Members of Cosa Nostra who came with Gerald began combing through the forest near Gretta's safe house. Who knew Edbert was nearby, managed to escape before the fire devoured the wooden-topped house.
While Gerald, he's still in front of the fire. The red flames had spread evenly until Gretta's hideout was no longer home-shaped because it was made of wood so it was easier for the fire to spread quickly.
“Call the fire department, immediately!” gerald's Order. He had to keep trying to ascertain whether Edbert was a victim or not.
“Good.”
Waiting for the fire department to arrive, Gerald approached Edbert's car. Who knows if there's someone in there. He peered out of the window, looking closely. But, empty.
A rough sigh escaped from Gerald's lips with both hands ruffled by the waist. “I hope you survived.”
Gerald didn't stay silent, he went to look for signs around there. There may be traces of Edbert left behind. But it's impossible to search inside the flames because it's not safe for now.
Until the time began to show the night, Gerald did not get any sign. Either footprints, blood, and stuff. Feelings increasingly unpleasant and tend towards the former rival also eaten by the red jago.
“Fire has been successfully extinguished, Sir, do you not want to check?” One of the members of Cosa Nostra came to Gerald in the middle of the forest to tell it.
“Ya.” Gerald soon returns to Gretta's former hideout. Already shapeless, wood has become charcoal, although there are some that have not.
An hour before Gerald searched, there might be Edbert's body. He will carry and bury as he should. But, unfortunately, there was only the rest of the bone.
“It looks like the fire has burned their bodies to ashes,” muttered Gerald. That's what he believes at the moment, because there's no other sign, except for the car tyre, definitely from Edbert's vehicle.
The sky is dark, Gerald invites the members of Cosa Nostra to return to the headquarters.
“Car Mr Edbert how?” ask one of them.
“Let it here, who knows Edbert is still alive and he needs a vehicle to return,” Gerald replied. Although he was not too sure, there was at least the possibility of the man surviving even though it was very small.
Gerald and the rest of the army returned to Cosa Nostra headquarters. After arriving, he went straight to the room to meet Cathleen who had been worried since.
Hearing that the door was open, Cathleen immediately gave Faydor to Geraldine. While approaching her husband.
“You're home with Edbert, ‘kan?” Cathleen asked with teary eyes and a slightly trembling voice. He wasn't ready to listen to an answer that didn't go his way.
Head Gerald shook his head. “Sorry, I came there very late, and did not find Edbert.”
Cathleen's legs suddenly limp, not strong enough to hold the body to stand. She sank down and ended up crying again. “Ed, you did not keep your promise to return safely.”
Gerald slowly crouched down, pulling the wife's body into his arms. “Sorry.” Not felt, his eyes also glazed. Although Edbert was a rival. But, he felt lost.
