Berlin returned from the kitchen with Asep, with his hands carrying two glasses of mineral water, and placed the two glasses on the living room table before sitting directly opposite Carlos.
Carlos had a glance and looked at Asep who was standing behind the Berlin sofa, looking at him with a sharp gaze filled with vigilance.
"Berlin, is it alright for me to be here? I really do not want to create problems with you guys," said Carlos, he felt bad because his presence seemed undesirable.
Berlin leaned back on the long sofa he was sitting on, and then replied, "do I have to repeat my words again? I asked you to come, Carlos."
"Prawira or Garwig must have met you and talked about what job suits you, right?" berlin continued, heading directly to the core of his conversation.
Carlos nodded and replied, "yes, a few days ago, or rather last week."
"Then what did they tell you?" sahut Berlin, grabbed his glass and then drank his mineral water after asking.
"They said I should meet you, Berlin. I'm still confused as to why it should be, and what does it mean?" Carlos replied, with a sense of confusion mixed with curiosity that can be seen clearly from the look of his face.
Berlin laughed, even smiled. Putting his glass back on the glass table, he answered his brother's question and confusion, saying, "sorry to confuse you, because I have arranged all that."
Carlos looked at Berlin with an unexpected look and was quite surprised by the reply and apology, "you really played me, Berlin."
"Actually I didn't mean it, Carlos. I'm aiming for you to have some time after you've been freed from that horrible place." Berlin answered casually, straightforwardly, and so calmly as ever.
Berlin slightly bent his body forward, clenched his hands together, and stared intently at Carlos who was facing him. Looks like his words just now weren't finished. He continued by saying, "the time I give it must have a limit, and the limit is in this second .. the second when we face it directly."
"The thing I'm going to tell you is that I talked about it in six eyes together with Prawira and Garwig, and the three of us have managed to reach an agreement" Berlin continued.
Carlos looked quite tense, and very serious to hear and listen to all the talk from Berlin carefully.
"Yes .. although I still haven't talked and discussed with my colleagues, so I can be sure there will be a little debate," berlin turned his head slightly and glanced at Asep, who stood firmly behind his couch, before turning his eyes back to Carlos.
"What's that 'thing? What do you mean? And what do you really need from me?" carlos said, looking quite tense, but trying to calm down and relax.
Berlin sighed for a moment, and then leaned back casually on the long sofa before finally saying, "i have a role in our work, and I feel this role fits you perfectly, Carlos."
"Yes, you will be under my leadership, and do and do what I want" replied Berlin, straightforward and sharp as her current gaze that looked at Carlos's two irises of black eyes.
Carlos was immediately stunned and speechless to hear the words of Berlin who did not seem to be playing games, let alone the gaze of the man who managed to make himself not wrinkle. It seems that not only Carlos was surprised to hear it, but Asep who was standing right behind Berlin was also shocked when he heard it.
"Boss, is that right?!" asep whispered, not expecting that it was the decision Berlin made over Carlos.
But Berlin ignored Asep's questions and doubts. He looked at Carlos confused face and then said, "I can't take my eyes off you, Carlos. With you filling the role I'm going to entrust and secure you, I can get closer to you."
"Look, the role you're going to fill is an important role, and I'm entrusting you with that. Don't let me down, or you'll get the reward. Understood?" berlin continued, speaking with a cold attitude as usual, and impressed very firmly.
Carlos looked obedient and said, "alright," he replied, sighing and then continued to speak, "me. I won't let you down!" he said with a very formal attitude and intonation.
Berlin smiled faintly at his brother who seemed to have changed greatly compared to before, "in that case, prove your capabilities to me with the task I have given you!" he said, flat but firm.
"Before that, I want us to make a contract of employment first" Berlin continued.
