Behind The Divorce

Behind The Divorce
Chapter 23. Wedding Ring

Lean's fingers trembled as she retrieved the contents from inside the small box that was given the service earlier. Seeing the endless round object made Lean's chest feel so tight. A lump of meat behind there as if re*mas. Sick? Yeah, that's how Lean feels right now.

He had still a little hope. Only a few of the many reproaches he could not break through. However, looking at the thing that Caitlyn had just returned that morning, making that tissue-thin hope finally disappear and disappear in an instant.

Lean turned around and headed back to her room. The initial goal that you want to go to the office is not to be continued. Lean took a while to calm down. It's too heavy, it feels even heavier than yesterday.

“As soon as you want to let go of me so you don't want to use this ring anymore? What's a day in these three years nothing works for you at all?” Lean monologued along the stairs. “OK, fine we split. Do I have to return all wedding rings? So much so that he did not want any trace of memory. What a cruel you, heartless woman!”

Arriving at the room, Lean immediately stepped towards the walk in closet. The man wanted to put the wedding ring back in a special place prepared for jewelry in a large storefront in the middle of the room.

However, Lean was shocked to realize many things that morning. In the storefront, all the jewelry that Lean had prepared or bought herself by Caitlyn, she left everything there.

“What the fuck? He didn't lose his mind, ‘kan? How could he leave behind the precious objects that he had been aiming for all this time? Nope, no. This must be something wrong.” Lean couldn't believe what she saw.

He immediately headed to Caitlyn's wardrobe. All the objects are still intact and not one less there.

“It could be three years of living together as a husband and wife but no feelings whatsoever grow. A truly demonic woman. Money and money only he thinks.”

Lean stared one by one at the items in the cupboard until her eyes stopped on one big enough box there. His hand moved quickly to grab the box and open it. Again Lean was surprised and could not believe the contents of the box. A set of diamond jewelry that became their wedding dowry three years ago, complete with various black cards that Lean had given him.

“Even this she left?” Lean was not left thinking about everything Caitlyn had left behind. The man closed the closet door and leaned there with his head turned up and eyes closed.

Let's get divorced, Al.

I just want a divorce from you, Aleandro Vernon Sanjaya!

I don't want your money for a dime!

Don't you also understand that I can't wait to break this bond?

Caitlyn's words seemed to re-echo in her ears repeatedly, making Lean so angry. He opened his eyes and looked back at the things Caitlyn had left behind.

“Which rich man has he got besides me? Truly a demon woman!” maki Lean was about to throw the wedding ring that was still in her grasp.

However, no. He didn't do it for some reason. Lean seemed to wake up and stared at the endless round object back. His eyes turned to look at his ring finger which was still embedded the same thing there. Lean then detaches from her ring finger and stores it together with the one Caitlyn has.

Lean came out of the locker room and looked for her phone. He then contacted his assistant and asked to send people to monitor every move of Saskia. He has to go to Caitlyn and bring her to Grandma Sanju. He himself felt the need to meet and talk to Caitlyn because for Lean, his affairs with the woman were not finished.

However, until two more weeks had passed, there were no signs of suspicion that Saskia had shown at all. The woman went in and out of her apartment as usual and was always alone. Neither did Caitlyn's face nor anyone else with her. Every day the blank report that Lean gets.

These two weeks have changed Lean a lot. The time of eating and sleeping becomes reduced and irregular resulting in his face looks thin and unkempt. His appearance was always neat and dignified, even now he did not care.

That afternoon Lean looked very tired because she did a lot of activities from the morning. Meeting with clients, reviewing Sanjaya Group's new project construction site, and now he has to face a pile of reports and company data that he must read and sign one by one.

“Master, you don't want to rest first?” ask Jerry. The man knew that since morning Lean had not had breakfast, until now it was past lunch.

That's what Jerry felt. He was very concerned to see the condition of his master after Caitlyn's departure. That beautiful woman just disappeared into the earth. Little trace of him, not even detectable by the power of an Aleandro. This is really weird.

“Let's go, Jerry.” Lean replied without looking at her assistant.

“But it's past lunch time, sir. You can get sick.” Lean ventured into giving a little protest.

Lean paused for a moment and placed the pen on her desk. He breathed his tired breath violently.

“You're worried about me?” Lean paused and leaned on the back of the chair. “But he didn't, Jerry,” continued Lean in a soft voice.

Jerry knew who his master meant. “Master, don't you feel anything strange?” ask Jerry.

Lean looked at her assistant with an incomprehensible face. “You mean?” Next to Lean's eyebrows raised.

“I feel if anyone accidentally closed all access about young lady. That is, if only he was helped by his friend, why is it so hard for us to find his trail, sir? Yes, his friend's family was indeed an influential family, but it was not enough to match the power of the Sanjaya Group, right? Then why is it difficult for us to know the trail?” obviously Jerry's at length.

Long Lean stared at him in silence until something crossed her mind.

Is Nathan behind all this? What power does he have?

I don't know why, but Lean was a little hesitant if Nathan could do that.

Is this a job ... no, it's impossible!

Lean's mind and mind were fixed on one name, but she was not sure of it either.

“Sh*it!
