My Naughty Fiance's

My Naughty Fiance's
Nothing Will Change

Helli really feels like a mosquito. For the umpteenth time he was ignored. Gavin and Mona are busy reminiscing. Wanting to interrupt, he felt impolite. Wanting to rebuke and voice him there, he was also not prepared to get a look of protest from Gavin. The man repeatedly laughed when Mona exposed their behavior as a child. The good thing about this unpleasant situation was that Helli could see Gavin's incredible laughter. From his second conversation, which he caught, Gavin and Monalisa have been friends since they were in kindergarten. Wow, a very long-lasting friendship.

"Hm, tell me how you and Gavin met, Helli?"

Helli flinched, not expecting to get any questions from Mona. "Oh, at that time I was being pursued by the debt collector" he said lackluster. The honest confession left Gavin and Mona frowning in confusion. "Ah, I mean we accidentally met at a restaurant when he dumped his girlfriend and after that I was already his fiancee all of a sudden."

Gavin rolls his eyeballs, while Mona is increasingly confused.

"Usually Gavin always told me anything. Even as small as that."

"Now you won't be bothered by him anymore, Mona. He already has a fiancee."

Helli smiled sweetly, unaware of the surprised mimicry of the woman behind Gavin. Yeah, they're in the car right now to Mona's house.

"So, you and Gavin have been friends for a long time?"

"Yes, almost my whole life. We went to school in the same place even to college."

Wow, what an amazing friendship. I thought the friendship between a man and a woman never existed. There is always a hidden feeling from either side. And here, Gavin is the one who harbors the feeling. Hm, or Mona also keeps the same flavor. It seems like the two are stuck in a comfort zone called friendship.

"I envy that kind of friendship," Helli's remark got a glimpse from Gavin.

"You don't have any friends?" ask the man who refocused on the path he went through.

"Children of childhood? Yeah, I don't have it. The only one I can call a friend is Nicky. I've known him since I was 16. Ever since I jumped into the world of modeling. I'm not in school."

Gavin turned back to him, this time for longer. Helli who got a concerned look could only pull the corner of his lips into a smile. "Do you mind if you have a little stupid fiancee?"

"I wonder when you guys got engaged? You and Gavin seem awkward to each other?"

Mona's words made Helli misbehave. He was not a good liar. His face was panicked and nervous.

"Pretty long." Gavin answered. "We rarely talk about sensitive things that have passed. That's not the case Ms. Scas... Hellie?"

Helli nodded his head, "Yes, when we got engaged, he even gave me a very nice ring." Helli showed off his hand. Mona's face changed when she saw the shape of the ring.

"Ah, this ring. I really like it. Only two were produced. One owned by Mrs. Vasquez. I used to want it so much." There was a jealous tone tucked in there. Helli.

Helli noticed the ring he had pinned. Is beautiful. Yes, he must admit. But Helli was convinced that there were many counterfeits like this on the market.

"Hmmm..." Helli lifted his head and was stunned to see Gavin looking at Mona from the glass. Helli turned to the object that Gavin was looking at, the girl's face looked gloomy.

After a conversation about the ring, there was only silence in the car until Gavin stopped the car in front of a mansion that was quite luxurious.

"We've arrived" Gavin disembarked, immediately opening the passenger door for Mona. Helli picked in the car watching both.

"I thought you'd take me to your apartment. Do you and Helli live in the house?"

"You need to rest" Gavin rubbed the girl's face with his fingers, refusing to answer Mona's question.

Gavin nosedived an eyebrow at his best friend's question. A friend he has loved for a long time. As Helli had guessed, Gavin was stuck with his own feelings. She fears losing Mona if she expresses her feelings.

So, so far what he has done is to follow wherever the girl goes to school until Mona has been working in Australia for the past year. Gavin planned to propose to her three months ago. However, the plan was only a plan once Mona preached her wedding plans. He lost the start and he was angry about it.

Her mission is to win Mona's heart before the wedding happens by making the girl jealous in order to realize her feelings. Gavin was too confident to assume that all women could not resist him. Yes, his pride was quite hurt when Monalisa reported that there was another man in his heart.

"Why should I change?"

"You already have a fiancee."

"Are you going to change too? You have a husband too?"

"No! I had even given him the condition that we would never limit our friendship. You know I can't live without you."

"You should marry me then" Gavin muttered softly.

"You mean?"

"Nothing's gonna change, Mona. Everything is still the same. I will always be there for you. No one will be able to shift your position."

"Including your fiancee?"

"Including anyone" he said firmly. Yes, in her heart, Mona has a very special place. Mona is a priority for him. Mona was his dream.

"I'm relieved to hear it," Mona touched Gavin's face, rubbing him gently.

Gavin closed his eyes, enjoying the woman's touch. Why there should be another man. Why Mona is not married to herself. Uh! It feels like Gavin wants to send his best friend's future husband to the Bermuda triangle. No one knows Mona better than her. Mona hates winter, but she likes night more than day. Mona likes to collect love story novels. There were many other things that the man had memorized.

Gavin touches Mona's hand still on her face. The eyes of the two are still clinging to each other. A few minutes later, they laughed.

"Come in, I don't want to hear you're sick. You must be so exhausted."

Mona nodded obediently, "You don't want to say hello to my mother's father?"

"Other times."

"Alright, I'll pay a visit to your workshop. But before that I'll meet Uncle and Aunty first. I miss them so much."

"They miss you too."

Mona erodes the distance between them and lands a kiss on Gavin's cheek before the girl enters the fence.

"Bye, Gavin."

Gavin just nodded his head. After Mona is no longer seen, she gets into the car, finding Helli sleeping with her mouth slightly open. Gavin grinned, bobbing his head.

"There is no sweetness if you are asleep," he said while running the car. "Gosh, he's snoring too."
