"Mrs. Hunt, we're staying with a hundred of these weird guys." Jasper's voice was a little hoarse, disappointed and guilty.
"That's enough." Ethan nodded. There was no expression on his face, and it was impossible to say what he was thinking.
He stood in front of the soldiers and said in a loud voice, "Happy for making the right decision!"
All the soldiers looked up when he said this.
"Because you all chose to stay, that means you all have principles" Ethan said out loud. "Since you've decided to stay, it means you'll get more chances!"
He looked around and raised a finger.
"Fight soldiers of the Purple Moon Charge Army! You'll get US$10,000 for every soldier you kill!"
All of their eyes sparkled like bloodthirsty wolves when they heard this!
In this poverty-stricken land where human lives meant nothing, they had become mercenaries to earn as much income as they could to feed their families. Even if they became paralyzed or died in battle, at least this money would be enough to help their families to survive.
No one would choose this path if they did not have to.
"Are you serious?" ask one of them in a trembling voice.
"Of course I'm serious. When have we ever lied to you?" ethan says. "Each of your murders is worth US$10,000! There is no upper limit!"
They are all even more motivated now.
"Kill them!!" one of them suddenly shouted like a wild beast.
Loyalty means nothing! They were mercenaries who fought only for money!
Only money motivates them!
As long as you pay them enough, they are willing to sacrifice their lives.
That's the only way to survive in this place!
Jasper and his son held their breath. They knew that this was a reality in this region, but they had never really felt it until now.
This is the Middle East, the mercenary universe!
"Kill! Kill it! Kill it! Kill it!
It is a life for many lives.
It's very valuable.
"Let's go now!" malcolm shouted as he led them personally.
Their numbers were only a little over a hundred, so they only needed a few dozen vehicles and they headed straight to Halen's campground.
Jasper watched the cars leave and his body was still trembling.
"Mrs. Hunt, we're gonna win this battle, right?"
"of course. They just went there to tidy up the loose ends, and I just wanted to test them out" Ethan said calmly. "The Purple Moon Charge Army is nothing. In this place, only the strongest survive. I want to protect what I want, so I won't let anyone else set foot on my territory."
"Whoever tries will break his neck!"
Ethan's murderous aura made Jasper tremble.
This was the first time he had sensed the terrifying aura from Ethan.
This was the aura that a victor had in war. It was a fearless aura that peeked at everyone!
He felt like he could see that this war zone would not see peace for a while.
And that's all because Ethan's here.
There is no peace and quiet wherever Ethan goes!
"Mr Merlyn, it's time to get ready," Ethan said as he turned towards Jasper. "They'll be back in about three hours."
"Prepared?" Jasper is confused.
"Feature party!" ethan says. "And money, of course. We must keep our promises to them. They get US$10,000 for every soldier they kill!"
"How much should I prepare?" Jasper gulps.
"$2 million is enough," said Ethan calmly. "I had Geoff and the others leave 200 for them."
