Chapter 66. Hypothermia
Driving for about two hours, the car driven by Lean finally arrived at the hospital. The medics moved closer in a gurney to take Caitlyn for a quick check, but again Lean refused.
“Let's go first. He had just slept a while ago therefore let him sleep even longer. You do not need to bring a gurney, just give it back,” the order.
The medics complied and returned the gurney. However, they remained standing on standby in front of the hospital.
Lean turned to the side and looked at the peaceful face of Caitlyn who was so deep. The man realized that despite being this tired and chaotic, the woman still looked beautiful. Lean has admitted that since. Even though she hated Caitlyn so much, but her male instincts could not deny, even resisting the charm of that one beautiful woman.
No wonder he never got bored and never agreed to touch Caitlyn, even though he repeatedly said he hated the woman. Lean always covers up reality for the reason of just wanting to hurt Caitlyn.
Lean chuckled as she shook her head given how stupid she was for never being able to see the woman's good side. He is too blinded by his prestige and self-esteem as a Sanjaya.
“I was stupid,” whispered as he chuckled softly, afraid to wake Caitlyn.
An hour had passed and it was almost 04:00 in the morning, Lean was still faithfully waiting and accompanying Caitlyn. However, on the other hand, he was also already impatient to return to the place where Sania and her minions were. He has been very unyielding to avenge every evil deed of Sania, Nathan, and Tamara.
In the silence of her daydream, Lean was surprised to feel a soft but cold touch, clasping her hand. He regained his senses and found Caitlyn shivering.
“Caitlyn,” call him half whisper.
The man could see if Caitlyn's eyes were still closed but her body was still shivering violently. Lean quickly removed her hoodie and put it on Caitlyn's body. A few seconds after that, the woman beside him still remained shivering.
Lean now approached and grabbed him. “Caitlyn, hey. You why? Don't worry me,” said Lean very slowly.
No change, Lean decided to call one of the medical personnel who still faithfully stood waiting for them.
“Wake up his doctor and get ready to check on my wife right now!” lean's Word.
“Do you need a gurney, Mister?” ask the medical team.
Lean shook her head strongly. “No need!” said firmly.
He then rushed out of the car and ran quickly to open the passenger side door, then immediately took Caitlyn. Lean walked quickly with her broad steps following the two nurses who led her to the obstetric examination room.
Until there, the doctor was waiting and immediately gave treatment to Caitlyn. The doctor was surprised to find the body of his patient who had been kidnapped, shivering violently.
“Since when has Miss shivered like this, Mister?” ask the doctor as his hand moves to install the infusion.
Not to forget, he asked the nurse to put on socks and warm blankets, and turned off the AC to keep the room warm.
“New a few minutes ago, Doctor,” replied Lean. The next second he was surprised to see the doctor ordered to put in oxygen. “Loh, why should it be all oxygen, Doc? My wife why is it?” Start panicking.
“The wife of the Master has hypothermia which can be fatal. Maybe because it has not eaten so easily tired and also too long to be in a cold room so that the body loses a lot of fluids and decreased immunity. Fortunately, it has arrived at the hospital and can be immediately checked if not–”
“Don't continue, Doctor! My wife will be fine.” Lean cut the doctor's word. To be honest he was very afraid of hearing the bad possibilities.
“Ya, Master's wife will be fine.”
After a few minutes, Caitlyn's body began to return to normal and did not shiver anymore. Lean faithfully waited beside him and kept holding his hand. Meanwhile, doctors began working to clean up the scratches on Caitlyn's neck, as well as a small bruise on the tip of her lip.
Lean clenched her hand holding in anger. “Sania,”.
The doctor has now finished treating Caitlyn's wound. He returned to his seat and had the nurse prepare a special gel and tool for the Ultrasound.
Lean shifted her gaze from Caitlyn's face and looked at the doctor so enthusiastically.
“It can already be, well, Doc?” Lean looked very happy.
“Of course, Mr.”
The doctor then asked permission to reveal a few clothes and blankets blocking Caitlyn's flat stomach. Lean's face flushed between annoyed at the doctor who thought he was too presumptuous, or her who could not resist seeing the skin of Caitlyn's abdomen that was so white and smooth. I don't know, the face was definitely holding something in him.
However, the feeling suddenly dissipated as the doctor began to explain the visible parts of the screen. Lean's handsome face looked amazed and happy. Moreover, the doctor heard the weak heart rate, Lean's reflex eyes felt hot and sore.
“Her heart rate is slightly weak due to hypothermia that had experienced by his mother.” The doctor's words made Lean's heart flinch again.
He clasped Caitlyn's hand firmly, then kissed her with his eyes closed.
“I'm sorry I'm late to help you guys, I'm sorry,” he murmured.
Lean regrets that her delay almost killed Caitlyn and the baby. Not long after, the doctor stopped the examination and prescribed Lean medicine.
“Thank you, Doc.”
Lean was already feeling calm because of Caitlyn's condition which was already good enough. He contacted someone at almost half 6 a.m.
📲 “Can please come in hospital right now, I need your help to keep Caitlyn.”
📲 “Ok. 15 minutes later.”
📲 “Thanks.”
Sure enough, within 15 minutes, the person Lean was waiting for finally arrived. He rushed to do his next mission.
“I'm going for a minute, yeah. I'll be back once everything's settled. Just a minute.” He gave a brief peck on Caitlyn's forehead before leaving.
“Titip him, yeah. Please take good care. If you need anything, just call a guard or nurse. Don't leave him alone, I beg you! Thanks, earlier.”
The man nodded and Lean finally came out. The man drove his car at high speed towards where Sania and his father were. On the way, he contacted some of the people he already trusted to prepare something big.
In just over 1 hour, Lean arrives at Sania's new home. He was happy because his father and Jerry were still faithfully holding the four people there.
“Let's continue our game,” said Lean with a devilish smile.
The man now sits with his legs crossed on the chair in the room. Lean then clapped her hand giving the code. The next second, several people entered while carrying a man who greatly shocked all of them in the room including Hadya and Jerry.
“Lean? Dia, ‘kan ...” Hadya.
Meanwhile, Sania and Nathan feel their lives have truly come to an end.
