"You telling? I'll just listen."
Oscar looked at Grace closely. So far no one has offered what Grace has to offer her. He never told her that he would share his story with someone. A story that he thought was a disgrace, not a fun topic of conversation.
Oscar's used to keeping everything. The problem with Jimmy has happened over and over again. It is not something new that causes stress. His quarrel with Jimmy was like a daily meal, there was nothing to be dizzy about. He was happy to see Jimmy blood up. Wondering when Jimmy's gonna die. Really, he was looking forward to it.
"You can be trusted?" Oscar doesn't trust Grace. His and Jimmy's quarrel is also not something that should be kept secret. He just wanted to tease Grace, seeing the girl's reaction when in doubt.
"If you doubt me, you don't have to tell me" There's no affirmation that he's a trustworthy person. There was no overreaction indicating that Grace was offended.
Oscar was unmoved, quite surprised by the reaction Grace gave. He has known Grace for a long time but has never been close in person.
"Is there something wrong with my face, Oscar?" all over his hot body found Oscar's bead looking at him closely. Grace could also feel a red hue would soon appear on her cheek if Oscar did not rush to turn his face away.
Oscar shook his head casually, "I didn't find any rash marks on your cheeks."
"Helli's given me a pretty powerful drug." Grace held both cheeks. Warm.
"My relationship with my father never got along. Get used to the view."
"I don't know what your problem is with Mr. Lawrece. And it seems you don't want to tell me either. Doesn't matter. I'm not gonna dig into your problems. But, Oscar, can I say something?"
"Please,"
"Have you taken a shower?"
Oscar knitted his brows. Confused to answer that unexpected question.
"That's the question, Grace. Do I smell so bad?" Oscar sniffed his body, there was no pungent stench. However, the smell of alcohol is still clearly smelled.
"No. No. gabe. You're very fragrant. I like the smell. The smell without alcohol."
If another woman had said that, praising the smell, perhaps Oscar would have taken it as an appeal or invitation to bed.
"Yes, I attended a party and got caught up."
"There must be a lot of women."
"Beautiful woman, sexy and seductive. I'm not denying."
"That's why your buttons are open. You forgot to button it back up."
Oscar laughed embarrassedly, "Sometimes such situations are out of control. But can you forget about that. I hate it when it doesn't look cool" Oscar shrugged both shoulders.
"Does drinking make you calmer?"
"I just found myself getting dizzy" she said honestly. Yes, basically, those illicit drinks only add to the problem. Alcohol is not a solution.
"Then why are you consuming it?"
"Eitherway. By the way, have you met Dulce?" Oscar deliberately changed the topic. He is not used to hearing advice and he does not like being advised. Oscar is also not used to sharing his personal problems with others. It's very uncomfortable.
"Dulce? No, I haven't met him. Has the rash on his face healed?"
"Yes, just like you, today he's back in school."
"The sweet child. We'll meet on the weekend. If your mood has improved, what if we go down and get back to work."
"I'm going home to get dressed" Oscar stood up, brushing off the dust in his pants. Then he reached out, helping Grace to stand up.
Grace flashed a big smile, "Thank you for sacrificing your suit to sit on."
"Geez, have you always been this sweet, Grace?"
"Sweet? In your eyes I'm sweet?" this time Grace could not avoid a red tinge appearing on her cheek.
"Yes, like a very adorable white rabbit."
"Rabbit?" the smile on his face slowly faded away. Hearing the word rabbit, he remembered Damian who also described himself with the small mammal.
"Eh, don't you like being equated with rabbits?"
"I feel that I'm more agile than him."
At least Oscar is more sensitive than that handsome widower. Yes, Oscar is the best.
"Have you checked my schedule today?"
"Yes, you have a meeting with Gavin at three in the afternoon. Is your cooperation going well?" Grace also doesn't know about this meeting if Gavin doesn't contact her while she's about to leave for work. He did not get to meet Gavin at the dinner table because he left before his brother got out of the room. Grace was so excited to see Oscar that she left too early.
"Oh, yeah, I almost forgot about it. Yeah, Gavin called me a few days ago, accepted the cooperation offer I proposed a few months ago."
____
"Good afternoon, Mr. Vasquez." Grace immediately stood up from her seat, welcoming the newly arrived Gavin right at 15:00. Ck! Time is full of calculations. He and Oscar arrived 15 minutes ago.
If not in front of Oscar, Gavin is already out of his mouth. He had to hold back until they met at home later. Now, it's time to catch Oscar's attention by showing his reliable performance. He has to act professionally.
However, it seemed like his determination was going to be crushed by his own brother. Gavin clucked and brushed off his hand. Her husband also raised an amused gaze that almost made Grace crashing and prying her eyes.
"Ludicrous trite, "Gavin pulled up the chair and immediately sat down.
"I've ordered coffee for you, Mr. Vasquez. Black coffee with a little sugar."
"Curriedly... Did you educate her like this?" Gavin asked Oscar who had been watching in silence the interaction of the two brothers.
"Grace is very reliable."
The Oscar's praise made him a big head. Gavin again and again ruined his mood with a look that looked like he was mocking him.
"Geez, you don't seem to accept that I get compliments."
"I'd be proud if you deserved it. But, yes, I have to admit, your appearance is pretty okay."
Grace puffed out her chest proudly, "Of course. Helli chose this outfit for me to wear."
"My wife is the best."
"She's not coming with you, by the way?"
"He needs a break. And maybe he's sleeping."
"What is the purpose of this meeting? Sign the contract? Then just sign it let's get it done quickly."
"God! I suggest you find a replacement soon, man. He's just gonna ruin your business."
Oscar who noticed the interaction of the two felt quite amused.
