Chapter 156 – ILENE IS GONE
While I was talking to Alice, Doctor Minerva's report came to me asking me to visit her lab about her finding something very interesting about the vampire case she was researching.
Without delaying any more time, I immediately visited Doctor Minerva's laboratory.
“So, what discoveries have you found, Doctor Minerva?”
“Ah, Your Grace. Come here and watch this.”
Doctor Minerva then showed me the experiment.
“As I have written in previous reports, regarding the female vampire that I asked not to kill before, we have isolated her in a room. On the first to fourth day, the specimen showed increasingly violent symptoms.”
“But arriving on the fifth day, the excitement suddenly subsided. Then on the sixth day, the specimen was found to have died in the same condition while still a corpse, dry flattened without a single drop of blood remaining in his body.”
“To investigate whether this applies to all vampires, we asked for a second specimen and performed the same test. And the result, although with a slightly different time realm, the symptoms shown are more or less the same.”
“However, on the second specimen, we had time to take his blood sample as Your Majesty saw on this sample box.”
I then noticed the blood sample that Doctor Minerva showed. Those black dots are nothing but blood cells that have been infected by the vampire virus where other blood cells that are not infected are the food. It was like a wild fish in a pond that however when there was no more food in the pond or the water in the pond was dried, no matter how hard it was, it would definitely die soon.

I didn't immediately answer Doctor Minerva's question. While Olo who was beside me showed an even more foolish expression than me.
