Mother is Not a Night Woman

Mother is Not a Night Woman
Must Be Open to Each Other

The time had already shown at ten p.m. when Wira had just arrived home. Like a good wife, Via always welcomes her husband by kissing the back of his hand. Even with the Hero who will reply with a kiss on the forehead and a short hug.

"Why is the night coming home, Mas?" tanya Via while helping Wira take off her suit and tie.

"I'm overtime. Work is crowded, I'll send the message earlier," he replied casually.

"really? I haven't seen him. Have you had dinner yet?"

"Already, Honey. It was with Ivan," he said. "It seems like you're very busy today. Until I don't answer my calls."

"Not really, Mom. Lyla's not gonna be left behind."

"Don't want to be left?" The look on his face suddenly looked worried. He glanced at Lyla who had fallen asleep under the blanket. "Is Lyla sick?"

Via nodded slowly. "No, Mas. It's just that Sister Shera came here to see Lyla. But that's it, Lyla's still too scared."

The two eyebrows of Wira pucker up to hear Via's speech. "Shera's here?" her tanyanya was accompanied by a nod of the head by Via. "But he didn't make trouble, did he? He didn't mess with you or Lyla?"

Hearing the question, Via ventured into the eyes of the husband. Smiling, Via replied. "No, Mas. It's just ..." Via looked doubtful, making Wira take him to a sofa in the corner of the room.

"What's wrong?" ask Wira.

"There's something I want to talk about, Mom."

"What's that?" ask the Hero with his hands coiled around Via's waist.

"Just take a shower? Let me get the warm water ready. We need to talk to a cool head, right?"

"Well, I'll take a shower first."

Again the hero gave a kiss on the forehead. Via and Shera are two very different women. If Shera is indifferent, then Via is very gentle and attentive. In the past Shera never even cared about Wira, instead Via took care of her very well.

After bathing and changing clothes, Wira headed to the balcony, where Via was sitting while daydreaming. The view is directed at the garden decorated with beautiful lights. Suddenly a soft clap landed on the young woman's shoulder, which made her daydream disappear.

A thin smile still adorned the plain face of the woman. "Mas, shouldn't a couple be open to each other and not keep anything secret?"

"Yes. Should have ..."

"Then can we open up to each other without any secrets between us?"

The hero who still did not catch where the direction of the conversation Via responded with a nod of his head.Hands outstretched caressing his wife's face. "What's wrong? Just say it."

Silently, Via was still confused. I don't know where to start to say what's been bothering him since. Until a moment later, he took a deep breath, as if he was gathering courage. "It looks like Sister Shera wants Mas again. Last afternoon at the park, he said he'd take Mas Wira and Lyla back."

Wira closed her eyes, sighing deeply. "It turns out that my guess is correct" he said, making both Via's eyebrows furrow.

"meaning?" ask Via.

The hero grabbed Via's fingers and grasped them tightly. "I told you I know Shera more than anyone. Shera is a woman full of obsession. He asked for a second chance from me."

Although it felt tight, but Via tried to strengthen his heart. Although as bitter as anything, he will try to accept the reality if the Hero wants to return to Shera.

"Mas ... I knew and realized what the reason we got married was. Our marriage takes place only because of our personal interests. Without the bond of love. And it can't be forced. I know, my position in Mas Wira's heart is nothing more than a woman who has taken care of Lyla." Via glanced at Wira with a sad look. "Does Mas Wira still love Sister Shera?"

The hero was stunned to hear the question. However, he still smiled faintly, with his hand gripping ever tighter. "Darling ... I know where you're going. You want to say, I can go back to Shera? That so?"

Via speechless. However, in the heart it feels raging. Shera's threat really worries her. "It's not so, Mom. It's just, I think Mas Wira is still---"

"I'm sorry. You're right a couple should be open to each other. I can't forget the pain Shera's doing. But that doesn't mean I still love him and want to come back." The speech of the Hero made Via look back at him. This time with teary eyes. "I just can't forget the disappointment of his betrayal. About what Shera wants, I don't care at all. Now what matters to me is you and Lyla. Just the two of you. I know, between us there may not be love. But isn't love going to grow by itself because of togetherness?"

Via nodded. He also admitted in his heart has not loved the Hero wholeheartedly, other than because of his obligations as a wife.

"I'm just afraid Sister Shera will take Lyla away from me" said Via with her head lowered. He held back tears so as not to fall. "Lyla is everything to me, Mom."

"That's not gonna happen. Me and Lyla are yours."

"Mine?"

"Yes, and always will be. Shera came to the office and asked for the same thing. But I refused it. Maybe that's why he came here and threatened you." The hero cupped Via's face and looked at him deeply. "But I'm sure you won't be easily fooled by Shera."

Via smile. He remembered the incident earlier this afternoon in which he slapped a hard slap into Shera's face. "No, Mas. I'm just saying that if Mas Wira chose him, then that means Mas Wira belongs to him."

"good. Because I won't be trapped again by a woman like her."

Finally, a smile of relief rose on Via's face. She put her head on her husband's chest.

"You know one thing ... I admit, I have to thank Shera for throwing Lyla away. So that I can get away from him, and find a wife as good as you are" Wira said.
