Ethan never looked down on these people. In fact, many of them did not choose to become mercenaries for their own sake.
Most of them do this for their families and loved ones.
This region had become a playground for the Third World powers. For the sake of gaining more benefits, they could turn this place into a war zone, or they could turn this place into a total wasteland.
But the people living here had no choice at all.
There is no chance for them to be employed in any other industry. Who would dare to open a company or open a factory here?
They did not even have the right to approach the precious crude oil or mine even though they were the natives of this land.
Their only option was to become mercenaries and work for that great power. They had to use their own lives to fight for the benefits this power wanted for themselves.
They're actually very pathetic.
Most people don't know much about them, but Ethan knows how cruel this place is.
But he is not the messiah and cannot change the current situation here. That's not practical.
The only thing he can do is help those who trust him to live a better life.
He looked at the trench that had been dug outside the camp, the weapons collected and the thousand people divided into ten troops. Everything is ready and follow the instructions from above.
They were now all just waiting for the lieutenant to come with his men, and they couldn't wait to fight!
"We got word that the lieutenant is on his way, and he'll reach our camp in 30 minutes!" Malcolm had arranged for the informants to embed themselves along the way and inform him of the situation. He has gone through some fights like that and got better and better at it. It was as if he had found a new side of himself.
"They're very slow," Ethan shook his head. "Look at their eyes."
The soldiers were all armed and their eyes were reddened as their fingers were already on the trigger of their weapons. They can't wait to unlock the safety locks on their weapons.
But the enemy has not yet come.
If the lieutenant found out that the Merlyn family army had suddenly increased in number dramatically and the army was now filled with a large number of madmen, he might have chosen not to go out to fight.
"But that's not a bad thing. Let them wait. 30 minutes is enough for them to accumulate enough murder in their bodies."
"Mrs. Hunt, we don't need Brother Geoff and the others to launch an attack first?"
"No need," Ethan replied calmly. "We have an advantage in numbers. If we still lose, then you can prepare to die."
"It's not easy to get my money, you know."
Ethan is not a philanthropist.
Nearly a thousand people died at the hands of Ethan, and they were all very strong opponents. Ordinary people have no right to die at his hands.
There are no good people in war.
Ethan remained calm as always.
But Jasper sat on one side nervously. His breathing was getting faster and he could not sit still. He didn't know where to put his hands, so he continued to pick up cups to drink more water.
Malcolm was standing on the front line and fully armed. He had never experienced anything like this before, but with him right in front, all the soldiers behind him felt confident!
They are impatient!
"They're here!" Malcolm saw the Purple Moon Charge Army car in his binoculars.
He shouted softly and all the commanders next to him immediately gave a signal.
"Prepare to fight!"
The blood in these soldiers surged all over their bodies after waiting for so long, and a crazy glint shone in their bloodthirsty-looking eyes!
