A Week of Peace #23

A week had passed, and during that one week there was no news of any crime. The week was very peaceful and quiet. But this makes Ashgard, including Berlin, increasingly suspicious and vigilant.

Even so, during the day Berlin was not preoccupied with his work for a while. He is currently accompanying his wife to visit the orphanage. Nadia seemed very happy when she would visit the orphanage where she came from.

"Is there anything left?" ask Berlin after finishing arranging some cardboard boxes containing toys in his car. He and Nadia wanted to give the toys to the children in the orphanage.

"No one, yuk!" nadia replied and immediately got into the car. He seems very excited about this.

"Yes, yes, let's go!" Berlin came in and sat in the driver's seat. He could see the beautiful and cheerful face of his wife sitting next to him. The spirit was very burning and even Nadia seemed to be impatient to get to the orphanage she was going to visit.

Berlin also drove his car to the Eastern District through heavy traffic during the working hours this afternoon. He had to be patient because he had to go through a little traffic jam.

"How are they doing, huh? We haven't been there for a long time" Nadia asked Berlin about the children at the orphanage.

Berlin smiled and replied, "they must be fine .. let alone Akira."

"Akira, huh? The child ... really reminded me when I was a child," muttered Nadia and then smiled to herself. While Berlin just smiled silently while glancing at his wife.

Suddenly Berlin held and stroked the woman's head and said, "it's okay, I like you like that, you are always cheerful as always," he said while looking softly at Nadia.

What Berlin did was enough to make Nadia clumsy and nervous at once. "Basic, you like it, you!" nadia grumbled at Berlin with her angry expression and pursed lips, but she did not resist with the man's actions towards her.

Berlin liked the cute expression, smiling and saying, "stop that expression, or I'll keep teasing you ...!" pinta then turned his gaze back to the road because the queue of cars in front of him had started to speed.

Berlin and Nadia finally arrived at an orphanage located in the Eastern District. The condition of the orphanage is currently seen crowded with children who are playing in its yard. Nadia looked at the happy children who looked cheerful when playing around in the orphanage yard.

Looking at a car that stopped and parked in front of the yard, made some children there run into the orphanage with a little fear, but some actually approached the courtyard fence with innocent expressions and curious gazes.

The children stared in awe at the car that stopped in front of the courtyard. Hearing the crowd of the children, a middle-aged woman walked out of the orphanage to see who had come to visit.

Nadia got down first from the car, and went straight to the middle-aged woman very excitedly. She ran a little and hugged the middle-aged woman, saying, "have you seen me for a long time, Mother?"

The person he called 'Mother' was warmly welcoming to Nadia's arrival. He smiled kindly and said, "I guess who came to visit."

She was Helena's mother, the one who took care of the orphanage as well as the children who lived.

"Then, where's your husband? You came here alone?" ask Helena's mother.

Nadia shook her head and replied, "Berlin is picking up some stuff in the car, we want to give something to the kids here."

At the same time, Berlin came with three piles of cardboard boxes in his hand. Helena's mother smiled and looked very happy. He immediately entertained the guests who came and invited him into the orphanage.

"Geez, why bother?" said Helena's mother sitting in the living room with Berlin and Nadia.

"It just so happens that we have some unused toys and they are still very good, rather than wasted, so we want to give them to the kids here." Nadia spoke to Helena's mother as she opened three boxes of cardboard next to the sofa.

"Thank you very much, again you helped us," said Helena's mother and shook hands with Nadia and Berlin with a very happy expression.

Berlin smiled and said, "if you need anything else, just tell us, maybe we can help."

In the middle of the conversation, suddenly some girls and boys came over with their curious faces. They looked very curious about the contents of the boxes, and plus they had heard the words about 'toys'.

"Sister Berlin! Brother Nadia!" akira exclaimed running with a very pleased expression and then hugged the two of them.

Behind Akira was Alana who was walking after the little girl. Alana is a 24-year-old woman, and she is the biological daughter of Helena's mother. He also had a very important role for the orphanage, and was very close to the children there.

"As long as I don't see you here, Akira isn't naughty, is he?" nadia asked as she stroked the girl's head slowly and gently.

Berlin smiled and replied, "it's a toy!" then he got up from the sofa and took the boxes to the living room. "Well, let's open the card!" take Berlin to Akira and the other kids.

"Come on!" sahut Akira's.

"I want a toy!"

"What toys, huh?"

All the children there immediately followed in Berlin's footsteps and gathered in the living room. In the living room there was a very large carpet, and it was there that Berlin opened the boxes and took out all the toys in them.

"I want this!" exclaimed a girl then took a doll from the cardboard.

"Me too!" other girls who seem to want the same toys.

"Don't scramble, huh? You must be part of it, really! Or you can also take turns." With great patience and painstaking Berlin overcame the children so as not to quarrel over fighting over toys.

"Replacement?" ask the girl with her face.

"Yes! When you're done, you can give your toys to others so that others can play with them too!" berlin replied with a very friendly and uncharacteristic attitude. He also seemed very patient when facing the children.

"Look! Here is the car we saw outside too!" exclaimed a boy took a toy car that was almost similar to the car driven by Berlin.

"Well, yeah!" cetus some other boys.

Helena's mother, Alana, and Nadia saw all of it. Nadia herself felt very happy when she saw Berlin could immediately be very familiar with the children there. And he also could not see the cold and scary attitude that Berlin usually always showed. It was as if all that cold attitude had melted and melted instantly.

"Nadia, apparently ... Berlin can be a good father later" Alana said as she sat next to Nadia.
