"Gosh, what did I see? Hais, this is embarrassing. Too bad I can't see the woman's face. But it seems very young. Oh my goodness, my father-in-law is still very passionate and has good taste. I seem to know his voice."
"If anyone sees you walking while talking to yourself, people will gossip about Oscar's fiancee who seems to have a nuisance."
Grace just stopped moving. He did not turn around because without turning around he could guess who the owner of the voice accused him of having a mental disorder. Grace took a breath, regulating her emotions so as not to get distracted with enough words to provoke the anger. Considering today was a good day, he did not want to ruin it by serving Damian's words with a vein. Yup! That man is Damian. The generous man vacated his hotel for two days after this engagement.
Slowly Grace turned around, desperately forced, she smiled her big smile and it seemed that Damian knew that her smile was so full of theatrics that not a single bit of the man's lips twitched to return her smile.
"Hi," Grace still continues her drama of being a super-friendly, positive-minded woman.
"Hi," replied the widower reluctantly and haughty mimic that sucks.
Hold Grace, this widower has various kinds of polemics in his life. Please understand.
"What are you doing here?"
"At this hotel? It's mine."
Oh my God, haughty seems to have become this man's middle name. Fortunately, his daughter is sweet, if not...
Grace stopped her grumbling in the heart. Lf it doesn't? If no... He did not know what sentence would complete the sentence.
"Yes, of course it's yours. Oscar told me a few days ago. You're so generous," Grace unconsciously flicked her lips, that the compliment turned into a sneer.
"But what am I asking, what are you doing here?" Grace pointed to the floor where she was resting with both index fingers.
Damian looked at her with a strange expression that said as if, Grace is indeed a woman who has a slight disturbance.
Grace stepped up, eroding the distance between them, abruptly leaning towards Damian until the man could clearly smell the perfume she was wearing. A very soft, not pungent floral scent at all that could make her nose itch.
"What else do people do in the toilet?" Damian pushed Grace's head away from him. "I should have asked you what you were doing in the men's room."
"I'm lost. Not paying attention to the sign. Did you see that too?" Grace tiptoed, intending to whisper in Damian's ear. However, even though he was on his tiptoes, his mouth could only reach the tip of the man's shoulder until his breath was blown at Damian's neck.
Damian pushed back his face, then pulled out a handkerchief from behind his suit, cleaning the hands that had suddenly gotten a sneer from Grace.
"You offended me. Your actions seem to indicate that you just touched the dirt. Grenda has a thicker putty make up than I let you know."
"Oscar may be confused where his fiance is actively wandering." Damian said indifferently.
"God! Your fault! You're asking me to gossip." Grace turned around, just two steps back she twisted her body. "Did you see that scene?"
"The scene?"
"Yes, that adult scene happened in one of the toilet cubicles."
Damian cleared his throat, "Lookie!"
"I accidentally saw it. Is this why Oscar never got along with his father?"
Damian's eyebrows swooped, "What do you want to say, Miss Vasquez."
"Mrs. Lawrence likes young women. Is this why Oscar doesn't like his father."
"Stop gossiping, focus on your show, gossip lady!"
"Ck! You're not fun, not exciting at all. Thanks for your participation in this event, by the way. It's a beautiful hotel."
"Congratulations to your engagement. Don't disappoint Oscar."
"Desappointing Oscar isn't on my life list, Damie."
Damian choked on hearing Grace's name.
"Whatever."
"Well, I'll call you that. Damie, sweet name, isn't it?"
"I can say it's sweet if I've tasted it."
"His, you're this."
"Go, Oscar's waiting."
"Oh, you're right too. Speaking of your advice, I'll never let Oscar down because I love him so much!"
For the first time Damian pulled both corners of his lips, thin and faint, but Grace managed to see it before the all-important smile dissipated so quickly.
"You don't want to see our engagement?"
"I'll be joining soon after making the call." Damian picked up his phone.
"All right, I'm leaving."
"Hm."
___
"Oh my God, where have you been?" Oscar immediately greeted Grace upon seeing her fiance's presence. "I thought you changed your mind and chose to run away."
"I can't do it. Has anyone praised you today?"
Oscar folded his lips, "Why? I look charming?"
"Ck! You seem to be very aware of it."
"I'm trying to impress you and what I find is precisely myself being amazed. You're amazing." Oscar stared at her in awe that was blatantly portrayed, making Grace's face red. The girl really blushed.
"I also try to perform optimally. I'm glad I did it. When are you gonna put a ring on my ring finger?"
Oscar chuckled, Grace always managed to keep him entertained with innocent spontaneous sentences coming out of her fiance's mouth.
"Helli says you're so nervous, I don't see any nervousness at all."
"That's because my nervousness was swallowed up by my immense admiration. You've always managed to sedate me with your handsome face. Geez, I can't imagine how many heartbroken women are casting curses on me."
Oscar laughed again, laughing more loosely. His hand gently rubbed Grace's head because it did not want to damage the order.
"You're so adorable. Is that a compliment or an innuendo."
"Catch both. When the show started. I can't wait."
"God. Dulce will be bringing us our engagement ring," Oscar held Grace's hand, guiding the girl onto the stage for the ring to be seen by everyone.
Dulce approached them, giving Oscar a jewelry box. Oscar opened the box. A diamond with a simple design but looks very beautiful plastered there. The ring was purely Oscar's choice. There's a carving of her name and Grace.
"Give me your hand, my beloved?"
"It is with pleasure, my Priu," said Grace, blushing in shame.
The ring was pinned on his ring finger accompanied by thunderous applause. Grace's father and brother stared at them full of haru. Didn't expect that their beloved girl would share her heart with another man who was her heart's choice.
"Now you've been trapped with me, Miss Vasquez," Oscar whispered in Grace's ear before peeking at the girl's cheek. "Don't you ever take your eyes off me, okay, my sweet fiancee?"
