"Why are you still standing there?"  Warwick saw his subordinates still standing dazed and mocking.  "Don't waste time, look now!"

"Yes sir!"

It's a great opportunity to befriend Ethan, so Warwick doesn't want to miss this opportunity.

"He failed."  The man in the middle lightly tapped his finger on the table and spoke after a moment of silence.  "He took our money but didn't do the job. That's not gonna work."

No one else said anything.  They all know that it's not just about being offended.  The real problem is that they really feel threatened.

Some of those scientists from China are definitely some of the best in the world.

The top three integrated circuits in Silicon Valley were also designed by them.  The brains of these people are precious!

These scientists think that they cannot return to China because their country cannot provide the right environment to conduct research, and they have to use a lot of connections to get started.

They've checked all these things before.

Your skills and abilities are not the most important thing in conducting research in China.  It is more important to praise the right people, get the right connections, and make the right people happy.

This was an insult to these talents, and it was tantamount to killing their talents.

That's how these big tech companies abroad managed to get these scientists.  But this Palmer Group seems to work differently.

And it makes them feel threatened!

They refuse to let anyone threaten their position, no matter what the cost.
