Chapter 40. Hurts

It was night and Hadya was anxious because Lean had not yet arrived home. His whereabouts were not even detected by his father's men. Hadya's men lost track of Lean while on their way from the small town Caitlyn lived in to the capital.

Enraged, Lean drives brutally and uncontrollably. A sane person would be afraid to do what he did back then. As a result, he had arrived home earlier than his father's men.

Lean's current destination was her father. He wanted to scold the father who always defended Caitlyn and glorified the woman. Just as Lean's car was parked in the courtyard, Hadya who was looking from the balcony of the room immediately rushed out to greet her.

“Lean!” call Hadya.

He could see the look on his son's face that was clearly reflected in disappointment and anger there. Hadya immediately approached and was about to hold her shoulders, but Lean brushed aside strongly unmitigatedly.

“What, Pa? She's talking to Papa again? Cunning women do not know themselves to mention, yes?” lean's bursts of emotion. “Papa saw what he did, ‘kan? She was pregnant when we were a month apart, Pa. That's what Papa wants to be proud of him, huh?”

Hadya closed her eyes for a moment, calming her heart and easing her emotions so as not to explode because of the desire to beat her son earlier.

“Lean, can't stand a little of your emotions and listen to papa's explanation? Can you not, Lean?” ask Hadya in a low and soft voice.

However, Lean was still Lean, not heeding her father's words at all.

“What else do you want Papa to explain? Couldn't you, Papa don't need to buy that cheap woman? She is nothing more than a prick in our life–”

“Lean!” snarled Hadya hard.

The emotional man laughed even more. “Look, Papa really puts more emphasis on his feelings than my feelings that are clearly Papa's child?” Lean stopped her laughter and shook her head. “Belain just keep going, Pa. Belain. Because of Papa's defense, he was so brave to bring other men there and make out until pregnant. What else is his name if not cheap?” Lean's voice was rising.

The father and son debate raises a ruckus that draws the attention of Sania and Cecilia. The mother and child watched and put their ears up from a safe enough distance to avoid being caught.

“One more time you call your wife like that, this hand will really hit you, Lean!” a stern warning from Hadya with a clenched hand.

What do you care about Lean with that warning or threat? He doesn't care about anything. He just wanted to vent all his emotions and hurt and disappointment.

“Do, Pa. Do it if that's what Papa wants. Just hurt this kid for cheap women don't know themselves!”

The sound of Hadya's slap echoed until it was heard filling the living room they were walking in at that time. The vibe reflects a new incision for Lean. All his life, only this time his father's hand was raised for him. Lean doesn't believe this.

Meanwhile, Hadya himself was much more injured. His hands shook from doing things he never wanted to do in his entire life. Lean is the most precious thing in her life. The presence of his son was far more meaningful than the wealth he had. Lean is living proof of the many memories left by Jeanice–his late first wife. Lean is her pride, although she has a child with Sania, but her affection cannot be comparable to that she gave to Lean.

The emotional man was a living proof of how much he loved his late first wife. She always had a special place in Hadya's heart more than any other child because she was born from the womb of the woman Hadya loved so much.

While Sania, the foolish Hadya at the time, was framed just like she did Caitlyn and Lean. The difference was that Hadya was framed when he already had a wife and a baby son. Inevitably, Hadya must take responsibility if not want her family's reputation destroyed, even her perfect household is also threatened by shipwreck. For years Hadya hid his forbidden relationship with Sania, until it was known by his late wife–Jeanice, when Lean was already in the 6th grade of Elementary School. Jeanice is shocked to learn that her husband has a mistress, and even the forbidden relationship produces children.

Since that day Jeanice was stressed and fell ill for a year, until finally she chose to leave Lean and Hadya's life for good. At that time, Lean was already sitting in the 1st grade Junior High and the grandmother who took care of her. After two years of Jeanice's departure, Hadya finally married Sania and took her to Sanjaya's residence because of her insistence and deceit.

“Lean ... papa ...” Hadya stuttered with teary eyes. He didn't know what he wanted to say at the time.

Lean was still staring at her father with a flat face. “Do it one more time, Pa.” Show the other side of her cheek. “Nih, next to it hasn't Papa slapped. Come, Pa!”

Hadiah fell silent with a trembling mouth unable to reply to the words of her son, until Lean left from his presence. While a few meters from where Hadya stood, Sania and Cecilia still faithfully peeked. They widened their mouths with eyes in disbelief.

“Waow, the little boy was amazing to make two men who loved each other had a big fight and even hurt each other. Emejing, Ma.” Cecilia whispered to her mother.

“Not that, Honey. We have a lot of good opportunities for their problems. Mama should move this time too, do not let this golden opportunity disappear for free.”

Sania immediately turned around leaving the place and passed by somewhere, followed by Cecilia who understood nothing.
