Ashgard: Ambition and Purpose

Ashgard: Ambition and Purpose
Submissive and Submissive? #173

Talks are still going on, even as the time shows at nine p.m. Throughout the conversation that took place in Garwig's room. Berlin and his three colleagues received a lot of new information about the work they were going to do. A lot of things were said by Garwig, and they were new to Berlin and his colleagues.

Five minutes later, at nine o'clock. The conversation met the end point. Garwig thanked the three men, for taking the time to come see him.

"So ... When are we assigned?" tanya Berlin, walking side by side with Garwig through the main hall, followed by her three comrades in the back.

"For that matter, I have to arrange a few things first" Garwig replied, before continuing to speak, "there's actually still a place I have to show you, and that place will be your headquarters."

"Oh, huh? Can I see how that place is?" sahut Berlin, looks quite enthusiastic and interested.

Garwig turned his head, smiled and said, "of course you can, but not today."

It had yet to completely finish through that vast main hall. Garwig stopped his steps, faced Berlin head-on and said, "before you go home, can we have a little chat? Speak four eyes."

Berlin turned his head, looked at his three comrades and then said, "you wait for me outside, yeah ...!" her door.

The three colleagues nodded obediently. They preceded Berlin, walking towards the exit of the building. While Berlin itself, he followed Garwig's steps leading to a hallway, at the end of the hallway there are stairs that will take him to the roof of the building.

"Isn't the ladder broken?" cetus Berlin when climbing one by one the stairs that have been repaired with his cane. Indeed, the ladder has been repaired and can be passed, only it has not been fully completed.

"Repair in this building is deliberately emphasized to be accelerated, therefore it does not take a week this ladder can be passed," replied Garwig.

A few steps later, the two of them finally reached the roof of the building. The roof is one of Garwig's favorite places when she wants to spend time alone, releasing all her fatigue by contemplating and breathing fresh air from the top of the building.

"What about the police certificate? Did Prawira create any problems during the manufacturing process?" cetus Garwig, stepped near a concrete fence on the edge of the roof, and leaned against the fence.

Berlin was quite surprised by what Garwig questioned. Since when did he tell the man about the affidavit? Of course it became a question that immediately crossed his head.

"Where did you find out about that?" sahut Berlin, standing right next to Garwig.

Garwig chuckled, lowered her head slightly, and smiled cynically as she said, "who do you think I am, Berlin?"

Hearing what Garwig said, immediately made Berlin slightly bowed quietly for a moment, and immediately thought something about his criminal record.

Slowly, Berlin raised his head, turning his head with a sharp gaze toward Garwig next to him. "Is my criminal record clean in the police, it's because of you?" tanya Berlin, flat yet sharp.

Garwig did not respond to Berlin's sharp gaze fixed on her. He chose to look towards the night sky that looked very quiet, not observed the light of the moon or stars.

"Prawira must have told you about following the procedure, right? If your criminal record isn't clean, I'm sure you don't have it until now" the man said.

"Yes, that is," Garwig replied, sighing.

"I guessed it, but .. thank you," said Berlin.

"Berlin, maybe this will be a hard thing for you, especially for Ashgard." Garwig immediately shifted the subject. "I know you don't like to be regulated, let alone to the point of being subject to very binding regulations like a police officer" Garwig said.

"But the rules will remain, and must be obeyed, Berlin. Either way, that's the way, that's the way" continued the man.

Berlin bowed, and was silent for a moment. It was quite difficult for him, especially for Ashgard who from the beginning stood his own principles and stance. Ashgard's principle and stance is not to be subject to anything or anyone, and to the rules that must be obeyed if they accept the work. Of course it is very contrary to the principles and establishment of the group called Ashgard.

"But take it easy, Berlin. The mayor's Special Division doesn't like the police, though they're both officers." Garwig looked over, and smiled at Berlin.

"The police are highly regulated and constrained by regulations and laws, they are obliged to even be forced to comply and submit to applicable laws. You know that, right?" garwig said, flat, but serious. Berlin understood.

"Very different from police agencies, Ashgard will not be so restrained even to the point of being fully subject to those rules. I just need and want you to just obey and respect him" Garwig continued, turning his head, and looking seriously at Berlin.

"Are the candidates before Ashgard like that too? Or did you just give us that privilege?" sahut Berlin, sharp.

Garwig smiled, turning his gaze back towards the night sky as he said, "even though we are one family, there is no privilege in this matter, Berlin."

"Not only to you, the candidates before you are also the same as that, and have become the rules and establishment of the division itself" continued Garwig.

The man moved his gaze back to Berlin and said, "i have no doubt of your capabilities as the leader of Ashgard, Berlin. Therefore, I was able to make a decision without hesitation, because I was very confident and believed in you."

"The highest position will remain in your hands, Berlin. Unlike police agencies whose highest position is in the rules and laws, although they also have higher officials such as Prawira," continued Garwig.

"Then what about the headquarters you mentioned earlier?" cetus Berlin, immediately diverted the topic, expressing a question that had made him curious.

Garwig smiled at the question, plus saw the expression of Berlin who looked quite enthusiastic about it. "It was a facility that was set up for the mayor's Special Division, and it was located not far from the Gates' Residence" Garwig replied.

"I can take you there tomorrow or the day after, and you should know about that place" the man continued.
