Every second for the current Lean was regret. I don't know which intersection he's going through right now. Devastated, scared, worried, even frightened in droves came attacking and torturing him mercilessly.
His body felt limp and helpless, but he still forced himself to grip the steering wheel as hard as he could, then stepped on the accelerator and shot back from there towards the capital.
The man bit his lips firmly withstanding the heartache and fury that he was unable to channel back then. Lean wanted to be angry at herself who was always stubborn and never wanted to listen to Caitlyn's words in the slightest.
“I'm sorry,” murmured softly. “Your oath is really what I accept now. I'm ruined, Caitlyn. There is nothing more painful if away from you, and there is nothing scarier than losing you,” he said softly and further increasing the speed of the car.
Newly remembered vividly in his memory of Caitlyn's oath, on the day that they had a great quarrel. The woman with all her heartache and disappointment, swore that this day would happen in Lean's life. The day Lean will regret and feel devastated, more than she ever did for Caitlyn.
“I'm sorry,” muttered Lean again and again. In the next instant, that regretful and anxious face turned wrathful as it remembered one name. “Sania.” Lean called out that name furiously. His concentrated bead flashed full of anger. “Wait, Sania. I'll come to you.”
He further raised his driving speed, splitting the deserted streets at almost late night.
Meanwhile, Hadya is still busy waiting for news from his men who find out the whereabouts of Caitlyn. It had been two hours and could not find any trace of them. Hadya could not help worrying about the condition of her daughter-in-law and future grandchildren.
Hadya is currently on her way to Sanjaya's main residence. The goal is to find any clues that might be tucked between the many objects in his room.
Hadya arrived home almost 12 p.m. He went straight to his room and Sania's. Sania's belongings alone are her target. While waiting for his men's report, Hadya also tried to look for other possibilities. He didn't want to die in an anxiety-filled wait.
“Search, Hady ..search anything until you meet. You have to find it to save Caitlyn and your future granddaughter,” the middle-aged man said as he unpacked their room.
Nearly thirty minutes, Hadya searched his room but there was nothing to guide him. He paused for a moment, then caught his breath because he was quite tired. The man also spread his gaze across the room. That look then fell on the nightstand.
“Ah, there not yet reached earlier.” Hadya quickly went to the nightstand and opened one by one drawer there. “No.” He was also upset and kicked the nightstand.
Hadya is increasingly worried about the daughter-in-law who knows where she is, while the night is getting late. The father of Aleandro Sanjaya rubbed his face rough, then stared blandly at the wall in front of him.
Unintentionally, his eyes saw an old painting that had been plastered in the room decades ago. Hadya's forehead shriveled to see the position of the painting that was slanted and not neatly arranged.
“Why tilted? Feelings since long ago no one moved or touched the item,” said Hadya and immediately rose from his seat.
He approached the painting and was about to correct it, but an object suddenly fell from behind it. Hadya was shocked and almost dropped the large painting she was already holding.
“What is it?” ask Hadya with a frown.
Hadya also confirmed the position of the painting correctly, after which he lowered his head and picked up a thin object below.
“Certificate of home and land?”
The middle-aged man shook his head reading two sheets of paper named Sania. Hadya could not believe that Sania was hiding this from her. However, Hadya did not care and was more interested in the address listed there.
“Hopefully this is the way.”
