Nicolaus slowly climbed down the steps and applauded Berlin, who was standing in the middle of the room. "Great, you-Ashgard are a great little group" he said, applauding and stepping down the stairs.
Looking at Nicolaus's face and demeanor that seemed to belittle him, it was quite evocative of Berlin's emotional flame. Moreover, he came to this island to meet the man with a purpose about the tragedy that occurred many years ago.
"From your eyes and your expression, I'm guessing you want to shower myself with a lot of questions" said Nicolaus, stopping his steps just as he was dealing with the man. The expression and eyes were very sharp, as if holding a grudge and a deep desire to kill. But for a while, Berlin really held all of his emotions in check quite hard.
Berlin sighed quite slowly and then said, "it's good to see you again, Nicolaus. I thought you died roasted in that Mafioso thing."
"I just used a little trick to escape the car explosion. Yes, even though I had to sacrifice a part of my face" Nicolaus said as he raised one hand, and slightly touched the burn scars on his right face that could not be lost.
"Nico, I don't want to talk straight away." Berlin tried to strengthen a little of himself to ask, "why did you do the assault?" tanyakanya. Berlin's memory immediately recalled the re-recorded surveillance cameras he had seen. Such a terrible recording with cruelty and mercilessness.
"Incursions?" Nicolaus paused for a moment and then grasped the intent of the question. "Oh, about the Gates' house attack?" he continued with an expression of disdain and not feeling guilty when remembering it.
"Well, let's just say it's my frown" the man chirped with an expression filled with laughter.
Berlin really had enough trouble controlling his emotions. His heart was so unable to accept Nicolaus's attitude as if it did not feel guilty at all. His head was hot, and his hands seemed to be impatient to finish Nicolaus off to the fullest.
"On the other hand, I actually have other goals and reasons besides being just a mere 'bad." Nicolaus's sharp gaze led to Berlin, as if it held a meaning behind it of vengeance and an ambition of its own.
"I-more precisely we, have been paid someone to do this, and at the same time I am based on my own personal intentions and goals" Nicolaus continued.
Getting paid? By someone? Instantly Berlin wondered in his mind who paid Nicolaus to do it. But get rid of it temporarily, and focus on the person who has done the action and even executed both parents very cruelly. The man is in front of him.
"Nicolaus, you should have known why I came here, and what my purpose was to dare to come to this island."
"Yes, I was guessing, and maybe I know your purpose."
Nicolaus really showed a disrespect for Berlin, and thought about his feelings about the murder tragedy he committed.
"I don't think, it turns out you were the mastermind behind the death of my parents. Be honest and just so you know, Nicolaus. After knowing this, I could not take it for granted," Berlin said so emotionally, to the point that he endured it. Both of his hands were clenched tightly as if holding back any anger that might explode at any moment.
"Now I'm in front of you, Berlin. I was the one who killed your parents, and I was the mastermind who controlled those people to attack your extended family residence. Not only did I kill both of your parents, but I also killed many of your brothers in that residence, Berlin."
"And just so you know, my real personal goal is .. to kill you there, Berlin. In that room."
Heard the last sentence Nicolaus said. Instantly Berlin is stunned and his memory is thrown into the past when Garwig tells him about the chronology of his parents' deaths.
**
Half a year ago.
"Then, what happened? Why do you look so sad?" sahut Berlin turned his head and looked curiously at Garwig beside him.
"Do you want me to continue?" sahut Garwig asked.
"Yes, I want to know!" pinta Berlin and stared with a pleading gaze at Garwig.
Seemed forced, Garwig continued. "Just two years after they both took office, and after everything they achieved during their tenure. Suddenly a terrible political tragedy happened and befell them both."
"Tragedy?" Berlin was quite surprised and increasingly curious about what happened.
"This house .. was attacked in the middle of the night .. by a group of armed men. That group of people killed the mayor's guards, some members of the Gates family, and that includes both of your parents who died in this room, too," garwig said with teary eyes and seemed to no longer want to remember the incident.
"They died protecting you who was a 10-month-old baby at the time" he continued, sighing quite heavily.
Berlin was stunned and speechless when he heard what Garwig said to him. "Protect me ...?" berlin muttered with teary eyes after hearing what Garwig said. His breathing suddenly trembled sobbing and felt unexpected with what Garwig said.
Garwig stopped the story knowing that she had made Berlin shed tears. He approached and embraced the man beside him.
Off Flashback.

"It's true that I should have finished you off at that time, but unfortunately both of your barriers - your parents - were very disturbing. They are really annoying," Nicolaus murmured speaking by himself.
"Enough ...! Don't talk about them, because you don't have a right to it ...!" Berlin was slightly bowed and spoke with heavy intonation and sounded quite low. His gaze was sharp, and the flames of revenge as well as the sense of inadmissibility were extremely burning. It was clearly visible in both of his eyes that seemed to smoldering to finish off the man before him.
Nicolaus saw that sharp gaze full of anger and resentment. He knew who he was dealing with, so he kept an alert and cautious attitude towards the man named Berlin.
"All right, let's see what you can do. It just so happens that when you were a baby, I failed to kill you at that time" Nicolaus chirped with one hand into his pants pocket as if grabbing something in there.
Berlin saw this, and put on a standby. One of his hands was behind the black robe he was wearing, and was ready to pull quickly a gun hanging from his waist.
