The clan leader was stunned for a moment before he laughed bitterly and shook his head at all of them.
He knew today would happen, but when it actually happened, he still felt disappointed.
He was the leader of the clan, but he did not possess the authority that a clan leader should have.
The entire clan had betrayed him, and there was probably no one around him that he could trust anymore.
"You didn't do anything wrong, you just weren't capable enough" Reagan said with a quick glance. "Just enjoy your old age."
He did not kill the clan leader not because Reagan felt generous, but because this clan leader posed no threat and was not worth the effort.
After the meeting was over, Reagan left.
A few men in black had been waiting in the living room for some time.
Reagan seemed to shine brightly as he sat down and looked at the people in front of him. It seemed like her aura shone after the meeting and she did not bother to hide it anymore.
"Have you got it back?" Reagan clearly refers to the manual.
"Not yet." His subordinate's response made his expression instantly fall.
"We searched the entire clan but we couldn't find the manual at all."
"Jimmy was dead and died of poisoning. We're still trying to trace where the manual went."
"Idiot is useless!" curse Reagan while slamming the table.
He dares to give Jimmy a manual because he's sure he'll get it back.
But now?
He did not get the Masamune Syndicate and the manual was lost. It was as good as saying that he had lost all his bargaining tools.
And get nothing in return!
"We'll investigate this as soon as possible!"
"Investigate now!" Reagan was furious.
Having a manual meant he would have a bargaining tool to bargain with other Third World powers or the other party.
It may even have other uses in the future.
He made it this far because he had a better foresight than most people.
"We've been watching Jimmy ever since he came out of Salo's castle and he never left the house. The only one who left was one of his bodyguards."
"What?" Reagan's eyes became alert again. "You didn't keep an eye on the bodyguard?"
He could feel that something bad had happened.
"We. can't follow."
The subordinates are confused too.
They had sent three people to follow the bodyguard, but they soon lost him and could not even find any traces.
The Toney family has never had anyone this great before.
Reagan got it.
He sneered and while he looked angry, he did not explode.
"It looks like we can't get the manual back at the moment" he said flatly. "Of course, we still have a copy."
"Do you want us to get Lana back?"
Reagan narrowed his eyes.
He's the one who arranged the manual copy to be tattooed on Lana. He had done that before just in case something like this happened.
He did not care about the contents of the manual because he could not understand it at all, but it was extremely valuable to some, so it could be one of his bargaining tools.
"Give me the copy!" reagan.
"Yes, Mr. Salo!"
The subordinate quickly went to finish it.
There was a chance that he would not get his manual back, and even if he wanted it back, it would be time consuming and other things. Reagan was not stupid and never put his hopes in just one place.
Getting a copy back is enough, even if it is not as valuable as the original.
"The Salo family will definitely be the most powerful in the Third World!"
That was his goal, and therefore, everyone in the clan supported him. His ambition and drive was much stronger than that of the clan leader.
