Oh My Cecunguk

Oh My Cecunguk
My sister and my fiancee's wedding

I don't know why that afternoon I was so nervous. I patted my chest which felt tight as if a large rock was piercing it. My anxiety increased when my arm accidentally nudged a photo that had long adorned my desk. That's my picture with Kevin, my future husband. Yeah, I've got a girlfriend and we're getting married.

Shards of glass were scattered after the photo hit the floor hard. The frame's falling apart. I leaned over, picking up the glass. However, due to my carelessness, the glass hurt me. Scratch my finger until it spits out a drop of blood and stain the photo underneath.

I was stunned, looking at the photo with my heart pounding. Somehow my hunch says something bad happened, but I don't know what it is.

I stopped cleaning the glass and got up. Pick up the phone in the drawer and call Kevin.

I bit my fingers unconsciously, feeling more agitated because Kevin never raised my call. Until finally a woman's voice said "Sorry, the number you are going to..."

I turned it off and repeated it once again, hoping this time Kevin picked it up. However, until the third ring, the result was still the same as before. I'm getting nervous, because Kevin's not usually like that. He always answered my calls even in meetings. My mind went haywire.

Is Kevin okay? Did something bad happen to him? Could it be an accident or something?

I took a long breath. Trying to calm down and get rid of the bad thoughts that continue to cross my mind. But it didn't work.

I glanced at the clock on the wall. There's still about an hour and a half left before work ends. Fuck the company rules. No matter if my salary was cut or I had to lose my job, I left the office right then and there.

I rushed to his office. Walk in haste and meet Kevin's secretary with gasping breath.

"Good afternoon Miss Alea, there's something I can help you with." Shinta greeted me kindly. The secretary has known me for a long time. The woman also knew that I was Kevin's fiancee as well as the future son-in-law of the owner of the company where he works now.

"I want to see Kevin, is he there?"

Shinta scrunched her forehead. "Isn't Kevin with you?" ask him confusedly.

"My company?" repeated it.

Shinta nodded. "Yes. He left an hour ago, he said he wanted to see you."

"Do you know where he's going?" my many.

"Sir Kevin didn't tell me where to go, but I overheard him talking to someone on the phone and he said he was going to the apartment soon."

"Alright, thanks for the info, Shinta. I'll go first." I'm going straight away. Ignoring the shouts of Shinta saying see you later.

I stopped the taxi and asked the driver to drive quickly to Linggarjati's apartment.

Arriving there, I rushed into the apartment we shared. Yes, although not married, but we already live under one roof.

I smiled when I found that Kevin's pantofel was already there. However, my smile disappeared instantly as my eyes looked at the pair of shoes of the woman next to him.

Not only that, as I went deeper, I found some clothes strewn across the floor. My heart is racing faster and faster. I stepped in fearfully, approaching our room which was now filled with moans and also moans that were mutual.

With trembling hands, I opened the door that was not locked. The door hit the wall hard. Surprising two men playing horses on a bed without a thread.

The two looked at me with wide eyes.

"Lilly..."

"Sister..."

Call both at the same time. Kevin pulled out a blanket to cover his naked body. So too with the woman.

Kevin's... Alias... What are you guys doing? How can you do something like that?I want to say that, but my tongue feels muddy. Not a word could come out of my mouth that shook. I stared at them, like a fool.

My heart is like being crushed and torn. The pain was overwhelming, as if thousands of knives had pierced him many times. My chest is sore and tight, making it difficult for me to breathe.

The next second a clear liquid melted from the corner of my eye, wetting my cheek. As much as I can, I try to maintain my position to stay standing. Although it repeatedly nearly collapsed, it was as if all my bones were loose. I turned around and dragged my feet which felt heavy. I left them without a word. Get out of the apartment and walk with your face down.

I almost got hit by a motorcycle when I crossed the street. Surprised by her deafening horn, I fell and sat on the asphalt.

"Are you blind?! It can cross without looking!" yelled the motorcyclist.

It would be better if I was blind, so that I would not have to witness such a disgusting and painful sight.

"What are you doing now? Not getting up? Don't you know where you are?" The man asked in an angry tone. "Hey... Woman, wake up and wake up. Look around you, you're in the middle of the road now. If you want to die, go somewhere else, don't bother anyone."

His words were very spicy, but it did not affect me at all. My heart was too sick to numb. I won't feel anything even if one world scolds me.

The man got off his bike. Standing in front of me with a waist. While I stayed still in place. I lowered my head and looked at my bleeding knee.

"In addition to being blind, are you deaf?!" The man shouted again.

Instantly my tears broke. I cried in front of the stranger.

"I don't know why he was crying, I didn't hit him, he fell alone." The man defended himself as the people around us asked.

"Women... Stop crying and wake up. People will misunderstand me if you keep doing this" the man said. His voice was softer than before.

The man lowered his body, crouching in front of me. "Did your leg hurt?"

