Mother is Not a Night Woman

Mother is Not a Night Woman
Prologues

A marriage should be a new chapter in one's life, not least for Alviana Andini. A young woman who will be married by an adult man named Wiratama Abhimanyu Sudarmadi.

With the white kebaya increasingly radiating the aura of her beauty, Via sat at the side of the man who would soon be her husband. The hateful glances of the Hero were directed at him, which made the woman look down in fear.

"I accept the marriage and marriage of Alviana Andini Binti Adam with a dowry a set of prayer equipment paid in cash." The loud voice of Wira sounded so melodious saying ijab qabul. Via closed his eyes for a moment with teardrops drenching his face. Several marriage witnesses were present calling for the word lawful.

His hands stretched out, about to greet the husband. But what Via obtained was not like other brides, there was no smile, no soft kiss on the forehead.

The wedding night that was supposed to be the most beautiful night for Via turned out to be the saddest night of his life. How not, he was abandoned on the first night of his wedding. The handsome man who had just become her husband hated her so much and vowed to make Via live like hell.

The hatred of Vira on Via is not without reason. With the nickname as a cheap woman, Wira unceasingly insulted Via who she knew was working as a comfort woman.

If you can choose, Via does not even want to set foot into a mud pit that tarnishes the value of her purity as a woman.

Vira decides to marry Via in order to keep her father away from Via's temptation, which she suspects is her father's mistress. What makes Wira seem to not believe is that her father was very supportive of her decision to marry the woman that night.

"Never dream of being my real wife. Dirty women like you are not even worthy of any man" Wira said, pushing Via's body into a shabby mattress.

As powerful as possible, Via held back his tears from falling. There is still a belief in the heart that God never sleeps. There will be a miracle for him. Only prayer and hope strengthened him, that one day the Spirit would soften his heart.

However, Wira's words seemed to incise an incision in the heart of the fragile girl. The defenses he built collapsed holding lara in heart, while Wira left him in a narrow room more worthy of being called a warehouse. His pill cry broke the silence of the night, the silence as if hugging him tightly.

"Wira, you're getting drunk. Go home! Isn't it your bridal night. You should have enjoyed your first night at home with your wife instead of getting drunk here" said Ivan, a friend of Wira.

"Haha, you know why I married that woman that night, Van. I married her only to avenge my heartache on my father. How could she have cheated on him with that cheap lady, while my mom was sick."

"But your father is not that kind of person. Maybe you're wrong, girl."

"I've seen the evidence, Van. I saw them coming out together from the night entertainment venue" he replied confidently. "She's a disgusting woman, and you're telling me to go home instead? I'd rather drink here" said Wira whose voice had begun to weigh.

"Stop this! Come on, I'll take you home!"

"No! I don't even want to see that cheap woman's face. To me he's very disgusting" he said, chugging a drink.

"Then rest at my house. How's it?" hail Ivan again.

For a moment the man frowned, a sign of thinking about something.

"Allah ... Please help me stand up. My head feels heavy."

Ivan took Wira out of the place and brought her home to rest.

Via PoV

Today was the first time I set foot in the home of the man who has officially become my husband, Mas Wira. A cold man, a little arrogant, grumpy and stiff.

Wira has been married before. I heard a few years ago his first wife left with their first child and demanded a divorce. I don't know, I don't know for sure either.

All I know is that Mas Wira looks down on me because of my previous job. I used to work as a comfort woman. Not without reason, I'm willing to be a woman of the night. To pay for my adopted daughter's treatment, Lyla.

My little girl is now 4 years old. He has leukemia. Lyla was diagnosed with the deadly disease when she was one year old. And ever since then I've been struggling to pay for her treatment, all alone. I have lived in Mother's Orphanage since I was a baby. That's why I don't know who my parents are.

Seeing the condition of Lyla's body that is getting weaker and weaker makes my heart seem squeezed, how a child as small as himself can survive against the deadly disease. His weak body was not even able to shackle his spirit to continue to survive. His body was fragile, but his spirit lit up like the sun. She never even cried even when she felt pain.

If a weak child like Lyla can fight her pain, why can't I fight to pay for her expensive treatment. I swear to myself, I'll do anything for my little Lyla. I will fight hard for him.

And the harsh reality is, I can't possibly afford Lyla's treatment while I'm just a regular employee at a boutique. Sometimes I take overtime jobs, even if the pay is not much.

One day I got a job offer from a friend during my school days, Laras. It offers jobs with lucrative income. Because I'm just a high school graduate, so only a job with a salary that's not too big I can get.

With sparkling eyes, I asked Laras what work he was doing. I really want to get a decent job with a big salary to be able to finance Lyla's treatment

"Not so hard. Your job is to just accompany your guests to sit down and please them" he explained.

I silently listened to his brief explanation. Is there a job that just accompanies someone sitting down and makes him happy? What kind of job is that, I thought.

"Just accompany sitting, and then get paid that much?" askaku who do not understand the explanation Laras.

"Yes, if you want more, you can serve them. Once they are satisfied, they will give you a big bonus" Laras added later.

I froze back. Slowly I began to guess what kind of job my friend was offering. With a raging feeling I ventured to ask him again.

"Ap... What do you mean this job is to be a comfort woman so?" many doubt.

"Yes.right. What kind of work can I get with an SMP diploma?"

I widened my eyes in disbelief. It turns out that my friend has been working as a comfort woman. No, I can't take the offer even if I need to. With complete confidence I refused the job offer my friend told me.

However, something else happened, Lyla's health condition worsened. But we don't have enough money for treatment.

Doctors said Lyla could be helped by a spinal cord transplant from a donor's parents or siblings. While I have absolutely no idea who Lyla's real parents are, where they are, and why they dumped my poor Lyla.

I also thought back to the offer of Laras. Forcibly, I went to Laras to offer myself and plead for the job.

God, why does it seem like fate is pulling me into that black hole. It was like I was going to sink into deep black mud.

My steps were heavy, even breathing was difficult. However, this is the only option I can make to treat Lyla. Laras also introduced me to a man who was the boss of the owner of an entertainment venue.

And my story of being a woman the night begins ....
