Mother is Not a Night Woman

Mother is Not a Night Woman
Lyla prefers dolls over Mommy!

In an office building ...

The day had gone up in the afternoon when Wira was still busy with busy work. His gaze continued to be directed at the laptop screen, but his mind drifted elsewhere. The man was still filled with guilt for the day before scolding Lyla who was playing in her son's room. For some reason there was a feeling of sadness, as she looked at Lyla's frightened face. And, that feeling made the Hero unable to concentrate, even last night unable to sleep due to the shadow of Lyla's innocent face.

He rubbed his face with both palms, then leaned his back for a moment, while raising his head upwards. Already several times Wira tried to eliminate the strange feeling in the heart, but the shadow of Lyla still popped in his mind.

Not wanting the shadow to continue to haunt, Wira chose to refocus on her work.

Without feeling the time passes so quickly. Two hours just passed. The hero glanced at the clockwise direction on his wrist which already showed at six in the afternoon. He took a deep breath, before tidying up his desk, and rushed out of his room.

As usual, before returning home, Wira will stop by a favorite restaurant. He never once ate at home, even though Via always prepared food for him. Meeting Via alone is lazy, let alone having to eat his cooking. But that day felt empty. The hero does not even taste to eat even though he has ordered the menu he likes the most.

What is this, what is it with me? Have I gone too far? Why all day I keep thinking about the sad face of the boy.

Without touching the food menu in front of him, Wira left, leaving the restaurant owned by his friend.

Cars are back on the streets of the capital. Wira's face looks no spirit, until his attention is fixed on a child toy store. I don't know why, something like pulling him there. The hero immediately pulled over his car, and stopped in front of the big store. The hero was silent for a while before finally getting out of the car and stepping inside the large store.

Slowly Wira stepped, with both eyes glancing around, like looking for something. A female shop employee approached him.

"Excuse me, Mr ... Can anyone help?" ask the store employee.

"I'm looking for a Barbie doll. If there is a blue shirt," Wira told the female employee.

"Oh, that's Princess Elsa. Come with me." The woman went to a shelf, and showed me some pretty Barbie dolls.

A thin smile appeared on the handsome face of the 30-year-old man. Even he himself did not understand, why imagining the face of Lyla who would be very happy if given a beautiful doll that made his feelings warm. It is a feeling that is hard to explain.

"Please pack this!" pinta Wira on a female employee.

"Good, Sir ... Please go to the cashier!" he answered while pointing in one direction, where the cashier was.

After making the payment, Wira came out of the toy store. Again a feeling that was difficult to understand by him was present just like that. It was impatient to see Lyla's reaction when given the toy she had long wanted. Without waiting again, Wira drove the car to go home immediately.

It only took fifteen minutes, Wira had arrived home. However, for a while, the man remained silent in the car, occasionally glancing at the doll he had just bought.

"How do I give it to the boy? If I were to give him straight away, he would have been big-headed and thought I liked him." The hero muttered to himself. "Ah, stop!" He got out of the car, holding a paper bag in his hand.

The hero stepped into the house slowly, so that his leg was not heard by anyone. He immediately headed for the back room, where Via and Lyla were usually located. From a distance not so far away, Lyla was seen alone in the room playing her old Barbie doll. The innocent face of the little girl always made the Hero washed away. And without much more waiting, he headed to the front of the room with a sneak.

He placed the box containing the Barbie doll in front of the room, then stepped away afterwards.

"Bundaa .." came Lyla's voice calling from the room. "Lyla wants milk, Mother!"

Silence, no authorization. The little girl stepped out, looking for her mother.

"Yes, Honey. Wait yes ... Mother make the milk," said Via from the kitchen.

A few minutes later, Lyla stepped out. While in the doorway, his gaze was fixed on a blue box lying on the floor. Curious, little Lyla immediately grabbed the thing. His pale face instantly turned sparkling, when he realized what was in his grasp.

"Well, plinsyess doll! Mother bought this for Lyla, yes .." murmured with a face full of happiness. He hugged the box happily. His smile is like the sun.

Behind a pillar, Wira smiled at the little girl who was feeling very happy. It was like feeling Lyla's happiness.

Not long after, Via came from the direction of the kitchen with a glass of milk. He immediately approached the little girl who was sitting playing on the floor.

"Thank Mother. Mommy bought this plinsyess doll for Lyla yes," he said while showing the doll to his mother. "See Mother, the doll is nice, the doll syepelti in the upper kamal. Walna Bilu's clothes are like Lyla's. Lyla wants to wear Lyla's clothes that are like this, yes Mother. Bial's like his doll."

Via furrowed her brows a confused sign, "Lyla got that doll from where, honey?"

"The phone is here, Mother!" Lyla pointed at the floor, where she found the doll. "This is Mommy who bought Lyla, huh? Lyla likes it, Mother. The doll is good shekali," he said excitedly.

Via still looks confused, but he is still trying to keep smiling. "Honey, drink milk first, yeah ..." Give the child a glass of milk. And immediately, Lyla finished the milk and grabbed back the doll.

While rubbing the remaining milk attached to the little girl's lips, Via asked, "Lyla right, can this doll on the floor?"

"Yes, Mother."

Did Mas Wira bring this doll to Lyla? But how is it possible. I don't like Lyla. It was impossible for Mas Wira to buy this doll for Lyla. This doll must be very expensive. But if not Mas Wira, then who else said Via inward.

Via rubbed her little girl's hair, "But the doll wasn't the mother who bought it, dear. Mommy doesn't have money to buy."

"Teyus who bought Lyla this doll, Mother?"

"Maybe Om Wira bought Lyla. Look, Om Wira is not evil. Om Good man with Lyla. Proof, Lyla bought this doll."

Instantly, the smile that adorned the little girl's face dimmed. The happiness that was emanated on his face was gone somewhere. With a sad face, he put the box containing the doll back in its original place, when he found it.

"Why, Honey?" ask Via.

"Lyla doesn't like her dolls, Mother." His little hand grabbed back his worn doll on the floor. "Lyla prefers the doll that you love to Lyla. It's better" he said, hugging his doll.

"But Lyla has long wanted a doll like this ..." Via grabbed back the doll box, but Lyla immediately shook her head.

"No way, Mother. Lyla wants to play the doll that Mother loves. Lyla doesn't want that!"

From a safe distance, Wira leaned her back behind the pillar. There was a deep pain, when Lyla refused the doll. Both his eyes were glazed over. The man did not even understand, why such a strange feeling could exist in his heart. He glanced back in that direction, where Via tried to persuade Lyla. However, Lyla still rejected the doll and chose her obsolete doll.
