  "But the control of integrated circuits has always been in the hands of the giants in Silicon Valley. You might have trouble competing with them."

  Lance attended the Technology Conference because Toneys had invited him to take a look at the current situation.

  He doesn't expect to meet a killer on a cruise ship, and certainly doesn't expect to land in a food paradise like New Haven.

  "If you're not trying to compete, how do you know?" Ethan glanced at Lance. "It's just like yourself. If you're not trying to change, then how do you know that things can't be changed?"

  Lance pursed his lips and was silent for a moment.

  "You're right, I really should try to change. But I don't know where to start," he sighed and smiled bitterly. "Nobody ever thought to do this."

  He didn't know what he had to do and where to start, and he wasn't sure how much this meant. Maybe he did know how much it meant, but it didn't mean much to one person alone.

  And he knows that it will eventually become meaningful once he succeeds, but he may not be able to bear the price of success.

  Ethan said nothing. He will not force anyone to do anything.

  Hasty footsteps came from afar and several cars drove towards them.

  Lance looked up and saw some people from his family were here.

  He got up, put on a dignified air again and cleaned his clothes.

  "Mr Salo!"

  A few men in suits immediately surrounded him and looked at Ethan and Diane warily.

  "They're my friends, don't be so rude" Lance said.

  Ethan said nothing while Diane nodded slightly.

  "Mr Salo, something's going on" the bodyguard said without waiting for Lance to say anything. "Young Lady has been arrested and the family has sent people to rescue her. The clan leader wants us to send you home safely now!"

  "What did you say?!" Lance's face paled immediately. "What happened to my sister?"

  "He's been kidnapped by Japanese soldiers!" The expression of the bodyguard was grim.

  "These bastards!" Lance was furious. "How dare they!"

  They had put his name on their target list, and now they actually dared to kidnap his sister. Did they declare war?

  "Klan has sent people to negotiate with them, please don't worry, nothing will happen to Young Madam."

  "Omong empty!" shouted Lance. "Do you know how cruel those people are? I almost died at their hands! This bunch of bastards actually dared to attack my sister ?!"

  He was furious even though he knew he had to stay calm.

  He did not know why the Masamune Syndicate took such drastic measures. They had infiltrated the yacht, killed so many Third World members and now they had kidnapped someone from his family. What are they trying to do?

  Lance's phone suddenly rang.

  He frowned when he saw the number. Why would Jimmy call him now?

  "What do you want?" he snapped violently as he raised the call. He almost died on Jimmy's yacht, so he wouldn't be so polite to Jimmy.

  "Mr Salo, Jimmy spoke. I've heard about how your sister was kidnapped by the Masamune Syndicate" Jimmy said by phone. "Like this, I want to help Salo's family go to Japan to negotiate and bring him back. Please trust me and give me a chance!"
