Behind The Divorce

Behind The Divorce
Chapter 88. Rendi Story

Lunch activities that had passed that day were warm, filled with jokes Lean who seemed to feel happy. Too bad Caitlyn didn't come with them.

The beautiful pregnant woman was still sound in her sleep until lunch time was over, Lean and the other family chose to chat in the family room. Hadya asks about Rendi's decision to either follow Caitlyn's request or choose her own path.

“Pa, shouldn't wait for Caitlyn to wake up first. If for example, Rendi's answer makes him disappointed how? Let him himself who will ask and hear the answer directly,” between Lean who does not agree with this discussion.

“Iya, Hady. Let Caitlyn ask directly.” Grandma Sanju chimed in.

Hadya nodded in agreement. They changed the subject that afternoon. Starting from the daily life of Rendi this week, as well as the development of his health as well.

“Are you still drunk again?” ask Grandma Sanju who had heard the previous story from Hadya.

“No longer, Mistress. I really have been stuck. I realize there's nothing beneficial about the habit, ma'am. I also decided to stop because I want to appreciate the healing and second life given by the young Miss of this house,”, said Rendi full of seriousness.

Sanju's grandmother smiled hearing that, while Hadya and Lean were only happy and satisfied.

Lean patted gently on Rendi's shoulder a few times which happened to be sitting next to her and not far from her back then.

“Keep like that, Bro. Don't disappoint my wife!” said Lean.

“Good, Sir. I promise and you can hold my words to this,” Rendi pledge.

Lean responded with a nod. They continued the conversation until they forgot the time. Hadya asked a lot about the life of Rendi now. Like the work he is doing and his plans ahead.

The time now shows at 3 pm. Grandma Sanju then said goodbye to want to rest for a moment. Actually he was eager to wait for Caitlyn to wake up, but it seemed that the pregnant woman was really tired.

Lean got up from her seat and drove the grandmother into the room. Now only Hadya and Rendi are still chatting in the living room. Suddenly Hadya's mind was fixed on the story of Caitlyn's life in the past.

“Ehm, I want to ask you what my daughter-in-law's life was like. And I would please answer honestly.” Hadya's face now looked very serious.

“Ask only, Sir. When I know, I will answer, Mr.” Randy looked ready.

Rendi was silent for a moment with a face that looked bright. Not long after he began to tell stories, when pieces of memories several years ago crossed his mind.

“That miss was only 5 years old if not mistaken, Sir. I remember that day there was a group of people from a big company like him. They wanted to monitor the location around the market where dad was selling. That said, the land there is a land dispute between the local government and a foreign company but I do not know the name of the company, Mr. Listen at that time they wanted to build a new company there, but local residents refused because they did not want to lose their livelihood, until there was a massive clash. The market situation was chaotic and buyers were running here and there. Father then found the lady who was crying on the side of the road. I suspect miss lost track of her parents, Mr.” Rendi is telling honestly what it is.

Hadya heard the grudge and looked mangosteen. A little later he asked again.

“Didn't anyone look around for a missing child?” Hadya asked again.

“Then I don't know, Sir. At that time I was expelled so I did not live in the house or around there. I just came home again when father to died and miss was taken by Aunt Sani.” Rendi scratched her head that was not itchy.

“But I remember right on the day I was beaten to death and forced to lie to my lady, there were a few people who visited the location around the market again, but not to find trouble. However, they suddenly left because they saw the commotion due to the thugs and the debtors beating me up, sir. They thought there was another clash so they immediately left that time,” continued Rendi.

“Sania? Why does he always show up when there are problems?” muttered Hadya seemed to think.

“You said something, Mister?” ask Rendi.

“Ah, no." Hadya. “May I know the time of the incident, first which happened? Are you the one who was beaten by thugs or people who visited the location there?” ask Hadya again and again.

“It looks like the arrival of the people there first, Mr.” Rendi faithfully answered what it was.

So even though her sister is no longer there but she still often goes to that place? What's business? Wasn't Caitlyn already here that time? Does he care about his nephew? No, Sania is not that caring to people if nothing is beneficial to her.
