Become Tyrant On My Own Way

Become Tyrant On My Own Way
Chapter 101 – A QUIET NIGHT AT THE PALACE

In the end Uncle Algebra made it to the palace of the Meglovia Kingdom safely around the time the sun was still bright. Arriving there, he immediately visited Father who was lying on the bed. There was Mother also there and it seemed that Mother was uncomfortable being near me, so I chose to leave the room, leaving Ilene there to control the situation.

Evening has arrived. I was accompanied by Albert and Yasmin gazing at the star beauty in the sky through one of the palace's second-floor terraces. Suddenly by chance, Uncle Algebra also visited the terrace until we passed each other.

As if to understand that I wanted to have a chat with Uncle, Yasmin reasoned to go make some tea for a while, while Albert chose to leave us by staying on guard at the entrance of the terrace after being poked by Yasmin.

“How is your life, son, in this kingdom?”

“Regularly, Uncle. Many difficult, but many happy memories.”

Seen Uncle pondered for a moment seemed hesitant to reveal what he really wanted to express.

“Uncle heard that you cannot obtain formal education due to the prohibition of the sacred temple of the Kingdom of Meglovia.”

Apparently it's about my exclusion.

“Even though I did not get a formal education, I still got a decent education, Uncle. My teachers are talented too. In fact, it was better since I could choose my own teaching team. I can learn anything I want. Isn't that even better?”

Uncle stared deep into his space. His black eyes were as deep as the color of the dark sky, exactly the same as the color of my eyes.

“However we deny it, sometimes the slightest difference, whether it is hair color, skin color, and eye color, will make someone feel we are foreign. That's a natural thing. Since humans are selfish creatures. If it's hard for you to live in isolation in this kingdom, how about going with Uncle to Ignitia? I'm sure Nak Helios there can be more blended since having a countryman.”

What Uncle Algebra said was right. Even though I am like my other brothers and sisters who have the blood of a quarter of the people of Ignitia, only I have the physical characteristics of the nation that make me look different from all the Meglovians in this kingdom.

Even the father, whose blood is one-two Ignitians, still has the physical characteristics of the Meglovians. Forgetting the tyrant's prophecy, that alone was enough to alienate me in this place.

If it was me who used to be asked that question before I knew Talia and Albert, I would have decided to follow Uncle. But as I grew up in this kingdom, many experiences have been etched into my heart, be it good memories, or bad ones.

Everything subconsciously became so meaningful that I did not want to let go of it anymore.

Besides, if I approve of Uncle and this time I'm taking Talia, Albert, and Alice to that place, it does not rule out the possibility that this time they will receive what kind of treatment I now feel since their physical characteristics are very different from the Ignitians.

Talia with silver hair and her golden eyes or Albert and Alice with her bright yellow hair color, are also very striking features if in the Kingdom of Ignitia.

“I also have an important thing in this place that I want to take good care of, Uncle.”

Hearing my answer, although I did not reveal it openly, Uncle immediately understood what I meant.

I have refused his invitation.

He also seemed sad because of it.

“But thank you for thinking of me, Uncle.”

Uncle seemed to smile with relief at my answer. In contrast to Uncle's jet-black eyes, it had mixed a little white in his hair. Without feeling the time has passed so quickly. The uncle I had last met was fresh, now covered in signs of aging.

“Rather than running, I prefer to change the existing state. There is not a single race in this world that can demonize other races. If we refer to the general characteristics of black hair, do not the average inhabitants of the Ifrak Continent and Asium have black hair? So it could be said that the average inhabitants of the Ernoa Continent were strange. So it is not appropriate that the inhabitants of this continent are sensitive to differences in physical characteristics. Isn't that right, Uncle?”

Whatever the color of his hair, one day everything will return to white eaten by age. Wouldn't it be strange if the conflict between countries happened because of that ridiculous difference that was soon swallowed up by time?

In the middle of that night, I pondered for quite a while in the darkness. What does conflict really mean to humans? We are in conflict only because of simple problems such as differences in nationality, wealth, power, the throne, and even up to women. Are humans born intelligent beings, but are stupid enough to use their minds?

Can't people understand each other, give in, share for the peace of this world?

I decided not to be greedy for the throne and will accompany Tius to be a wise king. I hope this world will be better in the future.

But for a moment, there was doubt in my heart. Will the day on which inter-relationship of mankind regardless of conflict really materialize?

Late middle night. Me and my usual party, Albert and Yasmin, immediately headed to my room. I actually can't feel drowsiness at all, but I don't want to be suspected of being a strange entity until someone realizes that I've never slept. That's why I headed to my room to pretend to be asleep by driving Albert and Yasmin back to their rooms.

At least that's what I planned. Suddenly, the door was knocked. At first I thought it was one of Albert or Yasmin who came back to visit me, but apparently it was the unexpected guest who came to my room.

That was Theia's mother.

“Son Helios, I heard from Brother Algebra that you were seriously injured, son. Is your wound okay, son?”

I gaped agape at the sudden development. The mother who usually looked at me as if staring at an insect that even when I was sent to a dangerous place like Painfinn City which was a nest of monsters even smiled happily as if the hump on her back had finally come off as well, suddenly I worry about me.

Of course I'm happy if in the end I can also get Mother's attention. But why suddenly? I'm so used to her attitude for 15 years, so it feels weird that she's suddenly being nice to me.

“I'm fine, B...”

“Your Majesty... Who Started Her Majesty The Queen! You forgot His Majesty's medicine. Your illness can recur if you forget the cure. Please have Her Majesty Her Majesty drink it first.”

Not long before I could finish my answer to Mother's worried question, a servant seemed to arrive with a glass of water with her which she claimed was medicine for Mother.

“What medicine?”

Out of curiosity about what kind of medicine it is and indeed Mother is currently sick, I asked. Who knows my medical science can also cure his disease.

“Ah, rather than medicine, this is the blessing of the holy water of the holy temple, His Highness the Prince. To calm the stress of Her Majesty The Queen who piled up, every week His Majesty always visited the holy temple to pray and was given a soul tranquilizing holy water there.”

Ah, this must be about the stress experienced by Mother after Leon's death. If so, my medical science could not help much because what Mother needs more today is the confidence to move on.

Medical drugs can only make him addicted. Sometimes, superstitious things like soul-soothing holy water can be more effective at treating someone who is stressed out.

I thought, Mother's attitude has been improving on me since that night. Apparently, though,

“Don't get close to me, you son of a bitch!”

He returned to his usual habits to me.
