afternoon.
Nadia who walked right beside him just smiled, even a few small laughs saw the expression of Berlin exactly like students who were faced with difficult problems of national exams.
"Spirit! You want to be a good dad, don't you?" cetus Nadia, smiled, and looked at the man with a very gentle look.
Berlin just sighed, returned that smile as well with his smile, and continued walking through the fairly deserted hospital hallway this afternoon.
...
Three hours later, the time showed five o'clock past thirty. Berlin along with Nadia stepped out of the hospital, heading to the parking lot with a slightly relieved expression. In his grasp, there are already three files containing information about health, which will be needed in making attachments for the adoption of children.
"It looks like it's late enough, how about we go on tomorrow?" nadia said, looking towards the watch attached to her wrist.
Berlin nodded in disdain, smiling, replying, "it seems like a good idea."
"We'll get Akira, go home, we'll have dinner together, okay?" sahut Nadia, arriving at the parked Berlin car. The woman then opened the car door for Berlin, before she boarded and sat in the steering wheel.
The journey to the orphanage is quite hampered, because the traffic back home from work is very crowded. While waiting for a long line of cars, Nadia had a glance toward the note given by Helena who was lying on the car dashboard.
"In column number five, do you have SKCK?" chirping Nadia, glanced at Berlin who was still seen busy checking back the files he had just received from the hospital.
Berlin stopped his activities with the files on his lap. He slowly turned his head, shortly after hearing the question, and stared with a seemingly innocent gaze as he replied, "how do you want to have SKCK, I'm a criminal?"
Hearing the answer that seemed to be thrown spontaneously, Nadia was made to laugh a little, especially when she saw that innocent expression, "basic, you are this ...!" he said, with intonation that actually sounds soft.
"Do you have any?" ask Berlin.
"Had, dong! I'm a good guy, a former cop, anyway!" sahut Nadia, with an attitude and intonation that seems to be boasting. But just after answering like that, the pregnant woman who was driving her car was giggling herself over what she had just said.
Berlin sighed, smiled, and casually said, "let me take care of it myself. I'll talk to Prawira for the letter."
Nadia immediately glanced at the cynical as she said, "ih, cheat! You're a family with a police officer, yes ...!?" he said his intonation now sounded low, but it sounded quite sharp in Berlin's ears.
Berlin only laughed innocently, and an innocent-looking expression was plastered again on his handsome face. Seeing this reaction, Nadia laughed, and ended with a smile that looked really sweet.

On a quiet night, a quiet atmosphere was again encountered by Carlos. He stepped into the back garden, recalling yesterday, where the park was very crowded and lively. But it was yesterday, and very different from today.
Carlos approached a bulkhead made of wood, and looked at the logs mounted as a shooting target in the distance of about fifteen to seventy meters, there were even the most distant ones a hundred meters away.
His memory instantly retreated back in time, when he held a gun or firearm for the first time. The first or first experience was introduced and taught by a figure who has an important role in his life, namely Prawira Gates Putra.
Thirteen years ago, when Carlos first turned ten. He was taken by Prawira to this shooting range, and taught him how to shoot and disable targets far away from him standing. And from then on, Carlos himself knew Prawira as his young teacher, because Prawira was two years younger than him in the present.
"You I'm looking for, it's here" said a man's voice coming from behind him. The figure of the man who had just crossed his head, was now completely real and was behind him.
"What's wrong? Did I make a mistake?" carlos said, asking, the intonation is very flat and cold. He turned around slowly, and faced directly with the figure of Prawira there.
Prawira smiled at the question, her gaze relaxed yet solemn. "I didn't come here because you made a mistake or anything like that, don't think of me as a BP teacher ...!" Prawira.
Carlos chuckled little hearing what Prawira said. He stepped up, passed Prawira, and came to a long wooden bench and asked, "then, what made you look for me?"
"Is it because I'm a parole prisoner, so you want to keep an eye on me? Take it easy, I don't mind if it's like that" continued Carlos, then sit back on the bench.
"Not so, I want to talk and question one thing to you" replied Prawira, now standing right on the edge of the bench.
"What's that?" carlos said he didn't seem to want to make small talk.
Prawira moved to sit next to Carlos, his gaze sharp, and very serious. The cold night weather made the atmosphere quite tense, as if it would receive a question that had the highest level of difficulty in the world.
"Carlos, don't you have any plans to find a job?" prawira asked, his tone sounded very calm.
"Are prisoners like me able to get a job?" sahut Carlos, without having to turn his head, even he asked shortly after Prawira asked.
Prawira sighed, raising her head, looking at the star-studded night sky. Good Prawira, what is questioned by Carlos actually has a point, but also not always true.
"Yes, you're right too, it's gonna be hard. But I believe one thing. We do not know one's luck, fate, and destiny. But I always believe, as long as the person is trying, surely he can achieve his goals and dreams" said Prawira.
Carlos looks relaxed, "about work, let me think for myself. Besides, I'm sure Berlin won't just take me off."
"In accordance with the contract agreement that was made between me and Berlin, I will wait and obey whatever decision, whatever ...!" carlos continued, looking unencumbered by what he just said, instead he looks happy for what he said.
"Well, but if you are in trouble and need help, do not hesitate to speak to me, or to others. We are family, and it is the obligation of every family member to help each other" said Prawira, smiling kindly.
