Chapter 55. Because of Him

Someone who called Caitlyn back then, suddenly fell silent and stopped his words unnaturally. Caitlyn steady the one who called her that was Doctor Vargas. However, the next second he was wide open to see the doctor was suddenly silent because of the reckless and ridiculous action of his best friend.

“Saskia, lu gi*la, yeah? Badassss. Conscious ih.” The words instantly awakened Saskia.

Saskia immediately released her lips that were stuck to the doctor's lips. Afraid that the doctor's voice would be heard by Sania and Nathan, Saskia pulled him over and shut her mouth. The woman of the stature was suddenly awkward, but tried to keep her appearance slayyyy.

“Oh, the. I'm sorry, yes, Doc. That was my reflex because we were both impromptu detectives. Hehe,” clearly Saskia while chuckling. “The voice of the doctor was a bit big earlier so I was afraid our existence was discovered and finally .. it was just my ninja path, Doc . I'm sorry, yes, Doc. If you want to ask for responsibility also I am okay,” continued Saskia who made Caitlyn can only shake.

Meanwhile, Doctor Vargas did not give any response and just stared silently while nodding small.

Saskia nodded and laughed in her heart.

“Hm, forgive my friend, yes, Doc.” Caitlyn apologized. “What about that patient, Doc? It's been 2 months I haven't got any reports, Doc. He said it's getting better. Didn't you realize it yet?” ask Caitlyn curiously.

“That's what I wanted to say to you earlier.” Glanced at Saskia flatly. “Patients concerned two days ago already aware–”

Suddenly there was the sound of a falling object loudly from the direction of Nathan and Sania. Caitlyn and Saskia reflexively stared at each other. With just a look, they know the contents of each other's minds. Saskia immediately peeked at the falling object earlier, but the two people there were no longer there.

“Sh*it! They say, Ly.” Saskia swore without caring about the existence of others among them. The girl of the stature was indeed no jaim-jaimnya.

The three stopped and found Lean's personal assistant there. The man ran a pair of lackeys a few steps closer, while Caitlyn immediately let go of Vargas's hand.

“What are you doing, Miss? You forgot if you are pregnant?” asked Jerry who immediately realized Caitlyn would be careless. The man who was as flat and just as irritating as his master turned to stare at Doctor Vargas. “You know what mistake you have made, Doctor? If something happens with Miss and potential successor Sanjaya, you will accept the risk you never imagined.” Finished threatening the doctor, Jerry turned on Saskia. “And you, weren't you entrusted the Great Master to look after Miss? You're endangering us all tonight, Miss Saskia.”

Jerry spoke with a flat face and a normal tone, but they knew there were warnings, threats, and annoyances implied in each of his words.

“Cause of him, anyway.” Saskia was upset as she pointed at Doctor Vargas with her chin.

“Husss, carelessly speaking.” Caitlyn directly hit the auction of her best friend. “Pardon my best friend, yes, Doc.” She looked at her ex-husband's assistant. “Don't be mad at the two of them! It's all my fault and I beg you not to tell me either, yes. Please.” Caitlyn pleaded with both hands clenched in front of the assistant's face.

“We'll see later, Miss.” Very flat speech.

“Kan, just as annoying as his master,” muttered Saskia nonchalantly and got a shot from Caitlyn.

Ignoring the innuendo of a friend from his former boss' wife, Jerry then conveyed his goal of finding the woman. “Mari, Miss. Sir is waiting in the examination room.”

“Doctor, we meet again later. Please take good care of him. Anyone who wants to get in there, please don't allow,” Caitlyn's message to Doctor Vargas. “Come, Kia!”

They part with Caitlyn's erratic feelings and divided mind.
