"Come home" Kevin asked. I nodded in agreement. No matter the job. Although I need it but the environment in this place no longer supports me. If I stay in this company, it'll be like plunging myself into a hellhole. With a limp step I walked hand in hand with Kevin. My legs haven't fully healed so I haven't been able to walk normally, still limping a little.
"What's wrong with your leg?" kevin asked as soon as he realized something was wrong with the way I walked. He looked down, watching my left ankle wrapped in a light brown elastic bandage. After that, I looked back at my face.
"Your feet are hurt but still force yourself to come to the office and work?" he said with a high voice.
"I just found out that you love enriching the company of others" he said with an annoyed face.
I grin. Then lowered his head as he glared at me. "It doesn't hurt anymore" I said, lying.
"You walked with a limp but still dared to say no pain?"
His sharp gaze and also his voice was loud, both of them instantly made my voice shrill. I dare not argue with him anymore.
"It hurts a little" I said, admitting.
I held both hands around his neck as Kevin lifted my body. Kevin started walking while carrying me. "Although it only hurts a little, you still can't push yourself, Ly. What else is just to work, is not at all an important affair," he said in a softer tone.
Huh huh? How could he call my job unimportant? It's my only source of income, if I don't work then I can't eat. If not working, you can still eat. There is Kevin who is always ready to guarantee my life, meet my needs and desires. No matter what nominal I ask, will it be tens to hundreds of millions he will surely give me, with pleasure. It's just that I'm not that kind of person. I don't want to be on the stamp of a matre woman or crazy treasure. As long as I can, I will pay for my own life.
Dozens of pairs of eyes stared at the two of us, both while still in my office and when we exited the building.
"Don't be afraid, there's me by your side" Kevin said as I hid the face in his chest.
"Lift your face and hold your head, don't let you lose to them" he added, firmly.
I said, I held my head up. Look back at everyone who looks at us. Just like Kevin did. Those people turned their faces so against me, or with Kevin more precisely. I laughed wickedly in my heart. Not even everyone was struggling when dealing directly with Kevin. No one dared to look at him, let alone make fun of him. Understand that my man's stature is high. Although currently wearing a thick coat but still clearly visible body shape is stocky. Some people also know that Kevin is not an ordinary person. He is quite famous in the business world, as a young entrepreneur as well as the sole heir of AJ group. I'll bet no one would dare to offend him. Unless that man is looking to die.
Kevin's personal driver opened the door as soon as we arrived.
"Ahead," cried Kevin. The driver closed the back door and opened the front door. Kevin sat me there.
"You get back in a taxi, I'll drive myself" Kevin told the driver.
"Good, sir." The driver left us both. Kevin got in the car. He sat behind the wheel, next to me.
"How's Alia doing? She's okay, isn't she?" my many. Yesterday, Alia was very emotional, after beating me she was even unconscious. I'm afraid it will affect the baby in the womb.
Kevin looked unhappy. "That woman's been treating you so badly, but why do you still care about her, Ly?" he said with a cynical laugh.
"You're too good, honey," he added.
"However she is still my sister" I said, bowing my head. I don't know why I still can't hate him. What he did to me was too much.
"What about the content? It's okay, isn't it?" my question, again. I looked back at his face.
"I don't know. I don't care about any of that. After driving her to the hospital, I went straight home and looked for you, but you're not home" he said.
So Kevin was looking for me? I thought he didn't care about me at the time. If Alan hadn't brought me back then, Kevin would have been my savior, I murmured inwardly. I secretly smiled happily at him. Then it stopped before Kevin realized it.
"How could you not care about that? she's pregnant with your child, isn't Mas Kevin worried about the child in her womb?" my question, wonder. Not caring about Alia is no problem. But if Kevin doesn't care about his son that's not true. However, the child was his flesh and blood, even though he did not like his mother.
"No" he said without hesitation. "I don't care about anyone but you, Ly."
I'm staring. While Kevin looked straight ahead, focusing on driving. "That's not true, Mom. The child is your flesh and blood, you must not ignore it" I said, reminding.
I looked at him in disbelief. How could Kevin be that cruel, not want to admit his son. "If Mas Kevin continues to behave like this, someday after you get divorced then you will lose custody of the child, Mas."
"Leave it, Ly. I don't want it."
I shook my head, inexhaustible with the way Kevin's mind didn't want his own son.
"Why, Mas? You don't like kids?" my many. He didn't like the boy, could it be because he didn't like the kids? Does she not intend to have children?
"It's not so," he argued.
"Then why?" my question, curious.
Kevin pulled the car over. Stop on the shoulder of the road. He turned his body to the left without shifting his hips. Now he is facing towards me. Leaned his body and stared fixedly at my face. "I don't want another woman's child, I just want a child born from your womb, Ly" she murmured.
He cupped my face with both hands, then brought his face closer to me. I closed my eyes as he kissed my lips.
"Let's get off" Kevin asked a moment later.
I reopened my eyes. Feeling embarrassed for being too washed away in his fondling. Until we realized we had arrived.
Kevin opened the door for me. Then came back to pick me up and walked down the alley, towards my residence.
"Mas ...," call me.
"Hm" he said briefly.
"I'm unemployed now, don't you intend to recruit me? I can be placed in any position, as an office girl is also okay," I said without looking at her.
Kevin stopped his steps. I looked back at him. I wonder what made him stop. He looked at me too, a sharp look.
"Work work! Is your brain just filled with work?" snapped, annoyed.
"So angry" I said, looking down.
"How come I'm not angry, you keep being stubborn. Is hurting but what you think is work continues. Can't you just rest at home? sitting quietly while waiting for me to come home" he said as he stepped back.
"If it's not working how can I eat? I am poor, I have no money. There I will die of hunger," I said with a face of bleakness.
"You think I'm gonna let you starve to death?" his challenge.
"I'll buy you a restaurant. Every day you can eat for free there, so there's no need to work" he added.
"Then buy me a Japanese restaurant, honey. I love sushi, I'll eat it every day" I said, laughing.
"All right, I'll take care of it soon" said Kevin.
Heh, he's not serious about his words, is he? buying a restaurant for me, that's too much, he's just kidding.
Kevin stopped his steps. His body immediately stiffened, his lips tightly clenched and his jaw seemed to harden. I wonder what he saw to such an extent that it made him shocked like that. I followed the direction of his view. He was surprised to find a middle-aged man standing tall not far from us. The old man looked at the two of us with a fierce look.
Seriate....
