Chapter 50. All Because of Sania
As per the father's orders, Lean sat quietly with a flat face, but her ears made sure everything she would hear was clear.
“If your brain can think well, you can immediately know if Caitlyn was pregnant before you split up. Before she moved into her small-town residence, she was temporarily holding your son, Lean.” Hadya began her explanation.
“Pa, but the man himself confessed to Lean that it was–”
“Silence. Papa has not finished talking,” rebuked Hadya in a soft voice with no emotion at all and Lean said.
“Before he decided to go far that day, he and Saskia first went to the hospital and did an examination with the obgyn doctor. Actually, the day that you made a scene in front of the apartment building where Saskia lived, that day Saskia and Nathan wanted to take Caitlyn to the hospital for a checkup, not that she wanted to be alone with your wife,” continued Hadya again.
“We don't know, Pa–”
“You don't know, Lean. Papa knows!” cut Hadya quickly, not giving Lean a chance to express her unreasonable opinion.
“Did you forget that Nathan just returned from overseas to pick up a general surgical specialist? That day they just met again and your wife suddenly fainted there. It just so happened that Nathan and he checked on your wife. As a doctor she knew there were signs of pregnancy. He suggested going to the hospital. But you came and screwed things up.” Hadya looked at her son's annoyance.
“Then why did the breng*sek admit that it was his son? He even asked Lean to be self-conscious, what was it if it wasn't his son, Pa?” Lean ruffled her hair in frustration.
Hadya shook her head. “And you believe it just like that? Is it worth papa to call you bo*doh? Do you trust others more than your own wife? 1x24 hours, the papa people look after and monitor Caitlyn's life there. And no man has ever been there. That day Nathan just came and saw you from morning till night, and you showed up making a fuss. You know what he's doing? Cooking for your wife, comforting her, making her laugh, because Nathan understands that pregnant women should not be stressed and should always be happy. But you showed up to stress my daughter out. If only something happened with the content, papa will make the same calculation you!” threat at the end of the sentence.
“What else do you doubt, Lean? Every second you monitor your activity. And papa never got a report if your wife did anything rude out there, or betrayed you in the back. Never, Lean. Why can't you see the love in her eyes? Caitlyn loves you so much, Lean. Not Nathan or any other man.” Hadya's tone still remained stable and calm in resuscitating her son.
“But papa forgot if he set Lean up for marriage, and also he asked for a divorce, Pa. She's a cunning woman, all she wants is money, Pa. Only treasure.” Lean spoke while rubbing her face rough.
“She's not the materialistic woman you thought she was, Lean. He's also not that low to set you up. She was forced to do everything, why can't you see her sincerity and kindness, Lean?” Hadya did not stop thinking with the harshness of the heart of the son.
Actually Hadya did not want Lean to know the rottenness of her stepmother–Sania. Hadya doesn't want to until Lean hates her. Relationships that have been rigid and vulnerable so far let it be like that without the need for more devastating breakthroughs. However, today Hadya was ready to break through his own intentions. Unlocking the complicated bonds that shackle him even his family. Covering the game of Sania, is like immersing yourself in a sea of tubas. Hadya no longer wanted to continue to maintain her good intentions which almost drowned her life many times.
“He never showed that, Pa. How did Lean know? So what did Papa say? She forced? Forced by who? Lean still remembers clearly she did that consciously, Pa. He's aware, he's the one dramatizing everything!” exclaims Lean is angry.
“Sania pressed it! Sania forced him to do everything! He is just a slave under Sania's control! All this hassle because of Sania!” yelled Hadya no longer hold it.
