Contract renewals and our move to my own home also affected my agenda which was Rubby's benchmark in work.
A lot of things and activities were dropped from the agenda. The task reduction is not without reason. My health condition has started to improve, so Rubby does not need to help me too much in doing some things. He just needs to help me with important tasks.
This afternoon everything went well and well. However, some things did not go well.
Rubby looked moody alone on the edge of the pool.
These days he is less focused on the work he is doing.
Not long after, Agatha came there. The two talked to each other, not knowing what they were talking about. Agatha is also moody with Rubby.
They seem to be planning something. I let out a breath, letting whatever was done by them.
Jaden Arshon moved from his seat. He walked towards me then showed me a piece of paper.
"Sir, there are some things to do. So the contract renewal is required for Miss Rubby. Do you approve it?"
"Retail the best." I put my shoulders together, let them do their job.
I got out of the wheelchair, made everyone in the room come near me.
"Look easy. I can move a few steps."
"Damian says if you can't be too tired." Said Laurent who was prepared not far from me in case I fell.
I just nodded as I continued walking away from the window.
"Jaden, don't be so hard on him. He's got a soft heart, if you're too hard it can make him feel uncomfortable."
I walked towards the bookshelf located not far from where I was.
Looking for a book I want to read.
Distract me from others by reading.
I don't want to know anything for today, I'm just going to spend my time alone without taking care of anything else.
If you think about it, I'm actually still confused by something.
Why I care so much about Ruby.
And why is there a feeling of wanting to protect the girl.
From the beginning, Jaden Arshon said that he did not trace Rubby's background.
He was just looking for someone who would work with me through his partner.
In the end, Rubby was Jaden Arshon's partner of choice. And highly recommended by him.
The recommendations of his colleague Jaden Arshon are also not mistaken. The innocent girl was always ready to help and always appeared cheerful.
She was very sweet, yet she always hid a cry.
Whatever it was, I never thought further. Because there are still many dependents that I have to finish.
"Where's Damian?" I set my eyes on Laurent who asked Damian where he was with Dave.
The man named Dave was raising his shoulders.
"So he was with his partner, discussing what it was."
I went back to reading, though vaguely their chatter sounded.
The more I read, I felt a little saturated.I stared at the writing in the book, back late in my mind.
If it wasn't for that incident, I wouldn't have been able to meet that unique and mysterious girl.
But who exactly is that girl. Should I trace Rubby's background to his roots?

Today is not the same as the days before. Everything becomes quiet.
From the beginning we were here, Rubby was just daydreaming. He became a silent figure when accompanying me to bask in the sun.
He who used to always try to talk to me, this time we kept quiet.
He looks disappointed at something. His face seemed to represent his feelings. He felt like he had just been lied to and betrayed by someone.
Maybe this has something to do with the new contract awarded by Jaden Arshon. It seems like he objected to the contents of the contract that Jaden Arshon had made. What did they update to the point that Rubby thought about it while on duty?
Because basically, I don't like rules and things that force others.
"Maybe you don't want to talk to me. But, this time I want to force you to talk."
The girl raised her voice after a long time of creating silence between us.
He got up from his seat and knelt before me.
He revealed his heart which had troubled him.
He pulled my hand, grasped it tightly.
Rubby lowered his head, emanating from his eyes an impatient feeling and unwilling to give up.
If noticed by her tone, she placed a hope on me.
"Can you change the contract? You can, I know that." He said a little whispering.
He continued his sentence with a trembling tone.
Rubby lowered his head until he came into contact with my fingers.
I gently rubbed Rubby's head.
I smiled at her, in the end the girl was able to share her feelings with others.
With teary eyes, she looked up and looked at me in disbelief.
The tears that made me feel more and more compassionate and made me want to wipe away those tears.
He let go of the hand he had held since.
Quiet and did not respond to anything other than a strange look for me.
"Sorry." I smiled more and more at the girl with tears welling up on those cheeks.
"I didn't mean to trouble you."
The girl was silent, as if she could not believe what she was looking at.
"Rubby."
I called him once more to break the silence between us.
I smiled at the girl.
"Are you really talking to me?"
Rubby rubbed his tears violently as he spoke. He looks pissed at me.
"Why are you talking now?"
The girl was a bit whining. He was showing more and more his feelings.
"Can you take me inside?" Rubby nodded slowly.
That young girl really worries me.
I asked him to go back to his room and rest. With a blank look the girl went to the room.
I'll just let him calm down.
Next is Rubby's contract.
Perhaps more than that, I should check the contracts of the other workers.
I asked Dave to call Jaden Arshon to come see me in the study.
The fierce man came with a small bag.
"Have you any results? What about the others?
Jaden Arshon took some stuff out of the bag. Show me something valuable. The clue I was looking for as the key to finding someone who should be in our custody.
But everything was still gray, as if covered up by the other party.