I looked up, staring at his face covered in a mask. Only his narrow eyes were visible and also his skin that was as white as snow.

No. gabe. Not my legs, but my heart that hurts, hurts so much.

...****************...

Two months later.

How hard I resisted, in the end this marriage still happened. Like it or not, inevitably, I still have to swallow that bitter pill.

Kevin and Alia. I stared at the three words on a board decorated with flowers. I took a deep breath, mentally preparing before entering the large hall.

Right, they must feel sorry for me. Someone who should be the bride is now actually present as an invited guest. What was more my position was replaced by Alia, my insolent sister.

Don't cry, you're a strong woman, you can do it, Alea. I kept repeating the mantra in my heart as I continued to move on.

I was on this stage too. The little stage I've been dreaming of for a long time. A stage decorated with thousands of flowers of all kinds and colors. As well as the royal seat in the center, under the large crystal lamp that hangs on the ceiling.

I drove away the sadness that suddenly appeared. Hurriedly stepped up and walked over to the two parents who had almost become my father and mother-in-law.

The two stood in a row at the pelaminan, accompanying his favorite son who might be happy.

"You're coming, son." Ibrahim Sanjaya, Kevin's father welcomed my arrival warmly. I kissed the back of his palm as a form of respect.

"Of course, P... I mean, Om." I forgot, now I'm not his son-in-law anymore. I can't call him papa anymore, as usual.

"It's my sister's wedding. As a family member, Lea should come," I said, smiling.

"Don't call papa like that, Lea. Although Lea is not married to Kevin, Lea will still be the son of Papa and Mama. Understood?"

I'm nodding. "Lea understands, Pa. Thank you." Thank you."

Papa Ibra stretched out his hands up, stroking my head and cheeks. "Blessed, my son" he said before I turned to his left side.

There, a beautiful woman looked at me with teary eyes. I lift both corners of my mouth up. Trying to convince her that I'm okay.

I burst into his arms as the woman spread out both hands, welcoming me.

"I'm sorry Kevin, yes, dear" he said, sobbing.

"No need to ask, Lea has forgiven him, Ma" I said.

"Thank you, dear." Nadia, Kevin's mother took off her arms.

I reached out, wiping away the tears of my mother Nadia who was flooding over.

"Why is Mom crying? Mama should be happy-in a moment Mama has a grandchild," comforted me.

"Mama would be happy if that granddaughter were from you, honey."

"Don't be like that, Ma. From whatever woman your granddaughter is born to, you have to be happy. Alia and Leah are not much different. She is a nice girl and also sweet. Mama will love it."

"Mama likes you better, Lea."

I smile. Feeling happy because he still receives a lot of love from both parents Kevin. "Thank you for loving me, Ma."

Mama Nadia looked overwhelmed. He hugged me again for a while, after which he landed a kiss on both my cheek and forehead.

After finishing with Kevin's two parents, I shifted to the side. My eyes are now on a couple who have just officially become a married couple. Suddenly the shadow as the two of them clashed on the bed flashed through my mind. I held onto my chest as I felt a painful pain in my heart. The pain was so strong that it made my chest tight and I had trouble breathing.

Kevin, who was standing two meters away from me, ran towards me. His large palm supported my back carefully. Like I could fall at any moment. His other hand, clasping my hand tightly. "What's up, Ly... Are you sick?" ask her with an anxious face.

"I'm fine" I said, shaking off his hands that were still holding me.

"So your attitude! many people are watching. Do you want to embarrass our family?"

That way Kevin stepped back and went back to where he was. Standing next to Alia who was looking at me with a look of hate.

Funny right? I should have hated him. He stole everything from me. Not only did it take away my fiancee, but it also robbed me of my happiness and my future.

As the saying goes. Blood is thicker than water. That's my relationship and that's Alia's. After all, he's still my brother. Regardless of what he has done to me, I forgive him.

"Be a good wife. Don't argue too much and learn to be mature" I said to my sister.

Alia did not answer. Face bowed. I approached, hugging him. Alia remained silent, not returning my embrace.

"Blessed, Lia. I pray that your marriage will last until death do us part."

I took off my arms and turned away from her. He looked at Kevin who was looking at me.

"Congratulations on your marriage, Mom. Alia Titip. Don't ever hurt him. Born and inwardly," my message to a former fiancee who has now become a sister-in-law.

"We need to talk, Ly," said Kevin. He did not care even though Alia was glaring at him.

"There's nothing to talk about anymore, Mom. We're done."

"I still love you, Ly."

I love you too, Mom. I want to say that phrase to him. But I can only say it in my heart.

"Goodbye, Mom. Be happy." I stepped away. Leaving the place after saying goodbye to both parents and extended family.

Single-minded. Mom's message always ringing in my head. One word that is very easy to say, but so hard to execute. To be honest, I haven't been able to let Kevin go. I hated him because he betrayed me, betrayed our love. But that hate is no greater than my love and affection for her.
