Gavin looked at the wall clock that was already pointing to the number eight fitting. Then he turned his head back towards the stairs, there was no sign that Helli was awake.
Helli also skipped dinner, ignoring the moment Gavin knocked on his bedroom door even as Gavin said if Addrian came to drop off his belongings, Helli remained silent. Finally Gavin put the girl's bag in front of the room door. When he woke up, the bag was no longer in front of the door.
"Is he really angry and sulking?" Gavin monologued, staring back at the stairs in the hope that Helli had appeared to show him the trunk of his nose.
"Shall I go back upstairs and wake him up? It's possible that the alarm didn't sound on time."
Gavin crossed the main hall into the stairs. Only at the first step did he turn back.
"If I interrupt her sleep, she might get angrier."
The man left the stairs, walking towards the kitchen. He had an appointment with his family for breakfast. It seems that he had to cancel the promise. Gavin pulls out a cell phone to call his father.
"Yes, Son?"
"Dad, it looks like I can't join for breakfast. Tell Mom I'm sorry."
"Mom heard you, you son of a bitch! Wh why? Are you with your fiancee?" his mother's voice. Yes, the habit of his father who always activates the speaker phone if he is with his mother.
"You can take her for breakfast together" her mother suggested later. "We just need to add one more plate. Mom cooked your favorite food."
Gavin shook his head, it was not a good idea, even though he was very tempted. His relationship with Helli has a grace period that will end when the time has come. After all, Helli did not know about his Vasquez self and his family nor did he know if he was hiding his true identity from Helli.
"He's busy, Mom. Maybe next time," Gavin gave an excuse.
"Gavin, are you with Helli?" This time his brother's voice was heard. Gavin grunts. His frustration with his beloved sister had not fully recovered.
"I'm alone, what's wrong?"
"In the room."
"Gavin! So you spent the night with your fiancee?!" His mother is back to sound. "Mom will hoist yours if you do anything Gavin Vasquez!!"
Gavin grimaced, spontaneously holding his own, protecting his pride.
"Mom, what a barbarian you say. I am a good boy who is very concerned with norms and morals. I was in the living room, waiting for him to get ready in the room. I picked her up to take her to the set. I'm the man in charge."
I don't know where the norms and morals that he said when his tongue was so smooth and natural when throwing a series of words full of lies.
"Why is it so hard to believe what you're saying, Son?"
Hais, once her father opens his mouth, his words contain poison that leads opinions to negativity.
"That's because your blood runs in my blood, Dad. I inherited what you have."
"Not expert in lying."
"You're a man, I'm a man. Come on, Dad, don't let me expose your secrets in front of your beloved Mom and daughter."
"Basic son of a bitch!"
Tut! Phone calls are disconnected. Gavin put down his phone. At 8:30, Helli hasn't come down yet either.
"All right, I'll wait another half hour. If he hadn't gotten up and come down, I'd have broken down his bedroom door."
"But if he's awake, what am I supposed to say? Greeting as usual as if there were no problems?"
