Grace went down the stairs while humming cheerfully. A happy smile that still looked the same as yesterday expanded on her beautiful face. His left hand was raised into the air, showing off his sweet fingers adorned with Oscar-chosen beautiful diamonds.
"It's beautiful" Yes, someone so precious will always look special, whatever it is. Whether it's expensive or cheap. This is what Grace feels right now. He could even buy more expensive jewelry than Oscar had bought and he also knew that Oscar could afford more rings than he currently wears.
"Good morning everyone," he said cheerfully.
"Good morning, Grace. Sleep, okay?" Helli greeted him with a smile that was no less wide.
"I can't even sleep, Helli. I'm afraid it's still a dream."
Yeah, Helli knows how Grace is feeling right now. He's experienced that. Even the first time Gavin kissed her, Helli could not close his eyes at all and when Gavin expressed love for her, Helli felt that he was in nirvana.
"I wish it was a dream" Gavin interrupted without stopping the food in front of him. Grace and Helli compactly swerved towards the man.
"Do I need your comments and opinions? Hais, he always manages to ruin my happiness."
Grace grunted as she pulled out a chair for her to occupy. Gavin was indeed the last person to give permission when Oscar came to propose to Grace to be her fiance. While their father and mother are the ones who leave all the decisions to each one if it concerns a life partner.
"Dad, your son is bothering me!"
"Stop picking at your sister, Gav." Glend exclaims.
"You're no less annoying either, Dad." Gavin looked at his father full of hostility. "How can you give Oscar permission to propose to your daughter when they're in a relationship in a matter of days."
"Two months, Gavin!!" sergeant Grace with a pissed-off plot.
"Two months is still a matter of days" Gavin, with his plate, responded to Grace's protest.
"Then what's wrong?"
"Wrongly because you gave Oscar such an easy way."
"I love her."
"Yes, I can see it and it makes you look stupid!"
"Gavin!!" three different compact sounds are calling out. Gavin stared one by one at the faces that were there. Father, mother, sister and lastly Helli.
"I don't like Oscar" Gavin explained to Grace, not to Helli. But seeing the look on his wife's face which also seemed to hold back his frustration, he thought it was important to make Helli understand. It can be troublesome if his beautiful wife is angry. The ultimate move of a million women can come out. Hais, I don't know since when Helli defended his sister more than he did.
"Grace is engaged to Oscar not based on your feelings."
"We're twin brothers."
"What connection?" Grace interrupted again.
"If you like someone, I should be able to feel it too."
"How can you like Oscar when you and he are rivals in a despicable fight."
"Well, that's the problem. Oscar's not the kind of guy who's going to commit easily, Gre!"
"What a difference to you! You're not a better man than Oscar!" Grace hung up her sentence, she looked at Helli with a contrite regretful look, "Sorry, I have to insult your husband. He pisses me off."
Helli could only take a deep breath, as well as their parents. Nothing will stop the two brothers fighting.
"I also doubt you'll ever get back on the straight path. My judgment is seriously wrong. You realize how you feel about Helli in the moments that Helli wants to throw you away and how dare you even marry her the second you express your feelings. See, you and Helli are married and living happily."
"Our case is different."
Gavin was silent for a moment. Happy ending? Everyone wants a happy ending. Gavin, too, wants his only brother to feel happiness. During this time, Grace was endowed with sincere and great affection. The girl did not know what it was called heartache. I swear by anything, Gavin can't imagine that one day Grace will be faced with a complicated heart problem.
Gavin did not deny that during these months, Oscar's treatment of Grace was very good and sweet. But Gavin often does that. Men like him and Oscar won't find it hard to get the woman they want. What Gavin was worried about was the moment when Oscar began to be saturated with the innocent attitude and behavior of his sister who was clearly not the type of woman who made Oscar crazy. It's possible that Grace could have been the right woman for Oscar to turn into a great man, but that's a very small possibility according to Gavin.
That very small possibility will actually provide a great opportunity for Grace to feel what heartache is.
Gavin may have thought too far, but it was because he loved his sister so much. Grace only knew two men in her life. Father and brother. Two men bowing their knees before their women. Gavin bet that Grace never thought that there were so many different types of men out there.
"of course. There's nothing more I wish for than your happiness, Gre," Gavin took a deep breath. Should he entrust all decisions to Grace as his family did.
"I'm happy. Oscar's a good man."
"Nice doesn't mean right."
"You're a bitch. I don't want to talk to you!" Grace turned her face away from Gavin. His cheered face showed a real annoyance.
"Have this quarrel and let's enjoy this breakfast with gratitude." Finally his mother made a sound while rubbing his daughter's arm.
"Gavin didn't mean to disrespect your choice. He's just too worried about you. Daddy and Mom believe that you can account for your choices. A story not everything goes smoothly, even Mom has never seen a story that goes smoothly without any obstacles and challenges. Your story's just beginning, there's gonna be a lot of gravel you're going through."
"I know." Grace muttered softly though she actually did not understand what her mother said.
"Gavin just doesn't want you to get hurt." Father added. "Nobody here wants that. However, as your mother said, we believe in your choice because you are the one who lives and feels it. No one can control and force your heart, right?"
"He always said that he would marry the man who looked at him the way you looked at Mom, ask your daughter, has Oscar looked at her that way?"
"He adores me, Oscar!"
"And Dad's look at Mom wasn't just adoring!"
"Don't talk to me!"
"okay!"
"You're annoying!"
"Yes!"
"Helli, tonight you have to sleep with me!"
"Continue threatening."
"Halli should have married a better man than you!"
"There's no better man than me."
"Oh yeah?"
"You can ask my wife."
Grace softly turned to Helli asking for an answer.
"Gavin is the best, Grace," Helli said solemnly.
"Swives suck!!"
