Harkness doesn't ask any more and just acts as Ethan's driver. He follows Ethan's directions and arrives at a certain place.
Harkness had been based in Europe for many years, but he had also never come to this place before.
It was a cemetery.
And it was a grave specially reserved for the old aristocratic families in the Third World.
But at a glance, it looked a little naked and did not really look like a grave to the richest and most powerful people in the world. Besides being large, it did not look too luxurious or luxurious.
In fact, it looked rather desolate.
There were leaves falling all over the ground, and they started to fly gently as the wind blew.
It was very naked and rather quiet.
True, a grave for such people should look very majestic.
After all, this was an old aristocratic family that would attach great importance to what happened to them after they died, and that was why they obtained such a large grave from the very beginning.
But it seems like no one is taking care of this place.
Harkness glanced at Ethan. "What the hell is going on?"
He could hardly believe what he saw.
"Are you sure this is the graveyard of those nobles?"
Ethan nodded.
"Five or six noble families are all buried here" Ethan said. "But only Salo is left now."
He turned around to look further into the grave and walked in without saying anything.
Harkness looked around before rushing after Ethan.
He still finds it hard to believe. If this place is very important, then at least one should sweep the leaves and clean the place.
From far away, they could smell the strong smell of alcohol blowing in the wind.
Someone's guarding this place.
Ethan walks to the other end and finds an old man with white hair and an unkempt beard sitting in a corner.
His clothes were messy and he looked dirty like a beggar. He smelled of alcohol and his disheveled demeanor would make most people avoid him.
His eyes were cloudy and it was hard to tell what he was thinking.
"This place doesn't have the people you're looking for, nor is it a beautiful place."
"I'm not looking for anyone and I'm just taking a walk" Ethan said. "And I thought I'd drink alone, too."
He picked up a beer bottle on the ground and shuffled it lightly to find that it was completely empty.
"Young man, this is not a place you can go to, and it's definitely not a place you should go to" said the flat grave keeper as he continued to stare at Ethan.
"Where should I go?"
"Where but here."
"But I'm already here. Since I'm here, I have to see it."
The grave guards fell silent for a moment before mocking lightly and leaning against the wall. He snorted, "Surely, go ahead and take a look. Don't bother me."
He closed his eyes and ignored them both.
"A strange old man," muttered Harkness softly.
He turns around to find that Ethan is gone, so he quickly runs to chase after him.
The funeral was huge.
It covered at least 1,000 square meters, and the distance between each tombstone was quite large. It was clear that even though these people were dead, they still wanted to ensure sufficient space for themselves.
"A cemetery that big has only one old man on guard, and he doesn't even clean this place up at all. It's shocking" Harkness said. "Ethan, do you think the old man was just a tramp?"
A grave guard should at least sweep through the place and make the area look neat and tidy.
Even the graves of ordinary people were well taken care of, let alone the graves of nobles.
Ethan says nothing and doesn't care about this at all. He continued to stomp on the fallen leaves as he looked at every tombstone he passed, as if he was looking for something special.
Each tombstone is engraved with the person's name, identity and life, so it is very clear who is buried where.
He looks at one and decides that this is not it, and goes on to the next. He continued walking even after five or six tombstones.
"What are you looking for?" harkness asked curiously as he followed behind Ethan.
"I'm looking for someone" Ethan said as he continued his search.
