“I won't ask why you chose to turn around instead of coming to court first just going to the hospital. But, I wonder, since you guys got divorced, do you still meet your ex-lover often?” Papa Danzel already knows the answer. But, he just wanted to test Gerald's honesty.

“I'll take good care of Cathleen.” Gerald tried to convince Mr. Pattinson to give him permission.
“Not that I don't believe you. But, I'm judging how your ex-lover ended tragically. As a parent, I don't want that to happen to my daughter.”
“Can't you change your mind?”
“If you want to stay twenty-four hours with Cathleen, stay in my mansion, there are many empty rooms.”
Gerald can only accept Mr. Pattinson's decision. Want to argue can actually make him lose the golden opportunity. After all, he understood Papa Danzel's unrest. “After this I will take my things.”
