Diane immediately slid out from under the covers, combed her hair properly and made sure her dress was not messy.
Right after he straightened himself up, he heard someone knocking on the door.
"Diane! Get down now!"
April's voice was as loud as thunder.
Diane glared at Ethan as she helplessly bit her lip.
It was impossible for him to stay in this house anymore.
Those who do not know better will think that this is Ethan's house and he is his daughter-in-law.
"Ha, you reap what you sow," he glared at Ethan. "You've always spoiled Mum, so now she's spoiling you so much!"
Diane got up and opened the door to see April holding a rolling pin and all ready to bang on the door.
"Mouuumm..."
"Shut up!" April put a finger on her lips and frowned. "Ethan spent so long working out there, so she must be very tired! Don't disturb his sleep!"
She dragged Diane out of the room and carefully closed the door behind her.
"Lady..." Diane turned her head back to see Ethan lying on the bed as if his soul had left her and she felt like crying but no tears came out of her eyes. He said with a little sympathy, "I didn't interrupt his sleep at all, he was sleeping like a child."
Sleep like a child…
Diane's voice echoed in Ethan's ears for a while.
He lay down on the bed and just sighed.
After a long time, his emotions and body finally calmed back down.
Ethan takes a shower, changes his clothes and goes downstairs. He could smell the chicken soup coming from the kitchen.
"Ethan, you're awake! I've boiled chicken soup for you, I'll get it for you now!" april said with a bright smile as she walked back to the kitchen to bring out the soup.
He only had one bowl in hand, but after he saw Diane staring at him from the sofa, he paused for a moment and returned to the kitchen to pick up another one.
"You should drink too. Ethan, eat more chicken."
He scoops the soup from the pot and the smell of the soup hits his nostrils.
Ethan scoops a bowl of soup, then turns to look at Diane. "Wife, come and eat soup. I boiled this specially for you."
"Oh really? Mrs Palmer?" Diane grunts quietly. "You boiled this for me?"
"Of course," Ethan said with a smile. "You have to condition your body well because I want a grandchild."
April laughed out loud.
"I know you're all busy with work and it's up to the two of you when you want to have kids. But I'm really looking forward to it."
She had nothing else to do at home other than take care of some of the adults in this house, so she was looking forward to helping take care of her grandchildren.
Ethan is tough and Diane is beautiful. Their children would definitely be an amazing combination!
April looked at the two of them and was very confident that their children would be smart and handsome!
"Mother..." Diane immediately blushed.
How could her mother talk about giving birth to a child in person?
"The two of you should have at least one male and one female. You can also have a few more, since we were able to raise them!"
April doesn't care.
They were all adults, so there was nothing to be ashamed of. Besides, having children is important.
The more he thought about it, the more excited he became. His eyes are shining so bright now.
"You two are nothing in the afternoon, right?" April looks at Ethan and Diane.
"N-it's okay, we're taking a break today." Dian pursed her lips.
"Then don't come out today. It's hot outside, so you two better rest in your own room and not go anywhere. I'll send you dinner later!"
Ethan almost spewed out chicken soup.
