Ashgard: Ambition and Purpose

Ashgard: Ambition and Purpose
The kid? #24

Flashback: On

Two weeks ago.

"No! Akira doesn't want to!" the little girl screamed, whined, and cried in the corner of the room. It looks like Mother Helena and Alana are quite overwhelmed with that attitude. Today should be a very good and happy day for Akira, as he will soon get a new family that will take care of him. But Akira refused and whined unwillingly.

This is the second time Akira has done the same, and enough to overwhelm Helena's mother. Plus the two new parents Akira had already come and sat waiting for Akira in the living room. Because Akira behaved like that, Helena's mother had to speak as she was to Akira's parents-to-be.

Knowing this, Akira's new parents try to persuade and be gentle with the little girl. But still Akira refused and whined not to want to come with his new parents.

"No! Akira just wants to be with the parents Akira chose himself!" akira's screams become even more so as his new parents attempt to persuade him. Hearing and knowing Akira's attitude, Helena's mother and Akira's two new parents-to-be agree to cancel Akira's adoption.

Helena's mother told and told all that to Nadia while answering Nadia's previous question with a little sadness. Although she did not mind if Akira had to stay with her until adulthood. But he just could not bear when Akira had to lose his friends who slowly one by one already went with their new family each.

"Oh my goodness, to his side ...?" nadia also felt quite sad. His view cannot be separated from Akira who still looks fun playing with Berlin and other children there.

Helena's mother smiled faintly and said, "though that's so .. I've thought of her like I used to take care of my little Alana. So maybe ... I'll also be sad if Akira leaves."

"Mother, don't say that in front of Nadia! I ... embarrassed, know!" sahut Alana pursed her lips and narrowed her eyes to look at Mother Helena.

"Haha!" Nadia laughed at hearing and seeing that attitude, she recalled her childhood where she was very familiar with Alana. "Little Alana who likes to be spoiled, do not be shy dong," said Nadia glanced cynically while smiling thinly and satirizing Alana who sat beside her.

"Ih! Now I'm not spoiled, yes!" sahut Alana in an annoyed tone and turned her face away from Nadia who showed that she was upset. But Nadia just chuckled at him. Similarly, Helena's mother then smiled to see the two women who had once been her little girl.

"It's nice to see you two being so familiar like this again," said Helena's mother smiling happily at the two little girls who were very familiar and get along well with each other.

Nadia and Alana were immediately stopped from all their jokes. The two of them immediately looked at Mother Helena and then smiled simultaneously because they felt very happy to be nostalgic again.

At 16:00 p.m.

Slowly late afternoon without feeling. Berlin and Nadia also had to go home because of course too long a visit was also not good, and also had long enough they were there. They both say goodbye to going home.

"Thank you very much again" Helena told Berlin and Nadia, who was in the yard.

"We will be waiting for you to visit again" said Alana standing beside Helena's mother.

"Of course!" nadia smiled broadly.

After that Alana immediately returned to the orphanage while bringing the children to rest and eat. While Helena's mother was still there, and suddenly Akira ran from inside the parlour to Berlin and Nadia.

"Sister! You guys want to go home?" the little girl approached Berlin and Nadia with sadness.

The little girl's gaze was quite teary-eyed looking at Berlin and Nadia who were standing before her. Nadia rubbed Akira's cheek and looked at the little girl and said, "yes, baby. Going too long is not good either" he said, smiling sweetly at Akira.

"But Akira is happy that you are here! Akira doesn't mind, really!" sahut Akira with his innocent face.

Berlin smiled at the boy's innocence. She knelt down and looked at Akira and smiled at him, saying, "one day you can visit again, right?" tanyanya stared round the two beautiful eyeballs belonging to the little girl.

"of course! If only Akira wanted to be with you guys!" pekik Akira then suddenly hugged the Berlin that was in front of him. He closed his watery eyes and hugged Berlin tightly.

"All right then! Someday you want to take Akira away, will Akira want to?" Berlin took off the hug slowly and watched the sad expression of the girl before him, and that expression was enough to shake his heart.

Hearing the invitation, Akira's expression instantly turned to be very happy and cheerful. "really? Akira wants! When?" sahut Akira was very happy.

Berlin smiled at the excited expression and replied, "some day, huh? Because there's a lot of work you have to finish first."

"Promise?" sahut Akira returned with a radiant face while raising his little finger.

Berlin stared gently at the girl before him and tied a little promise with her, "promise! When it's all over, brother will come to Akira for us to go together" he said, smiling at the little girl.

"Yay!" Akira jumped up in excitement, "About waiting! Brother, don't forget, yes!" he said he smiled widely and showed his innocent cheerful face to Berlin.

"Are you sure of the promise and what you said to Akira earlier?" tanya Nadia turned her head and looked at Berlin who seemed to focus on driving.

After the conversation with Akira was over. Berlin said goodbye and left the orphanage. Nadia was pleased with everything she witnessed today, but also harbored a sense of doubt about the promise Berlin made to Akira.

"Of course I'm sure, it's a unanimous decision from myself, baby. You don't mind my decision, do you?" Berlin turned his head slightly and answered the question, then turned his eyes back to the street in front of him.

Nadia smiled and said, "i really don't mind," he said, looking intently at Berlin and then saying, "you don't give false hopes to a child, yes!" emphatically.

Berlin smiled and said, "of course I wouldn't do that, and I'm not that kind of person."

Nadia raised one eyebrow and frowned, "are you not that kind of person?" tanyanya looked suspiciously.

"Yes, honey. Think back to our relationship, have I ever given you false hope?" sahut Berlin glanced at his wife.

Nadia blushed to herself with the questions and answers she got. As he remembered it to be true, Berlin never denied or gave false hope.

"Don't I give false hope to a child under five? I'm a bad person, but I still have a heart and it's not that bad" he continued.

Nadia turned her head and looked at her husband with a look of admiration mixed with pleasure. The man he knew was now much changed for the better compared to the first time he knew. Moreover, knowing the nature and attitude that changed drastically when facing children, and it shows that Berlin looks very fond of the presence of children.

"What's wrong? Is there something wrong with me?" Berlin was confused to find his wife just silent while continuing to see her who was driving.

Nadia smiled and shook her head, "i just still can't believe that you were going to be liked by the kids there" he said.

"Berlin, do you like children?" continues asking.

Berlin smiled faintly at the question. "Sometimes kids are troublesome, but they're funny. I don't know if I like them, but I don't mind their presence. If I object, then I definitely refused to visit the orphanage."

"Um ... speaking of children, a-what are you .... have you thought of ... if someday .... do we have a child?" chirping Nadia suddenly asked so while looking down to hide her blushing face. He seemed very nervous when he asked about it.

Berlin glanced and a little chuckled at the question. "Of course I've been thinking about it, even from the very beginning when I was committed to having a relationship and marrying you, Nadia." Berlin gave his answer seriously, but with a view of continuing to focus on the streets in front of him.

Nadia was speechless hearing that answer and felt happy all by herself. She leaned her head against her husband's shoulder, and closed her eyes there.

"You're a habit, huh! I'm driving, you know!" cetus Berlin when his wife leaned on him, although he did not mind it. But Nadia just smiled with her eyes still closed.
